Abstract

Kurikulum pendidikan dasar dan menengah mengalami perubahan dalam tiga tahun terakhir yaitu perubahan versi kurikulum 2013 versi pertama. Kemudian berubah dengan versi tahun 2014, dan terakhir perubahan versi 2016. Hal inimeresahkan para guru dan orang tua siswa dalam meilih buku sumber ajar yang sesuai. Penelitian ini mengungkap ketersediaan materi, kecukupan, dan kesesuaian materi sumber ajar dengan kompetensi dasar (KD) kurikulum 2013 revisi 2016 pada mata pelajaran IPS di SMP Kota Pontianak. Metode penelitian menggunakan analysis konten. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketersediaan materi dinilai memadai dengan kategori baik. Kecukupan materi berdasar KD kurikulum 2013 dinilai tidak memadai. Kesesuaian materi dengan tuntutan KD untuk kurikulum 2013 dinilai tidak sesuai.

Abstract

Penelitian terdahulu diperoleh bahwa mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Ilmu-ilmu Sosial (PIIS) sebagian besar menggunakan internet dalam aktivitas komunikasi dan akademik menggunakan media internet. Penelitian ini merupakan kelanjutan untuk menjawab permasalahan hubungan antara literasi media internet, literasi membaca, dan literasi menulis sebagai kompetensi literasi digital di era Revolusi Industri 4.0 (R.I. 4.0). Pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan instrument angket. Jumlah partisipan sebanyak 151 orang. Variable penelitian diukur dengan skala ordinal berdasarkan sikap dan pernyataan yang dijawab partisipan. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik uji korelasi untuk menguji hipotesis yang diajukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa PIIS sangat baik (91%) menggunakan media internet mengunduh referensi untuk mendukung aktivitas belajar. Referensi diunduh dalam format pdf (77%). Selanjutnya untuk melengkapi referensi mahasiswa mengnduh artikel jurnal penelitian (50%) dan artikel dari Blog (52%). Hubungan antara variable literasi media internet, membaca, dan menulis dengan nilai koefisien sangan rendah dan tidak signifikan. Sedangkan, hubungan parsial antara literasi membaca dan menulis menujukkan nilai koefisien cukup dan signifikan

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan mengetahui: strategi, hambatan dan upaya guru menghadapai hambatan dalam meningkatkan partisipasi menyampaikan pendapat peserta didik kelas VIII pada mata pelajaran IPS. Bentuk penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif dan data didapatkan dari hasil observasi, wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan teknik interaktif dan pengujian keabsahan data yaitu triangulasi teknik dan sumber. penelitian ini menunjukkan hasil bahwa strategi guru meningkatkan partisipasi menyampaikan pendapat peserta didik, yaitu: pemberian pujian, membentuk kelompok kecil, pemberian nilai/poin tambahan dan persaingan. Sedangkan hambatan guru adalah kondisi kesehatan guru, peserta didik, situasi kelas tidak kondusif dan media pembelajaran yang kurang bervariasi. Kemudian untuk upaya guru mengatasi hambatan, yaitu: penerapan pembelajaran berpusat pada peserta didik (student centered), memberikan waktu tunggu kepada peserta didik dan pendekatan individu

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the social skills of students in the subject of Social Science in the eighth grade at SMP Negeri 09 Teluk Keramat, focusing on aspects of communication and cooperation abilities. The study utilized a descriptive method with a qualitative design. The participants in this study were teachers who teach social science and eighth-grade students. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The data collection tools were observation guidelines, interview guidelines, and documentation tools. Data analysis technique involve data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The validation of the data is carried out using triangulation techniques. The results of this research indicate: (1) the social communication skills of students in learning social science are not yet optimal. This is because students feel hesitant when speaking to convey opinions or ask questions, and often use the local language when communicating in the classroom; (2) the social cooperation skills of students in learning social science are already good. This is evidenced students who can assist their peers in explaining group discussion tasks, refrain from blaming their peers' opinions, actively listen when their peers express their opinions, and take responsibility for completing the group discussion assign.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the STAD (Student Team Achievement Division) type cooperative learning model at SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Raya, Kubu Raya Regency. This study uses a quasi-experimental quantitative experimental method. The research subjects were 74 people (37 students in grades VII, C and E). Multiple-choice objective tests in the form of pretest and posttest are used as data collection techniques, and observation guides are used as data collection tools. The hypothesis was tested by paired sample t-test, and Shapiro Wilk's normality test was used in the data analysis method. Empirical evidence shows that the STAD model has been effectively applied in an educational environment. The results of the analysis showed that before and after the test of the normality test of the experimental class. After that, a parametric hypothesis test was carried out, and the results of the paired sample t-test showed a significance level (asymbiotic growth) of the asymptotic sig of 0.000<0.05 for the type of 2-tailed cooperative learning type which represents the 2-tailed asymptotic sig cooperative learning model. The STAD model influences students' learning goals.

