Abstract

This study analyzes the appeal in Shopee's Flash Sale 10:10 Special Super Brand Day advertisement. The advertisement employs a combination of bright visual elements and compelling narratives to attract consumer attention and drive purchase behavior. Through a qualitative approach, the research explores how these elements contribute to the effectiveness of the advertisement, including their impact on consumer psychology, such as the phenomenon of Fear of Missing Out (FOMO). The findings indicate that the use of color, interactive design, and influencer engagement significantly enhance consumer purchase interest. This research provides valuable insights for marketing strategies in the digital era.

Abstract

College is an educational institution that has an important role in providing contributive discourse in social life. How the tradition of critical thinking, respecting pluralistic thinking, and trying to strengthen a multicultural society becomes an academic culture in the intellectual arena. In developing an academic culture, the academic community, in this case becomes an agent, with the appropriate capital and habitus, can change or achieve certain goals. So, to make this happen, analysis and practice are needed that support the development of academic culture. One of the roles of this research is to explain Pierre Bourdieu's thinking and its relevance to the development of academic culture in higher education. Of course, the academic culture in question is in accordance with the goals of each educational institution. Apart from providing Bourideu's perspective, this research also aims to explain the steps that must be taken by agents in an intellectual arena. This research uses a literature or library research method to understand Bourdieu's basic thought concepts related to academic culture. Finally, Bourdieu's concept of thought provides analysis and practices that must be carried out in developing an academic culture in higher education. And how to overcome the problems that occur in it.

Abstract

The advent of the pandemic has prompted changes in the learning motivations of students. This investigation seeks to ascertain how students perceive the relative merits of online and offline modes of learning and their relationship with students' learning motivations. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive methodology. This research design is descriptive with an interview approach, with the objective of eliciting students' perspectives on online and offline learning and their relationship to student learning motivation. The analysis of this study revealed a consensus among the respondents that online learning affords a greater sense of relaxation. Nevertheless, online learning is perceived as a source of boredom and lack of engagement. In contrast, offline learning is associated with a high level of motivation, particularly when students can learn with friends. This negative reaction manifests in students telling stories or engaging in other distracting activities when the teacher presents the learning material. Furthermore, students are easily bored during learning, suggesting that the relaxing experience of online learning has an adverse effect on their attention span in the traditional classroom setting. In light of the students’ perceptions, it is hoped that teachers will be able to create engaging offline learning environments and encourage more student activities with their peers.

Abstract

The demographic bonus is a phenomenon where a country has a population of productive age that is greater than the population of non-productive age. However, to optimize the potential for a demographic bonus, effective management of change communication messages is needed to build positive perceptions among the public. This research aims to analyze and understand how management of change communication messages can play a role in building positive perceptions about the demographic bonus. The research method used is a qualitative approach by collecting data through literature written by communication experts, practitioners and related stakeholders. Apart from that, document analysis and literature studies were also carried out to obtain relevant information. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide better insight and understanding of the importance of managing change communication messages in building positive perceptions about the demographic bonus. Apart from that, it is also hoped that this research can provide practical recommendations in developing effective communication strategies to increase public understanding and participation regarding the demographic bonus. It is hoped that the conclusions of this research can contribute to stakeholders, government and society in optimizing the potential for demographic bonuses effectively and sustainably. With good management of change communication messages, it is hoped that positive perceptions about the demographic bonus can be formed and the public can better understand and support the change efforts needed to make optimal use of the demographic bonus.

