Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the Arabic–English Pocket Dictionary (Cory) Based on Symbolic Art to increase Arabic vocabulary mastery in elementary school. To find out how Cory is implemented and increased, this research uses classroom action research methods. Classroom action research (CAR) is a research method whose implementation is carried out to find out problems in the learning process as well as steps that teachers can take to improve the quality of learning, which refers to the research implementation process, consisting of four stages, namely (1) Planning, (2) Actualing, (3) Observation, and (4) Reflecting (reflecting in general on the research process). This must be done in at least two cycles if it shows the target that has been determined. The research process was carried out in two cycles. The results of the first and second cycle post-tests obtained an average score of 76 and 95, respectively, with learning completeness results in each cycle of 70% and 100%. Thus, the percentage increase in student learning outcomes is 30%.

Abstract

This research aimed to investigate the indicators in the analysis of needs for the development of Arabic language e-learning. The research was important as it served as the foundation for aspects that would be developed in the subsequent Research and Development phases. The research employed a descriptive research method with a quantitative approach. Data was collected through observation techniques, survey questionnaires, and literature review. The analysis results were aimed at determining the percentage values of each indicator and categorizing them based on these percentages. The findings of the needs analysis research indicated that there were six aspects that needed to be developed in the Markaz Arabiyah e-learning, namely usage guidelines for E-learning, self-learning materials, practice exercises, university selection exam simulations, information about universities in the Middle East, and discussion access.

Abstract

This study analyzes majaz ‘aqli in QS. Al-Haqqah from the perspective of Arabic literary studies and balāghah Qur’āniyyah. As a Makkiyah surah characterized by strong eschatological discourse, QS. Al-Haqqah employs figurative language not only to convey meaning, but also to construct powerful rhetorical and aesthetic effects. This research aims to identify forms of majaz ‘aqli found in the surah and to explain their rhetorical functions within the framework of ‘ilm al-bayān. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the data were obtained from selected verses of QS. Al-Haqqah and analyzed through classical balāghah theory supported by contemporary Qur’anic linguistic studies. The findings reveal six instances of majaz ‘aqli, consisting of ‘alaqah sababiyyah, mashdariyyah, and fa‘iliyyah. These forms demonstrate how actions are rhetorically attributed to causes, sources, or subjects to intensify meaning, emphasize divine power, and reinforce the eschatological message of the surah. This study contributes to Arabic literary criticism by showing that majaz ‘aqli functions as a central stylistic device that strengthens semantic depth, rhetorical persuasion, and the aesthetic coherence of Qur’anic discourse.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the function of applying Ilm al-Badiʿ (both muhassinat lafdziyyah and maʿnawiyyah) in Sermon [16] of Nahj al-Balaghah, commonly known as the Sermon of the Pledge (Khutbah Baiʿat) of Ali ibn Abi Talib. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with a rhetorical content analysis (balaghiyyah) approach. The findings reveal a dominant use of contrastive techniques (tibaq and muqabalah) and phonetic techniques (jinas and sajaʿ). The muhassinat maʿnawiyyah primarily function as tools of dramatization to emphasize moral dichotomies (such as al-haqq versus al-batil), while the muhassinat lafdziyyah serve to create a climactic rhythm that reinforces the urgency and authority of the message. Therefore, it can be concluded that Ilm al-Badiʿ is employed instrumentally by Ali ibn Abi Talib as a communication strategy to strengthen the prophetic message and to construct moral and leadership authority.