Abstract

This study aims to determine social interactions in cooperation and accommodation between Chinese and Malay ethnic groups in Sungai Bulan Village, Singkawang Utara. The method used in this study is descriptive-qualitative with data sourced from the community (primary data) and documentation (secondary information). This study's informants were six people from Chinese and Malay ethnic groups in Sungai Bulan Village, Singkawang Utara. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing are the data analysis techniques used. The validity of the research data was tested using extended observations and triangulation. The results of this study show that there is cooperation in the form of association, bargaining, and collaboration. In addition, there are also accommodations in the form of compromise, mediation, and tolerance between both ethnic groups. Based on the results, social interaction in the form of cooperation and capacity between Chinese and Malay ethnic groups in Sungai Bulan Village, Singkawang Utara, is going very well.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how students are interested in learning about the subject of geography in class . The form of research used in this research is qualitative research with descriptive research methods. Data collection techniques in this research used observation, interviews and documentation methods. The data collection instruments used were observation sheets, documentation and interview guides. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model which consists of data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions. The research results show that class XI IIS students are interested in geography subjects. Students' interest in learning can be seen through 4 indicators, namely, feelings of happiness, students' attention, students' involvement, and students' willingness to learn. So students are said to be interested in geography subjects because they meet the four indicators of learning interest.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to know how the interest of the students to study the subject of geography class XI IIS in MAN 1 Sintang, so that the teacher can find a solution to solve the problems felt by the students in their learning activities, so the students will gain success from their learning. The form of research used in this research is qualitative research with descriptive research methods. Data collection techniques in this study use observation, interview, and documentation methods. The data collection tools used are observation sheets, documentation and interview guidelines. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model that consists of data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing. The results of the research showed that students of class XI IIS were interested in geography subjects. Students' interest in learning can be seen through 4 indicators, namely, the feeling of pleasure, the attention of the students, the involvement of students, and the willingness to learn the students. So students are said to be interested in geography subjects because they meet the four indicators of interest in learning.

Abstract

This article investigates multicultural education in Singkawang, Indonesia, where diverse ethnicities coexist. Rapid social changes often trigger ethnic migration, leading to a convergence of cultures. Ethnocentrism can impede inter-ethnic communication, fostering stereotypes and ethnic conflicts. Multicultural education, emphasizing democratic, humanistic, and pluralistic values, is proposed to address these issues. Singkawang, recognized for its ethnic diversity, serves as a unique case study. The research method involves qualitative analysis with interviews from students, teachers, and parents from various ethnic backgrounds. Findings revealed the city's friendly atmosphere, preserved harmony, and respectful behavior, especially among students. "Ngopi bareng" (coffee gathering) is identified as a key practice among adult localsstated by parents of students in maintaining multiculturalism. Schools also actively promote tolerance through democratic practices, curriculum diversity, and inclusive instructional strategies. The article concludes that multicultural education is vital in fostering acceptance, understanding, and appreciation of diversity, emphasizing the dynamic nature of this approach in shaping open-minded individuals in a diverse society. Further research is recommended to explore this topic's nuances.

Abstract

Abstract The unavailability of tertiary institutions, both public and private, in Rasau Jaya District, Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan Province, has caused students to travel from Rasau Jaya District to Pontianak City and vice versa. This study aims to determine the factors of geographical location and accessibility, which influence the travel patterns of students living in the District of Rasau Jaya to commute. The method used is descriptive quantitative method, with 69 respondents. Data, obtained through questionnaires, were analyzed using descriptive methods. This study shows that location and accessibility factors affect the travel patterns of commuter students in the District of Rasau Jaya. The farthest distance taken by students to travel from their place of residence to the location of the college is 44 km with an estimated travel time of (30-120) minutes, and the mode of transportation used is a motorcycle. The majority of these motorcycle-using students spend more than IDR 15,000 per day to buy fuel for their vehicles. Keywords: commuting trip; geographic factor; location factor; accessibility factor; travel pattern Abstrak Belum tersedianya perguruan tinggi, baik negeri maupun swasta, di Kecamatan Rasau Jaya, Kabupaten Kubu Raya, Provinsi Kalimantan Barat, menyebabkan terjadinya perjalanan komuting mahasiswa dari Kecamatan Rasau Jaya menuju ke Kota Pontianak dan sebaliknya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan faktor-faktor geografis lokasi dan aksesibilitas, yang memengaruhi pola perjalanan mahasiswa yang tinggal di Kecamatan Rasau Jaya melakukan perjalanan komuting. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif deskriptif, dengan responden sebanyak 69 orang. Data yang diperoleh melalui kuesioner, dianalisis dengan metode deskriptif. Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor lokasi dan aksesibilitas memengaruhi pola perjalanan mahasiswa komuter di Kecamatan Rasau Jaya. Jarak terjauh yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa untuk melakukan perjalanan dari tempat tinggal menuju ke lokasi perguruan tinggi adalah 44 km dengan estimasi waktu perjalanan (30-120) menit, dan moda kendaraan yang digunakan adalah sepeda motor. Mayoritas mahasiswa pengguna sepeda motor ini mengeluarkan uang lebih dari Rp15 ribu per hari untuk membeli bahan bakar untuk kendaraannya.
