Abstract

Cost production in the education is the important. Education Quality influence by performance in personal and facility. The good personal and facility is affecting cost production (education). Height quality education consumption cost produced is more expensive. To cost education can be minimization. with the analyses cost production (education) example calculated overhead, cost operational and etc. Level of this education fare can be applied by paying attention ability of consumer so those process studies stand at bay with quality of good education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat sejauh mana program tersebut telah berhasil mencapai maksud pelaksanaan program yang telah ditetapkan sebelumnya. Evaluasi pelaksanaan praktik kerja industri pada kompetensi keahlian Teknika Kapal Penangkap Ikan di SMK Negeri 3 Kota Pariaman tersebut dilihat dari aspek antecedents, transaction dan outcomes. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian mixed methods (kombinasi) dimana penelitian ini menggabungkan penelitian Kuantitatif dengan penelitian Kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa praktik kerja industri di SMK Negeri 3 Kota Pariaman jika ditinjau dari segi komponen antecedents indikator kesiapan peserta didik dalam menghadapi prakerin termasuk kategori sangat baik, kinerja guru mata pelajaran produktif termasuk dalam kategori baik, dan kesiapan sarana dan prasarana termasuk dalam kategori baik. Komponen transaction, indikator kinerja peserta didik selama pelaksanaan prakerin termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik, dan kinerja pembimbing prakerin dalam pelaksanaan prakerin termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Komponen outcomes indikator kesiapan kerja peserta didik setelah pelaksanaan prakerin termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Serta penggunaan aplikasi software Atlas.ti sangat membantu peneliti dalam mengolah hasil wawancara, dikarenakan tool yang disuguhkan lewat software memudahkan dalam melihat dan meninjau kembali hasil wawancara yang sudah dilakukan oleh interviewer.

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to design a web-based machine learning model that can predict the mechanical properties of aluminum based on its chemical composition. By inputting nine variables of chemical elements such as Al, Mg, Zn, Ti, Cu, Mn, Cr, Fe, and Si, the model is able to provide predictions for two output data, Yield Strength (YS) and Tensile Strength (TS). The research aims to understand the relationship between chemical composition and mechanical properties of aluminum, and to develop a tool that can be used to predict these properties with a high level of accuracy. Overall, the goal of this study is to enhance the understanding of the properties of aluminum and how it can be utilized in various applications. This study designs a web-based machine learning modeling to predict the mechanical properties of aluminum in the percentage of chemical composition, where the input data in the modeling consists of 9 variables of chemical elements such as Al, Mg, Zn, Ti, Cu, Mn, Cr, Fe, Si, and has 2 output data consisting of Yield Strength (YS) and Tensile Strength (TS). The modeling machine learning is designed using the Python programming language and additional libraries such as Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-learn, and Streamlit. The modeling in this study uses three algorithms consisting of Decision Trees (DT), Random Forest (RF), and Artificial Neural Network (ANN). Each algorithm is optimized with the best search parameters, and where the RF algorithm has better performance than DT and JST. The best modeling uses the RF algorithm with optimal parameters of number of trees at 20 and maximum depth of 10, with MAE values of 11.44, RMSE of 14.282, and R of 0.93 for Yield Strength (YS) predictions, and for Tensile Strength (TS) predictions, MAE values are obtained. 21,669, RMSE 27,301, and R 0.871.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the performance of hydrokinetic turbines under yaw misalignment conditions using descriptive statistical methods on coefficient of power (Cp) data. Tests were conducted at water velocities of 0.7, 0.9, and 1.1 m/s for three types of turbine shrouds consisting of turbines without shrouds, turbines with two different types of shrouds, at yaw angles from 0° to 25° with 5° intervals. The study concludes that the performance of each turbine type is significantly influenced by the combination of water flow velocity and yaw angle. The diffuser type has the highest Cp value at every yaw angle, but its performance decreases with increasing yaw angle. The Blade type has poorer performance compared to the diffuser at every yaw angle and has the best performance at a combination of 1.1 m/s velocity and 5° yaw angle. Meanwhile, the shroud type has more stable performance and is not greatly affected by variations in velocity and yaw angle. Based on the analysis of changes in average Cp values with changes in yaw angle at V 0.7 m/s, all three turbine types experienced an increase in Cp value at a yaw angle of 5, with the shroud experiencing the most significant increase. At V 0.9 m/s, the diffuser and shroud types were able to maintain their average Cp values at every yaw angle, while the blade type decreased with increasing yaw angle and experienced a significant decrease at a yaw angle of 25. At V 1.1 m/s, the diffuser and blade types experienced a decrease in performance with every increase in yaw angle, but the shroud type was able to maintain the same Cp value and even experienced a significant increase at a yaw angle of 5.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the level of importance of digital literacy understanding among students of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Muhammadiyah (UM) Sumatera Barat. The digital literacy developed in this study not only facilitates access to learning references, literature, research methodologies, and testing in the field of Mechanical Engineering but also designed as a data storage place for student practical and research testing results. This research used a questionnaire as a data collection technique, which was filled out by Mechanical Engineering students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Barat. The first questionnaire was conducted to measure the level of students' understanding of digital literacy in the field of Mechanical Engineering, and the results were used as the basis for creating a literacy website. The second questionnaire was conducted to evaluate the created literacy website. Data analysis was performed using quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that 57% of respondents had good understanding of digital literacy in the field of Mechanical Engineering. However, only 15% of respondents often searched for references on digital technology, and 80% of respondents faced difficulties in finding credible digital literacy sources. Moreover, most respondents expressed their interest in learning and using digital technology in research and practical work. These results served as the basis for creating a digital literacy website. The digital literacy website was evaluated, and the evaluation result showed that most respondents stated that the created literacy website was easy to use and helpful in the learning or task completion process. However, some aspects needed improvement, such as relevant and understandable content and the quality of content presentation that is more interesting for respondents. Overall, the literacy website has a high level of satisfaction in several aspects.

