Abstract

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has opened new opportunities in early childhood education, particularly in enhancing English language learning. This study aims to analyze the role of AI-based chatbots in increasing student engagement and learning outcomes in English for early childhood learners at RA Labschool IIQ Jakarta. Employing a mixed-methods design, the research integrates a quasi-experimental quantitative approach and descriptive qualitative techniques. Quantitative data were analyzed using Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) and post-hoc Least Significant Difference (LSD) tests, while qualitative data were examined through thematic analysis and triangulation. The results revealed that the experimental group using AI chatbots demonstrated significantly higher engagement and English learning achievements compared to the control groups, with F(2,26) = 65.14, p = 0.021, ƞ² = 0.95. Furthermore, qualitative findings indicated increased student motivation, interest, and interaction during learning activities. This study concludes that AI chatbots significantly contribute to fostering cognitive, emotional, and behavioral engagement, thereby improving learning outcomes. The findings imply that integrating AI-based technologies within early childhood curricula can enhance personalized, interactive, and adaptive learning experiences, while maintaining the crucial role of educators as facilitators.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana konsep pendidikan karakteranak menurut Dr. Sa’īd bin ‘Alī bin Wahf Al-Qaḥṭhānī dalam kitab Al-Hadyu Al-Nabawi fīTarbiyah Al-Aulād fī Ḍhau` Al-Kitāb wa Al-Sunnah. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitianLibrary Research, yaitu penelitian kepustakaan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan Teknikdekumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan metode deskriptif analitik dengan teknik analisa isi(content analysis). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Konsep Pendidikan Karakter Anakdalam Kitab Al-Hadyu Al-Nabawi fī Tarbiyah Al-Aulād fī Ḍhau` Al-Qur`an wa Al-Sunnahkarya Dr. Sa’īd bin ‘Alī bin Wahf Al-Qaḥṭhānī yakni difokuskan untuk orangtua dalammemberikan pendidikan karakter anak melalui 7 pembahasan yaitu: 1) pengajaran ilmusyariat, 2) pendidikan pengembangan akal, 3) pendidikan pembiasaan berakhlak mulia, 4).pendidikan dengan sikap bijak dan lemah lembut terhadap anak, 5) pendidikan dengan kasihsayang, 6) menyertai anak setelah baligh, 7) mengajari anak dalam memilih lingkungan danteman yang baik.

Abstract

Kegiatan pelatihan keuangan usaha kelompok pengolahan ikan di Kelurahan Tengah Kota Jambi sebagai upaya peningkatan kemampuan menghitung uang masuk dan uang keluar menggunakan buku kas harian bagi pelaku pengolahan kerupuk ikan. Pelatihan keuangan usaha dibuat sesuai dengan kebutuhan kelompok pengolahan ikan dengan pendekatan praktik menghitung keuangan secara manual dengan menggunakan buku kas harian yaitu mencatat keuangan harian yang terdiri dari keterangan, debet, kredit dan saldo. Melalui kegiatan pelatihan kelompok pengolahan ikan mendapatkan keterampilan pengelolaan keuangan usaha yang dijalankannya. Selain menghasilkan sistem pencatatan keuangan yang lebih tertata, kegiatan pelatihan ini juga dapat memberikan solusi yang efektif untuk keberlanjutan usaha pengolahan ikan kedepannya.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low writing skills of fifth-grade students at SDN 001 Pagaran Tapah Darussalam. The purpose of this study was to improve students’ ability to write personal experiences through the assignment method, implemented over a period of one month. The subjects were 33 fifth-grade students at SDN 001 Pagaran Tapah Darussalam, consisting of 15 boys and 18 girls. The form of research used was classroom action research. The research instruments included teacher and student activity observation sheets and performance-based assessment tools. Based on the findings, it was revealed that the assignment method can improve the writing skills of fifth-grade students at SDN 001 Pagaran Tapah Darussalam. This is evident from: (a) an increase in teacher activity, which rose from 74.3% (Good) in the first cycle to 82.9% (Very Good) in the second cycle; and an increase in student activity, which rose from 71.1% (Good) in the first cycle to 75.8% (Good) in the second cycle; and (b) improved learning outcomes, shown by an increase in the average basic score from 64.4 to 70.9 in the first cycle, and further increasing to an average score of 85 in the second cycle.

