Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of critical thinking skills and participation in extracurricular activities on students problem-solving ability at SMK Negeri 40 Jakarta. The research employed a quantitative method with a survey approach. The sample consisted of 72 respondents selected through non-probability sampling using the saturated sampling technique. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that critical thinking skills and participation in extracurricular activities simultaneously have a significant effect on students problem-solving ability, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 58.7%. Partially, critical thinking skills significantly influence problem-solving ability, especially in the indicator of building basic skills. Participation in extracurricular activities also shows a significant influence, with mental engagement being the most dominant indicator. These findings support the theory that adequate critical thinking skills and consistent participation in extracurricular activities can enhance students ability to solve problems.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning media called "kantAR" and measure its feasibility level for the subject of Automation of Office Facilities and Infrastructure Management at SMKN 48 Jakarta. The background of this study is the existence of problems in the learning process, such as monotonous media and students' difficulties in visualizing abstract office equipment in textbooks. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) by adopting the 4D model consisting of the Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. The results of the study showed that the "kantAR" learning media obtained an average feasibility percentage of 89.5% from material experts and media experts, which is included in the "very feasible" category. Furthermore, the results of the trial on students in the one-to-one evaluation stage obtained a score of 99% and the small group evaluation stage obtained a score of 91%, both of which showed the "very practical" category. Thus, it is concluded that the AR media "kantAR" is very feasible and practical to be implemented as an innovative and interactive learning solution to improve student understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of social media addiction (X) on academic procrastination (Y) with self-regulated learning (Z) as a mediating variable among students of Public Vocational High School (SMKN) 1 Bogor. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population consisted of 206 students in X and XI grade. The sample of 134 students was selected using the Isaac and Michael formula through proportional stratified random sampling. Data were analyzed using SmartPLS 4.1 with the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM–PLS) technique, which includes analysis of the measurement model (outer model), structural model (inner model), and hypothesis testing. The results of the study indicate that (1) social media addiction positively influences academic procrastination, (2) social media addiction negatively influences self-regulated learning, (3) self-regulated learning negatively influences academic procrastination, and (4) there is an indirect effect of social media addiction on academic procrastination through self-regulated learning as a mediating variable.
