Abstract

Background & Objective: Emesis gravidarum is experienced by 50–80% of pregnant women in the first trimester and can develop into hyperemesis gravidarum if not treated properly. This condition carries the risk of dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, and fetal growth restriction. Ginger (Zingiber officinale) contains gingerol and shogaol, which have been proven to have antiemetic effects and are widely used as complementary therapy. To determine the effect of ginger candy on the degree of emesis gravidarum in pregnant women in their first trimester in the working area of the Kedung Banteng Community Health Center in Tegal Regency. Method: A pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest. The sample consisted of 20 pregnant women in their first trimester who experienced nausea and vomiting. The instrument used was the PUQE-24. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk test and paired t-test. Result: Before the intervention, the average PUQE score was 9.20; after the intervention, it decreased to 7.00. The paired t-test results showed p=0.012, which means that there was a significant effect of ginger candy on the reduction of emesis gravidarum. Conclusion: Ginger candy is effective in reducing the severity of emesis gravidarum in first trimester pregnant women.

Abstract

Gamifikasi merupakan perangkat pembelajaran di abad 21 yang menerapkan dan memanfaatkan elemen-elemen game dalam proses pembelajaran. Mengaplikasikan model hybrid learning berbasis gamifikasi dalam proses pembelajaran menghadirkan pengalaman bagi peserta didik untuk bisa merasakan proses belajar yang menyenangkan. Saat ini, model ini semakin banyak dilirik untuk terus dikembangkan. Oleh karena itu, peneliti memiliki ketertarikan untuk mengetahui lebih dalam terkait dengan eksistensi model pembelajaran gamification dikalangan mahasiswa khususnya dalam lingkup Universitas Negeri Makassar. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain expost de facto. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam bentuk angket (kuesioner) yang disebarluaskan kepada responden melalui forum online google form. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar kuesioner. Jumlah responden pada penelitian ini adalah 97 orang yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling dengan pertimbangan mahasiswa yang telah mempelajari mata kuliah Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak. Seluruh data yang diperoleh dari penyebaran angket dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk menjelaskan hasil dari penelitian yang dilakukan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model hybrid learning berbasis gamifikasi memiliki eksistensi yang baik di kalangan mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Makassar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantatif pra-eksperimental yang menggunakan desain one-shot case study. Studi ini menguji efektivitas pemanfaatan pembelajaran bauran dalam pembelajaran matematika pada mata kuliah Trigonometri. Peneliti melakukan penelitian di salah satu universitas di Sulawesi Barat, dan kelas yang dipilih sebagai sampel penelitian adalah salah satu kelas yang terdiri dari 28 mahasiswa prodi Pendidikan Matematika yang memprogram mata kuliah Trigonometri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar mahasiswa adalah 74.07 dengan standar deviasi 8.44. Persentase mahasiswa yang mendapat nilai di atas 65 adalah 89.29%. Berdasarkan persentase mahasiswa yang mendapat nilai di atas 65 dan hasil analisis menggunakan uji t satu sampel, maka pemanfaatan pembelajaran bauran dalam pembelajaran matematika pada mata kuliah Trigonometri dikatakan efektif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesalahan apa saja yang terjadi saat mahasiswa memanfaatkan SPSS, baik itu dalam menganalisis data mau menginterpretasikan hasil analisis data mereka. Penelitian ini melibatkan 30 mahasiswa fakultas keguruan dan ilmu pendidikan di salah satu universitas di Sulawesi Barat. Penelitian dilaksanakan dari bulan September 2022 sampai bulan Desember 2023. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara semi terstruktur, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilaksanakan melalui tiga tahap, yaitu kondensasi data, tampilan data, dan verikasi serta pengambilan Keputusan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga kategori kesalahan yang terdeteksi saat mahasiswa menggunakan SPSS, yaitu kesalahan dalam menetapkan kriteria pengambilan keputusan, kesalahan interpretasi dan membaca hasil analisis data, dan kesalahan prosedur. Banyak dari kesalahan yang ditemukan disebabkan oleh kurangnya pengetahuan mahasiswa mengenai konsep dasar statistika.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi dibidang Pendidikan terus mengalami disrupsi setiap tahunnya, salah satu contohnya penggunaan Massive Open Online Course (MOOCs). Namun rendahnya tingkat penyelesaian pengguna menimbulkan tantangan bagi pengembangan pendidikan dan platform MOOCs. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur tingkat keberlanjutan mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Makassar untuk menggunakan MOOCs dengan memanfaatkan Teori Penerimaan Model Teknologi (TAM) dan Teori Teknologi Kesesuaian Tugas (TTF). Penelitian ini mengadopsi pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain longitudinal. Data diperoleh melalui penggunaan lembar kuesioner atau angket, yang diisi oleh 81 responden. Dalam proses analisis data, penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif, termasuk perhitungan rata-rata, median, modus, jumlah, nilai maksimum, dan nilai minimum.. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa UNM memiliki pandangan positif terhadap MOOCs, mencerminkan tingkat keberlanjutan yang tinggi di kalangan mereka.Dengan begitu, penelitian ini tidak hanya memberi pengetahuan baru tentang bagaimana aspek TAM dan TTF berpengaruh dalam tingkat keberlanjutan mahasiswa dalam menggunakan MOOCs tapi juga memberi perspektif baru bagi penyedia platform MOOCs untuk terus mengembangkan kualitas platform mereka.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar–Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) curriculum in the Arabic Language Education Program at Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten. The MBKM policy, introduced by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of Indonesia, aims to strengthen graduate employability and institutional adaptability in the digital era. A qualitative case study design was employed. Participants were selected using purposive sampling targeting key academic stakeholders, followed by snowball sampling to identify additional informants. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, non-participant observations, and document analysis, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model. Trustworthiness was ensured through triangulation and member checking. The findings reveal five core implementation strategies: leadership commitment, stakeholder engagement, MBKM-oriented curriculum redesign, external partnerships, and internal quality assurance. The process unfolded in three phases: planning, execution, and monitoring. The study demonstrates that coherent governance and collaborative networks are critical enablers of MBKM adoption. These findings provide practical insights for Islamic higher education institutions implementing reforms based on outcome-based and experiential learning.