Abstract

Implementation of the developed Learning Implementation Plan (LIP) will result in the risk of learning not being in line with expectations if the validity of the product is not guaranteed. Thus, this research aims to investigate the validity of developing project-based lesson plans to improve effective learning outcomes. This research is research and development with a quantitative approach using the ADDIE model procedure. To obtain product validity results, the stages used are only in the development phase. The subjects in this research were 2 expert lecturers and 3 productive teachers with expertise in light vehicle engineering, and the instrument used was a feasibility questionnaire. The findings were that the project-based LIP that was developed had an average score of 88.7% in the valid category. This study concludes that it has succeeded in developing a product in the form of a valid and usable project-based lesson plan. Carrying out learning using lesson plans that are integrated with project-based learning can be an alternative to providing more meaningful learning and have a positive impact on student development.

Abstract

Keberhasilan belajar di perguruan tinggi pada dasarnya lebih banyak tergantung pada usaha mahasiswa dalam penyesuaian dirinya. Observasi yang dilaksanakan di Department Teknik Mesin FT UNP. Peneliti menemukan permasalahan mahasiswa dalam memahami materi perkuliahan dimana yang didasari oleh perbedaan latar belakang sekolah. Peneliti melihat bahwa mahasiswa yang berlatar belakang dari SMA membutuhkan waktu dalam memahami perkuliahan terutama di bidang Teknik Mesin akan tetapi mahasiswa yang berasal dari SMA lebih mudah memahami perkuliahan yang bersifat teori. Berbanding terbalik dengan mahasiswa lulusan SMK peneliti menemukan bahwa hal yang berkaitan dengan perkuliahan yang berisifat praktik mahasiswa lulusan SMK akan lebih mudah memahaminya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap apakah yang menjadi faktor yang mempengaruhi kesulitan belajar bagi mahasiswa dengan perbedaan latar belakang pendidikan. Kajian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Pada kajian ini sampel penelitian nya yaitu Mahasiswa Teknik Mesin FT UNP dengan Program Studi S1 Pendidikan Teknik Mesin angkatan 2019, 2020 dan 2021 berjumlah 150 mahasiswa. Hasil diperoleh pada penelitian ini terdapat perbedaan kemampuan dalam memahami pembelajaran yang dinilai dari indicator pengetahuan awal, minat bakat, sarana prasarana, lingkungan belajar, dan kinerja dosen. Kesimpulan penelitian ini dilihat dari variabel persepsi didapatkan nilai persentase dari hasil data angket dengan sampel sebanyak 150 pada mahasiswa angkatan 2019,2020,dan 2021 diperoleh nilai tingkat capaian responden dengan kategori yang cukup

