Abstract

This study aimed to determine the practice of purchasing and selling used cooking oil utilizing a barter system at UD Jelantah Sejahtera and examine the applicable Islamic law. This study employs a qualitative methodology with a deductive approach. There are two types of data sources: primary and secondary. The statistics were gathered through direct interviews with UD Jelantah Sejahtera Karanganyar, an oil collector, and three clients. Secondary data was gathered from many books, journals, and websites. The findings of this study are the barter mechanism or service of exchanging used goods for consumable goods, namely the exchange of used cooking oil products for good oil that is suitable for use in cooking. However, the oil exchanged by UD Jelantah Sejahtera is vegetable oil, such as cooking oil, that is no longer suitable for use and is commonly referred to as waste oil. Trading old cooking oil for fresh packaged cooking oil of varied quantities or volumes is allowed because cooking oil is not an Indonesian staple.

Abstract

This research presents a bibliometric analysis to map the development and direction of research on experiments in decision-making in courts, which focuses on publications indexed in the Scopus database from 1973 to 2024. 1973 was chosen as the start of the period because the first publication was found in that year. Bibliometric analysis methods were used, with data filtered using the Boolean search engine from the Scopus database, and analysis was carried out on June 7, 2024. Tools used for analysis included R, VosViewer, Mendeley, and Microsoft Excel. The results show fluctuations in the number of publications, with the highest peak occurring in 2022-2023 and declining in 2024. Most documents are in the field of Social Sciences, followed by Psychology, Mathematics, and Neuroscience. The United States dominates the most publications, while the main authors who contributed the most include Jones, A., along with several other authors. The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is in the top spot for a number of documents published. Abstract

This activity aims to provide counseling and socialization of MUI Fatwa No. 32 of 2022 concerning sacrifices during an epidemic of mouth and nail disease. This is important to do considering the lack of public information regarding guidelines for the implementation of qurbani from animal selection, quarantine to standardized slaughter according to Islamic law, especially during the outbreak of mouth and nail diseases that attack split-toed/even hoofed animals such as cattle, buffalo, sheep, goats, deer, camels, and includes wild animals such as elephants, antelopes, bison, deer, and giraffes. Community service was carried out at the Al-Hidayah Taklim Council, Ngasem Village, Colomadu District, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java with 50 participants. Prior to the activity, participants were given a pre-test to measure basic understanding of the sacrificial procedure, then a post-test was conducted to measure changes in understanding after technical socialization is carried out. The results of this activity showed an increase in people's understanding of the procedure for sacrificing from elections, quarantine, to slaughtering sacrificial animals and how the MUI fatwa no. 32 of 2022 can be applied as a reference in the implementation of sacrifice in the midst of an outbreak of mouth and nail disease in sacrificial animals.

Abstract

This study aims to provide a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of Islamic Banking Windows (IBWs) and their potential role in advancing sustainable finance. By examining publication trends, influential contributors, and research themes, the study seeks to bridge the gap in understanding how IBWs align with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles and contribute to global sustainability goals. A bibliometric analysis was conducted using data extracted from the Scopus database, focusing on publications related to Islamic Banking Windows. The study employed co-occurrence network analysis, citation metrics, and productivity indicators to map research trends, identify key contributors, and analyze prevalent themes. The analysis reveals a growing interest in IBWs, particularly in Muslim-majority countries like Malaysia and Indonesia, as well as emerging contributions from Western nations. Key themes include efficiency, customer behavior, Shariah governance, and comparative performance between Islamic and conventional banks. However, the integration of sustainable finance principles remains underexplored, highlighting a critical research gap. The study identifies influential journals and authors, with findings suggesting that IBWs have significant potential to promote ethical and sustainable financial practices. This study is among the first to systematically examine the intersection of IBWs and sustainable finance using bibliometric methods. It provides a structured overview of the field’s evolution, influential works, and emerging trends, offering valuable insights for researchers, policymakers, and practitioners seeking to align Islamic finance with global sustainability agendas.
