Abstract

This study aims to describe the errors of introverted and extroverted students and the causes of their errors based on Newman's criteria in solving linear programming problems. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. There are 4 research subjects, namely 2 students with an introverted personality type and 2 students with an extroverted personality type. The research consisted of 2 students with an introverted personality type and 2 students with an extroverted personality type. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires, test questions, and interviews. The instruments used in data collection were personality type questionnaires, linear program material tests and interview guidelines. Data analysis techniques include data condensation, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that introverted students transformation error, process skills error and enconding error. Meanwhile, extroverted students make are reading error, comprehension error, transformation error, process skills error and enconding error. The causes of introverted students' errors based on the Newman procedure are wrong habits that are not corrected by the teacher, the principle of students not writing down non-negative constraints, feeling pressured because they are limited by time in doing questions. While the causes of extroverted students' errors are extroverted students who tend to be in a hurry in solving problems, cannot connect information to questions, do not master the prerequisite material and do not re-check the results of their answers.

Abstract

Learning mathematics during the pandemic has many challenges such as internet constraints, be it network quality or limited internet quota owned by students or students. This research uses a sequential explanatory design to investigate the effectiveness of the combined use of WhatApp (WA) and Google Classroom (GC) in learning mathematics, especially in the Elementary Algebra course. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling and the selected class was class A which is one of the classes from one of the universities in South Sulawesi. Related to qualitative data, surveys and interviews were conducted to find out how students respond to the implementation of the use of the two applications and why the use of the two applications is effective / ineffective in mathematics learning. The results showed that the mean of the class scores is 80.12 with a standard deviation of 1.85. Based on inferential analysis, combination of WA and GC in learning mathematics in the Elementary Algebra course was effective. In addition, most students gave positive responses. Based on students' perspectives, the ease of access, features of both applications and ease of use are the reasons for the success of mathematics learning using WA and GC.

Abstract

Digital transformation has brought artificial intelligence (AI) into various sectors, including education. In this context, teachers are expected not only to understand the teaching content but also to utilize technology in a critical and contextual manner. This community service activity was carried out in collaboration with Economics teachers who are members of the MGMP (Subject Teacher Forum) across South Sulawesi, aiming to explore the integration of AI in education. Using an Action Research (AR) approach, the program included basic AI concept training, prompt development workshops, and hands-on practice in creating AI-assisted teaching materials. The teachers actively engaged in designing learning content using tools such as ChatGPT, Notion AI, and Canva AI. Reflection and group discussions were integral parts of the collaborative learning process. The results show that the teachers were able to utilize AI technology in a contextual and creative way when developing instructional materials, and they demonstrated readiness to face the evolving landscape of educational technology.

Abstract

The digital competency strengthening program for teachers at SMAN 2 Barru focused on kecerdasan artifisial (KA) and augmented reality (AR) literacy to support inclusive entrepreneurship innovation. This activity was conducted to overcome limitations in the use of the latest technology among teachers, which previously hindered the development of research-based entrepreneurial products. The training methods used included introductory sessions, hands-on practice, and mentoring on the implementation of KA and AR technologies. The results of this program showed a significant improvement in the digital competency of the teachers, with the average pre-test score increasing from 73% to 80% after the training. In addition to improving technical skills, the training also strengthened teachers' confidence in utilizing KA and AR technology in the learning process and entrepreneurship development. However, limited infrastructure and external support remain challenges that need to be overcome to optimize the utilization of digital technology in schools. Recommendations are given to strengthen technology support and ongoing mentoring programs to improve the sustainability of technology implementation in learning and entrepreneurship activities.

The study population included all ninth grade students at SMPN 1 Telagasari. The sampling used simple random sampling technique to obtain a sample of 38 students from class IX H. The research was conducted in one meeting, where the research instruments in the form of mathematical literacy tests and problem solving tests were distributed to all students in the sample class. The data collection technique was carried out through giving written tests which were arranged based on the ability indicators of each variable. Data analysis using covariance analysis technique showed that mathematical literacy ability has an influence of 19.4% on students problem solving ability. This finding shows the importance of mathematical literacy in supporting students problem solving skills.

Abstract

This research is a literature study that aims to explain the usefulness of the features of the Merdeka Mengajar Platform to develop teacher competencies. The data sources of this research were obtained from the Merdeka Mengajar Platform and research articles in journals. The analysis used in this research was content analysis, which began with data making, then continued with abductively inferring contextual phenomena, and ended with narrating the answer to the research question. The government launched the Merdeka Mengajar (PMM) platform to assist teachers in developing their competence. This platform allows teachers to carry out self-development anywhere and anytime. The features owned by PMM can help develop the four competencies teachers have. Personal competence and social competence can be developed in the Community Features and Real Action in Self-Training. Pedagogical competence can be developed through the curriculum introduction feature, student assessment, teaching tools, self-training, inspirational videos, and proof of work. Finally, professional competence can be developed through student assessment, teaching tools, and self-training features.