Abstract

This study evaluates the implementation of the Teaching Factory (TeFa) program in vocational high schools (SMK) in Sleman Regency using the CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, Product). The research employed a descriptive-evaluative approach with 175 student respondents, supported by teacher input and school documents. Findings show that the curriculum has been aligned with industry needs through synchronization with partners, though limited facilities, regulations, and accessibility remain obstacles. Teachers are relatively well-prepared, most having completed industrial internships, and industry partners provide positive responses, yet disparities in infrastructure between schools are evident. The process is carried out through project-based learning with cross-major collaboration, offering realistic experiences but constrained by insufficient resources and non-standardized evaluation. In terms of outcomes, students generally display high motivation, discipline, responsibility, and technical skills, though independence and innovation remain weak. Overall, TeFa in Sleman has been on the right track to realize link and match between vocational education and industry, but improvements in facilities, evaluation standards, and innovation culture are still required Keywords: Teaching Factory, CIPP evaluation, vocational education, link and matc

Abstract

Purpose – The growing integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in higher education has reshaped students’ cognitive and emotional learning experiences. From a life-course education perspective, higher education represents a critical phase of early adulthood in which interactions with AI may influence emotional regulation and readiness for lifelong learning. However, empirical studies examining the affective consequences of AI use through technology acceptance and trust mechanisms remain limited. This study investigates how AI usage frequency, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and trust in AI influence university students’ emotional well-being.Design/methods/approach – A quantitative cross-sectional survey was administered to university students who actively used AI to support their learning activities. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to examine the direct effects of technology acceptance factors and trust in AI on emotional well-being.Findings – The results indicate that AI usage frequency and trust in AI have significant positive effects on students’ emotional well-being. In contrast, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use do not directly influence emotional well-being. These findings suggest that affective benefits of AI-supported learning are shaped more by familiarity and psychological trust than by technical efficiency alone.Research implications/limitations – The cross-sectional design, reliance on self-reported measures, and single-institution sample limit causal interpretation and generalizability. Future studies are encouraged to adopt longitudinal or mixed-method approaches to capture emotional dynamics across educational stages.Originality/value – This study extends the Technology Acceptance Model by positioning emotional well-being as a key outcome within a life-course framework, offering insights into how AI interaction during early adulthood may support psychological sustainability and lifelong learning readiness

Abstract

The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has transformed academic practices, particularly in supporting the development of students’ academic writing. However, empirical evidence explaining how AI utilization, automatic feedback, and personalized learning contribute to writing performance in higher education remains limited. This study examines the effects of AI utilization, AI-based automatic feedback, and AI-driven personalized learning on Students’ Academic Writing Skills (SAWS). Using an explanatory quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, data were collected from 88 Indonesian university students through purposive sampling. Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was employed to evaluate the measurement and structural models. The findings show that Automatic Feedback Based on AI (AFBAI) is the strongest predictor of SAWS (β = 0.531; p = 0.000). The Utilization of AI Technology (UAIT) also has a significant positive effect (β = 0.290; p = 0.007), indicating that frequent use of AI tools contributes to improved writing skills. Conversely, Personalized Learning Based on AI (PLBAI) has no significant direct effect (β = 0.053; p = 0.350). The structural model demonstrates substantial predictive power with an R² value of 0.660. AI technologies play an essential role in enhancing academic writing performance, especially through automated feedback and consistent utilization. However, AI-driven personalized learning systems still require further optimization and deeper user engagement to meaningfully support the development of complex writing competencies.

Abstract

This study investigates how AI ethics, ChatGPT usage habits, and memory loss influence learning motivation and learning performance in higher education. The research addresses growing concerns about cognitive and ethical implications of AI tool usage among students, especially in relation to motivation decline and learning outcomes. Although previous studies highlight the benefits of AI tools in enhancing learning, few have explored the negative cognitive and ethical consequences of overuse. This paper fills the gap by examining how learning motivation mediates the relationship between AI-related factors and learning performance through the lens of Self-Determination Theory (SDT). A quantitative, cross-sectional design was employed using purposive sampling. A total of 539 university students who have experience using ChatGPT in academic contexts participated by completing an online questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). This study contributes to the literature by integrating AI ethics, usage patterns, and cognitive outcomes into a unified model of academic motivation and performance. It extends Self-Determination Theory into AI-assisted learning environments and emphasizes learning motivation as a psychological bridge linking ethical and cognitive concerns to learning success. AI ethics, ChatGPT usage habits, and memory loss each have a significant im-pact on both learning motivation and learning performance. Learning motiva-tion serves as a mediating variable in the relationship between all three predic-tors and academic outcomes. Among the predictors, ChatGPT usage habits emerged as the strongest positive influence, whereas memory loss exhibited the most pronounced negative effect. Ethical concerns demonstrated a modest yet statistically significant positive effect, particularly when internalized as responsi-ble academic conduct. Future research should explore longitudinal effects of AI tool use on motivation and cognition, test other theoretical frameworks such as TAM or Cognitive Load Theory, and examine new variables like AI literacy, digital well-being, and academic resilience.
