Abstract

This quantitative study evaluates the effectiveness of an artificial intelligence-driven adaptive learning system integrated into blended classroom environments across Indonesian secondary schools. The research involved 480 students divided into experimental (n=240) and control (n=240) groups across twelve educational institutions. Students in the experimental group utilized an AI-powered learning platform alongside traditional classroom instruction for one academic semester (16 weeks), while the control group received conventional blended learning without AI integration. Pre- and post-intervention assessments, coupled with weekly learning analytics, were analyzed using independent t-tests, ANCOVA, and effect size calculations. Results demonstrated significant improvements in academic achievement (t(478)=8.42, p<0.001, d=0.77), learning engagement metrics (t(478)=6.95, p<0.001, d=0.64), and adaptive skill development (t(478)=7.23, p<0.001, d=0.66) in the experimental group. Additionally, AI-personalized learning pathways yielded substantial time efficiency gains, reducing average completion time by 23.5% while maintaining higher comprehension levels. These findings substantiate that AI-driven adaptive learning systems represent promising educational innovations that enhance personalization, promote equity in learning experiences, and improve academic outcomes in blended educational settings

Abstract

Increasing genetic diversity of porang through mutation is urgently needed since porang has low genetic diveristy. Therefore, this study aims to increase the genetic diversity of porang using ethyl methanesulfonate (EMS) and analyze the genetic diversity of porang using RAPD markers. Porang explants were subjected to in vitro EMS induction at various concentrations (control, 0.1%, 0.2%, 0.3%, 0.4%, and 0.5%) and evaluated after 35 days. DNA amplification was carried out using 20 RAPD primers. Genetic diversity within and between porang populations was analyzed using POPGENE software, while cluster analysis was performed using PAST software to identify genetic diversity patterns. The results showed that EMS mutation induction effectively increased the genetic diversity of porang. Primers OPA-2 and OPA-9 were identified as the most effective primers for detecting genetic diversity resulting from mutation induction. The 0.2% EMS treatment is recommended because it produced the most notable genetic changes compared to the control and shows potential for generating superior mutants to support porang breeding programs.

Abstract

Abstract

With a focus on the Batam City Government's e-Catalog system quality, human resource competency, and supporting facilities, this study investigates the elements that affect the quality of procurement services in the context of digital public procurement. 93 respondents who were familiar with the e-Catalog system personally took part in a structured survey that collected data using a quantitative explanatory method. The data was assessed using multiple linear regression to examine both partial and simultaneous effects between factors. The findings indicate that while e-Catalog system quality has a positive but statistically insignificant impact, human resource competency has a negative and negligible connection with procurement service quality. Conversely, facilities have a positive and statistically significant influence on service quality and are the most significant factor. With a coefficient of determination of 62.3%, all independent variables simultaneously strongly contribute to the quality of procurement services, demonstrating the model's strong explanatory power. These findings imply that infrastructural preparedness is more important than system complexity or human resource capacity when it comes to local government digital procurement. By emphasizing the significance of matching technology systems with suitable facilities to improve service performance, this study adds to the body of knowledge in public administration. Policymakers should emphasize infrastructure development while continually enhancing system quality and human resource competency, according to the findings.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the need to develop a Problem-Based Learning (PBL)-based mathematics instructional design to improve the mathematical communication skills of eighth-grade junior high school students. The study employed a descriptive approach and involved 31 eighth-grade students and a mathematics teacher at SMPN 2 Jakarta. Data were collected through observation, a mathematical communication skills test, a questionnaire, and interviews. The results of the study indicate that students’ mathematical communication skills remain low, particularly in constructing mathematical models, representing ideas in graphs, and explaining solutions in their own words. The average test score of 20.11 indicates that most students have not yet met the expected proficiency indicators. Furthermore, instruction remains teacher-centered, resulting in students being less active in communicating mathematical ideas. The results of the curriculum and conceptual analysis identified “Equations of Straight Lines” as a suitable topic to be developed through PBL-based instructional design. Thus, the results of this needs analysis serve as the basis for designing an instructional approach capable of facilitating the improvement of students’ mathematical communication skills.