Abstract

Abstrak Teater tari merupakan perkembangan dari seni tradisi yang menjadi perhatian akademisi untuk dianalisis, digali, bahkan dielaborasi dengan seni lainnya, sehingga menjadi satu kemasan pertunjukan yang disebut sebagai seni kontemporer. Kesamaan budaya Indonesia dengan Malaysia dalam teater tari tradisional sudah dikenal di masing-masing negara, bahkan sering menjadi bahan kajian. Pada kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat ini, UNJ mengajak berkolaborasi karya yang akan dipentaskan masyarakat Malaysia dalam hal ini mahasiswa UiTM. Proses dari kolaborasi ini akan menjadi media diplomasi budaya untuk bersama-sama saling mengenalkan, memahami, dan mempelajari nilai-nilai budaya di kedua negara. Kegiatan akan dilakukan dalam bentuk workshop yang dilakukan secara daring dan luring. Dimulai dari perencanaan melalui brainstorming dan penggalian ide melalui identifikasi keunikan teater tari MakYong dan Lenong, 2) penyusunan naskah dramatik teater tari yang akan dikolaborasikan, 3) Latihan bersama, evaluasi atau forming, 4) Pementasan. Metode eksplorasi, improvisasi, dan forming dilakukan untuk mendapatkan karya teater tari, dengan responden sebagai penari mahasiwa dari UiTM. Hasil dari karya tersebut diharapkan dapat menjadi bahan ajar diantara kedua negara di masing-masing prodi, serta dapat mengembangkan kerja sama di bidang lainnya antar dua negara. Keterukuran dari keberhasilan kegiatan ini dilakukan melalui testimoni ke dalam bentuk kuesioner kepada mitra, dengan indikator berupa kepuasan, kekurangan, saran, dan tindak lanjut. Abstract Dance theater is a development of traditional arts that has attracted the attention of academics to be analyzed, explored, and even elaborated with other art forms, resulting in a performance package referred to as contemporary art. The cultural similarities between Indonesia and Malaysia in traditional dance theater are already well known in each country and are often the subject of academic study. In this Community Service activity, UNJ invited collaboration with works to be performed by the Malaysian community, in this case, students of UiTM. The process of this collaboration will serve as a medium of cultural diplomacy to introduce, understand, and learn the cultural values of both countries. The activity will be carried out in the form of workshops, both online and offline. It begins with planning through brainstorming and idea exploration by identifying the uniqueness of MakYong and Lenong dance theater; 2) preparation of a dramatic script for the collaborative performance; 3) joint rehearsals, evaluation or forming; and 4) staging. Exploration, improvisation, and forming methods were used to produce the dance theater work, with students from UiTM serving as the performers. The results of this work are expected to become teaching material in both countries’ respective study programs and foster further cooperation in other fields between the two nations. The success of this activity is measured through partner testimonials in the form of questionnaires, with indicators including satisfaction, shortcomings, suggestions, and follow-up actions.

Abstract

Early childhood education plays a crucial role in supporting optimal child development, particularly at the age of 5–6, a period of rapid development in various aspects. The learning process in early childhood education needs to be accompanied by evaluations that are in line with the characteristics of child development, one of which is through authentic assessment. This study aims to describe the implementation of authentic assessment as a learning evaluation tool for early childhood aged 5–6 at RA Zahratul Hayah, Binjai City, and to examine the benefits and constraints in its implementation. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. The research subjects are teachers who teach children aged 5–6, while the research object is the implementation of authentic assessment in learning activities. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation and interviews, then analyzed descriptively qualitatively with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that authentic assessment has been implemented in an integrated manner in the learning process through play activities and daily thematic activities. The forms of authentic assessment used include observation, anecdotal notes, portfolios, and assessment of children's work. Authentic assessment provides a holistic picture of child development and assists teachers in planning learning tailored to their needs. Despite challenges related to time and administrative constraints, teachers make various adjustments to ensure the assessment remains effective. Thus, authentic assessment has proven to be a crucial learning evaluation tool in supporting optimal early childhood development.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Tuberkulosis (TBC) merupakan penyakit infeksius yang disebabkan oleh kuman Mycobacterium tuberculosis yang menyerang parenkim paru. Data laporan Puskesmas pada tahun 2020-2021 Palu Barat merupakan Kecamatan dengan kasus TBC Paru tertinggi dengan penemuan sebanyak 302 kasus. Angka kesembuhan tertinggi ditemukan di Puskesmas Kamonji yaitu sebanyak 82 pasien dari total keseluruhan 95 pasien yang berobat, 36 dari total 47 pasien di Puskesmas Sangurara, 7 dari total 26 pasien di Puskesmas Tipo, dan 8 dari total 18 pasien yang sembuh di Puskesmas Nosarara. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kesembuhan tuberkulosis (TBC) Paru di Kecamatan Palu Barat. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Hasil: Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan antara riwayat pengobatan pasien (p=0,000), komplikasi penyakit (p=0,002), peran PMO (p=0,023) dan tidak ada hubungan antara tingkat pendapatan keluarga (p=0,326), dan peran petugas kesehatan (p=0,098) dengan kesembuhan penyakit tuberkulosis (TBC) paru di Kecamatan Palu Barat. Saran: Disarankan kepada petugas kesehatan untuk bisa lebih tegas kepada pasien maupun PMO agar dapat melaksanakan pengobatan dengan lebih disiplin sehingga angka kesembuhan TBC Paru dapat meningkat.