Abstract

Menjaga dan meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan adalah tantangan penting. Banyak sistem pendidikan menghadapi masalah seperti kurikulum yang tidak sesuai, kurangnya guru yang berkualitas, dan metode pengajaran yang tidak memadai. Maka, research ini bertujuan mengimplementasikan pembelajaran kaloboratif berbasis projek untuk melihat hasil belajar. Subjek penelitian ini berasal dari SMKN 1 Pariaman sebanyak 64 orang. Metode penelitian dipakai quasi-experimental design. Instrumen research lembar tes, uji kevalidan, realiabel, normality, homogenity, dan independent uji-t. Hasil research ini memperoleh pre-test experimental group bernilai 75 dan post-test experimental group bernilai 82.6, sedangkan perolehan pre-test control group bernilai 72.5 dan post-test control group bernilai 76.4. Hal ini membuktikan perlakuan yang diberikan pembelajaran kaloboratif berbasis PjBL berdampak pada hasil belajar experimental group dibandingkan control group tanpa perlakuan. Adapun hasil pengujian normality didapatkan terdistribusi normal nilai sig>0,05, pengujian homogenitas pada sebelum dan sesudah test dengan besaran nilai signifikansi. > 0,05 varians tersebut homogen, dan hasil indepenten t-test diperoleh sebesar 1.245 dan post-test sebesar 3.587, maka hasil Uji T bernilai 0.001 memiliki ketentuan nilai signifikan. 2-tailed < 0.05. Maka dari itu, simpulan dari sikap berpikir kritis, kreatif, kolaboratif, komunikatif dan bertanggung jawab pada pembelajaran dasar teknik permesinan program studi-Teknik Mekanika-Industri di SMKN 1 Pariaman, dilakukan dengan menggunakan rubrik penilaian sikap dan didapatkan hasil nilai sikap control class 80 dan experiment class 84.

Abstract

Vocational education, as a specialised form of education, is designed to prepare students with practical and theoretical skills in various fields of technical, technological, and business expertise, in accordance with the demands of the labour market. The use of teaching modules in the PDTM class X Machining Engineering subject is not optimal, causing the learning process to be less effective. This study aims to develop a FlipHTML5-based PDTM teaching module at SMK Negeri 2 Banda Aceh, adopting the R&D development model with reference to the 4D model. The steps of the 4D model include definition, design, development, and dissemination. Research data were obtained through a questionnaire validation sheet, and data analysis using quantitative descriptive statistical methods with Aiken's V formula. The results showed that the developed module was feasible as a self-learning media. The validity of material experts reached (∑V) 0.842, and media experts reached (∑V) 0.909, with valid criteria. Based on the validity assessment, this PDTM learning module for class X Machining Engineering can be concluded as a feasible additional learning media for students.

Abstract

Salah satu wilayah di Pasaman Barat yang mayoritas masyarakatnya bertani padi adalah Kenagarian Lingkuang Aur Timur. Para petani padi di Kenagarian Lingkuang Aur Timur masih banyak menghadapi permasalahan-permasalahan dalam penangan padi, terutama pada pasca panen. Dari pemantauan tim pengabdian dan info yang didapatkan dari kelompok tani Boncah Bungo Tanjuang, petani masih kekurangan alat dalam penanganan pada pasca panen, sehingga petani masih banyak melakukan perontokan dengan cara memukulkan padi pada alat yang masih sederhana. Kegiatan yang bersifat konvensional ini menjadikan lambatnya penanganan padi pada pasca penen. Dampak dari keterlambatan penanganan pada pasca panen dapat mengakibatkan susut hasil panen dan menurunnya kualitas gabah. Pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat telah dilaksanakan terhadap masyarakat khalayak sasaran. Dalam pelaksanaan tujuan kegiatan telah tercapai. Dari evalusai yang dilakukan telah terjadi peningkatan pengatahuan masyarakat di Kenagarian Lingkuang Aur Timur untuk memanfaatkan teknologi pada penanganan padi pada pasca panen. Peningkatan nilai ekonomis yang dihasilkan diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat yang ada di Kenagarian Lingkuang Aur Timur.