Abstract

AbstrakPeran komunikasi lingkungan sangatlah penting untuk mengatasi permasalahan lingkungan diperkotaan, salah satu untuk mengatasi pencemaran lingkungan melalui pengelolaan sampah rumah tangga. Inisiasi warga RW 06 Kelurahan Ciganjur Jakarta Selatan bersama Dinas Lingkungan Hidup dan Kelurahan Ciganjur telah membentuk bank sampah “Berseri” dan sekaligus telah mendapatkan penghargaan predikat salah satu kampung iklim dari Gubernur Anies Baswedan ditahun 2021. Tujuan penelitian ini ingin mengetahui sejauh mana peran komunikasi lingkungan wilayah RW06 dan dalam aktivitas pengelolaan bank sampah “Berseri”. Adapun teori digunakan: komunikasi lingkungan, strategi komunikasi, Menggunakan metode riset deskriptif kualitatif berjenis studi kasus tunggal terjalin. Teknik pengumpulan data: observasi, wawancara terstruktur, studi pustaka, sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan: deskripsi, reduksi, rekonstruksi dan interpretasi. Uji keabsahan menggunakan triangulasi sumber,data dan teori. Hasil penelitian menyatakan kemunculan peran komunikasi lingkungan ditandai adanya wacana dan isu lingkungan disertai media-media yang mempublikasikannya sedangkan inisiasi dan partisipasi melalui forum warga sebagai ruang publik yang menciptakan ruang dialog dan komunikasi persuasif. Sehingga terbentuklah bank sampah yang dimonitoring dari Dinas Lingkungan Hidup dan Kelurahan Ciganjur. Upaya pengelolaan bank sampah “Berseri” yang melibatkan Ibu-Ibu Dasawisma dari sisi: sosialisasi, edukasi, penyuluhan yang berkesinambungan (suistainable) mampu mengelola bank sampah serta memanfaatkan kembali hingga bernilai jual dengan cara metode 3R (recycle-reuse,reduce) dengan cara menabung ditabungan bank sampah. Peran komunikasi lingkungan dengan membentuk bank sampah berseri pada lingkungan di RW 06 mampu membentuk lingkungan yang asri, dan kepercayaan warga untuk menabung sampahKata Kunci: Strategi, Komunikasi Lingkungan, Dialog, Bank Sampah AbstractThe role of environmental communication is very important to overcome environmental problems in the city, one of which is to overcome environmental pollution through household waste management. The initiation of residents of RW 06 Ciganjur Village, South Jakarta together with the Environment Agency and Ciganjur Village has formed a waste bank "Serial" and at the same time has received an award for the title of one of the climate villages from Governor Anies Baswedan in 2021. The purpose of this study is to find out the extent of the role of environmental communication in the RW06 area and in the management activities of the "Serial" waste bank. The theory is used: environmental communication, communication strategies, Using qualitative descriptive research methods of the type of single case studies are intertwined. Data collection techniques: observation, structured interviews, literature studies, while data analysis techniques use: description, reduction, reconstruction and interpretation. Test validity using triangulation of sources, data and theory. The results of the study stated that the emergence of the role of environmental communication was marked by environmental discourses and issues accompanied by media that published them while initiation and participation through citizen forums as a public space that created a space for dialogue and persuasive communication. So that a waste bank was formed which was monitored from the Environment Agency and Ciganjur Village. Efforts to manage the "Serial" waste bank involving Dasawisma Mothers in terms of: socialization, education, sustainable counseling (suistainable) are able to manage waste banks and reuse to sell value by means of the 3R method (recycle-reuse, reduce) by saving in the waste bank. Abstract

In the midst of intense competition, e-commerce companies must be astute in seeing every opportunity to grow and effectively create new breakthroughs so that people do not move and continue to make transactions with the company. One way to develop a buying and selling business rapidly nowadays is to sell herbal herbal products online, both from social media and on e-commerce buying and selling platforms. The aim of this research is to analyze and test the influence of service quality, customer experience and trust on the loyalty of herbal medicine consumers who have shopped online on the Lazada marketplace. This research uses quantitative methods with multiple regression analysis. Sampling applied a purposive sampling method and the number of samples in this research was 87 respondents obtained by distributing online questionnaires via WhatsApp to online herbal medicine consumers in the Lazada marketplace. Consumers know the Lazada marketplace and have purchased herbal medicine online on the Lazada marketplace at least 3 times. Data were analyzed using IBM SPSS version 26 through several tests, namely: validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis and coefficient of determination test. The results of this research show that service quality, customer experience and trust have a positive and significant effect, both partially and simultaneously, on the loyalty of herbal medicine consumers who have shopped online on the Lazada marketplace. It is hoped that Lazada will further adjust the menu displayed in its application according to needs in order to increase consumer confidence. This can be done by changing the appearance of the application to add to a good shopping experience for consumers.

