Abstract

This study explores the application of Islamic economic principles in healthcare, specifically through Islamic hospitals. Employing bibliometric analysis and network visualization techniques, data from the Scopus database revealed 722 articles published between 1973 and 2024 were analyzed. Tools such as Microsoft Excel, R/RStudio, and VOSviewer were used to analyze these documents and visualize a network of keywords that highlight the economic aspects of Islamic hospitals. The findings indicate a steady growth in publications at a rate of 7.03% annually, with 2019 marking the highest number. Iran has emerged as a significant contributor to this body of research, particularly through the Tehran University of Medical Sciences, while the Eastern Mediterranean Health Journal has served as the primary publication outlet. Keyword network analysis uncovered four main clusters: financing models, cost-effectiveness, resource allocation, and ethical considerations in healthcare. This study sheds light on the integration of Islamic economic principles in healthcare settings and lays the groundwork for future research on optimizing economic practices in Islamic hospitals.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the trend and development of scientific literature about Islamic law, ethics, and its worldwide significance, spanning the years 1954 to 2023. The utilization of quantitative and network analysis enables the mapping of alterations in publication patterns, the identification of affiliations and highly productive authors, and the highlighting of journals with substantial influence. The findings indicate a significant increase in the number of published works since 1995, particularly in the early 21st century. Notably, the International Islamic University Malaysia and writers El-Seoudi, A.W.M.M. and Jadalhaq, I.M. have made considerable contributions to this surge. The examination of journals emphasizes the significant influence of "Islamic Law and Society" in the relevant literature. Furthermore, specific works like Ashraf D's publication in the "Journal of Business Ethics" in 2016 demonstrate a considerable impact in the scientific literature. Through a comprehensive examination of publication trends and influential works, the study contributes to a deeper understanding of Islamic law and ethics within academic circles. It underscores the need for interdisciplinary collaboration and engagement with diverse perspectives to grasp the complexities of Islamic jurisprudence and ethical frameworks.  In conclusion, this research provides a valuable resource for scholars, policymakers, and practitioners seeking to navigate the intricate terrain of Islamic law and ethics. By delineating trends, identifying key contributors, and highlighting influential publications, the study offers a nuanced perspective on the evolving discourse surrounding these critical subjects.

Abstract

This study seeks to determine how the Blue Economy is implemented in using organic waste as an alternative feed ingredient and what Islamic law has to say about managing organic waste as an alternative feed ingredient. Using a deductive case study methodology, the qualitative research method employs a case study approach. The data sources consisted of primary data obtained from direct interviews with the cultivator's head and secondary data obtained from journal references. According to the findings of this study, the Blue economy can be implemented by utilizing organic waste as an alternative feed ingredient for catfish in the following ways: 1). Community outreach regarding activities, 2). The community separates its trash, and officers collect it from the residents' homes, 3). Waste will be provided for consumption by larvae, 4). In addition to pellet feed, Maggots will be fed to catfish as an alternative food source. This activity has the potential to reduce environmental pollution and produce no waste. Maggots can save money on pellet purchases and have promising prospects as an alternative feed that reduces waste accumulation. Using alternative fish feed ingredients with Maggot does not violate Islamic law and does not affect the halal status of the fish fed the alternative elements.