Abstract

The research purpose is to explore the of thesis guidance meaning management in communication studies programs that combined with interpersonal strategies, and to unite the interrelationships between the interpersonal communication process and the coordination of meaning management. The research method is qualitative method with a constructivist paradigm with a case study research method. The research was conducted on three campuses in Jakarta: Mpu Tantular University, Surya University and IBI Kosgoro 1957. The results showed that interpersonal communication strategies in a thesis guidance managed by interpersonal relationship approaches. It formed coordination of meaning through: openness, empathy, positiviness, supportiveness, and equality.

Abstract

This research contrasts the digital strategic communication approaches employed by Pertamina (Indonesia) and Petronas (Malaysia), two prominent Southeast Asian oil and gas corporations, in disseminating their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects. As environmental concerns and climate change intensify, these companies have advanced significantly in sustainable development. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is highly valued in modern society, particularly for oil and gas enterprises catering to regional energy demands. While Pertamina and Petronas fulfil national roles, they also confront global sustainability challenges. The methodology involves analysing the Instagram profiles of @pertamina and @petronas. The study employs qualitative content analysis to scrutinise visual rhetoric, engagement metrics, message framing, the frequency of CSR posts, and audience responses, including likes, comments, and shares. The results indicate distinct approaches by each company in utilising Instagram for their sustainability campaigns. Pertamina adopts straightforward communication techniques to elucidate its CSR initiatives, while Petronas employs storytelling to link business activities with societal issues. These insights could influence the digital communication strategies of other firms in CSR efforts. The study suggests that cultural relevance and societal significance can enhance stakeholder involvement on Instagram. It concludes that proficient digital strategic communications can mould public perceptions of a business's commitment to sustainability.

Abstract

Media sosial memainkan peran penting dalam penyebaran pesan dakwah dan kampanye lingkungan, tetapi efektivitas penyampaiannya sering kali terbatas oleh rendahnya keterlibatan audiens. Seiring dengan perkembangan komunikasi digital, optimalisasi strategi penyampaian konten menjadi sangat penting untuk memastikan interaksi yang bermakna dengan audiens. Penelitian ini mengusulkan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen untuk meningkatkan strategi penyampaian konten dakwah digital berbasis lingkungan melalui IndoBERT, sebuah model pemrosesan bahasa alami canggih untuk bahasa Indonesia. Data dikumpulkan dari unggahan media sosial terkait dakwah lingkungan, yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan pemodelan topik dan analisis sentimen berbasis IndoBERT untuk memahami pola keterlibatan audiens serta efektivitas konten. Dengan memanfaatkan wawasan yang diperoleh dari analisis ini, konten disempurnakan dan disesuaikan agar selaras dengan sentimen audiens serta minat topikal mereka. Setelah proses optimasi, konten yang telah disesuaikan menunjukkan peningkatan keterlibatan sebesar 24,7%, yang menyoroti potensi pendekatan berbasis kecerdasan buatan dalam meningkatkan jangkauan digital. Hasil penelitian ini berkontribusi terhadap pengembangan strategi dakwah digital berbasis kecerdasan buatan serta memberikan wawasan berharga untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan media sosial dalam diskursus keagamaan dan lingkungan. Selain itu, penelitian ini mendukung upaya yang lebih luas dalam pelestarian lingkungan di Indonesia dengan meningkatkan dampak konten dakwah terhadap kesadaran publik dan perubahan perilaku.

Abstract

This study aims to find out about the education marketing strategy carried out by the Al-Amlaul Khair Islamic Junior High School, as well as the factors that influence the education marketing strategy at the Al-Amlaul Khair Islamic Junior High School. This research method is in the form of qualitative descriptive, data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The key informant in this study was the principal, and the supporting informants were educators, education staff, students, and the community around the Al-Amlaul Khair Islamic Junior High School. The results of this study indicate that the Al-Amlaul Khair Islamic Junior High School has implemented a fairly good educational marketing strategy, several programs and services are offered and can attract public interest and taste, the promotional activities carried out by the school are quite good and a special team has been formed to promote education. Promotional activities carried out by schools include placing banners, distributing brochures, placing advertisements, and outreach to other schools. There is something unique about the promotion at Al-Amlaul Khair Islamic Junior High School, namely "picking up the ball", in which the school gives a brochure to each student and students distribute it to their respective addresses, if the student succeeds in bringing in a new student, the student will be given a prize. from school.
