Abstract

Assessment is one of the important things to do, especially in differential learning in the independent curriculum currently implemented. Non-cognitive diagnostic assessment is an assessment that is still rarely researched. This research aimed to develop a non-cognitive diagnostic assessment (learning style) at the high school level. The method used in this research is development, or Research and Development (RD). The model used in this research is the ADDIE model. The model consists of five stages, namely the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. This research sample involved all class X students, totaling 30 students. Based on research that has been conducted, shows that non-cognitive diagnostic instruments based on experiential learning theory can be used to determine student learning styles. Based on SHS 22 Tangerang Regency, it is known that students tend to have a learning style. Reflective observational elements have the highest percentage of 76.44% and abstract conceptual elements have the lowest percentage of 71.89%.

Abstract

Materials about the reproductive system are often considered difficult by students, but have a significant influence on their awareness of the importance of maintaining healthy reproductive organs and obtaining appropriate sexual education. Assessment is a structured process to collect information about student achievement in learning. One of the assessment methods that can be applied by teachers is formative assessment. The application of formative assessment can be done by utilizing technological advances, such as the use of quizizzes. Therefore, this study aims to develop a quizizz-based formative assessment for reproductive system material in class XI, with the aim of evaluating the feasibility of the product through validity testing, item reliability testing, difficulty level testing, and differentiation testing. The method used was R&D (Research and Development) with Thiagarajan's 4D approach. The research subjects consisted of 20 XI grade students in one of the high schools in Bojongkulur. The results obtained from several product validation tests by validators show that: The logical validity test reached 85.17%, out of 25 items, 20 were declared valid and 5 were invalid. Reliability of formative assessment questions shows a fairly good level of reliability with a reliability coefficient of 0.62. The findings of this study are in line with the core and basic competencies, able to measure students' high level of cognition, and effective in distinguishing between students with high and low abilities.

Abstract

Salah satu kurikulum yang tengah dikembangkan di Indonesia adalah kurikulum pemadatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen evaluasi pembelajaran mengenai keanekaragaman hayati yang disesuaikan dengan kurikulum pemadatan (curriculum compacting). Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) menggunakan model 4D dari Thiagarajan. Sebanyak 30 siswa kelas X dijadikan sebagai subjek penelitian, dan dua validator, yaitu seorang guru sekolah menengah atas dan seorang dosen dengan pengalaman luas dalam penilaian pengajaran biologi, turut serta dalam validasi instrumen. Data yang dikumpulkan bersifat kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Validasi ahli menghasilkan data yang menunjukkan kegunaan instrumen. Dari 20 soal yang diajukan sebelum uji empiris, 10 soal dinyatakan valid dan 10 soal lainnya tidak valid. Nilai reliabilitas sebesar 5,7 menunjukkan kriteria cukup. Dalam uji tingkat kesukaran, 7 soal termasuk kategori cukup, sementara 13 soal dianggap mudah. Uji daya pembeda menunjukkan bahwa 5 soal berada pada kategori buruk, 10 soal cukup, 4 soal baik, dan 1 soal sangat baik. Kesimpulannya, instrumen ini dapat digunakan untuk pembelajaran tentang keanekaragaman hayati.

Abstract

Assessment in practical activities only focuses on cognitive and psychomotor aspects, while attitude assessment tends to be neglected. This condition indicates the need to develop a valid and reliable attitude assessment instrument to support a more comprehensive assessment. This study aims to develop an attitude assessment instrument based on validated and reliable observation techniques in the context of environmental pollution practical activities. This study uses a type of development research (Research and Development) with a development design that refers to the ADDIE model. The subjects of this study include: (1) Three expert validators who are lecturers of Biology Education, and (2) 36 students of class X.A SMAN 89 Jakarta. Data analysis was carried out through logical validation by experts and empirical validity and reliability tests using Product Moment correlation analysis and Cronbach's Alpha reliability formula. The results of the logical validation carried out by three experts showed that the attitude assessments assessed were all valid, with an average of 78.36%. At the implementation stage, empirical validity and reliability tests were conducted on 36 students and obtained eight valid attitude aspects with calculated r results > r table. Then all valid attitude aspects were tested for reliability and the result was 0.422, so that the instrument developed was included in the fairly reliable category.

Abstract

Dibutuhkan keterampilan berpikir kritis yang mampu mendukung perubahan dalam era globalisasi. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan keterampilan tersebut adalah menggunakan media pembelajaran yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan website Mikrobo pada pembelajaran blended learning materi bakteri untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah research and development (R&D) dengan desain penelitian model Hannafin & Peck. Pengumpulan data melibatkan kuesioner dan wawancara guru. Selain itu dilakukan juga tahapan penilaian kebutuhan (need assessment), mendesain web Mikrobo dan implementasinya dengan disertai proses evaluasi serta revisi pada setiap tahapnya. Web Mikrobo mendapat kriteria penilaian sangat valid dari ahli media dan materi dengan nilai sebesar 3,36 dan 3,56. Uji coba kelompok kecil dan besar oleh siswa kelas X IPA SMAN 4 Rangkasbitung menunjukan nilai sebesar 3,42 dan 3,32 dengan kriteria sangat valid juga. Hasil penilaian menunjukan bahwa web ini mudah digunakan, sangat informatif, memiliki tampilan menarik, dan menampilkan gambar serta video dengan resolusi tinggi. Uji efektivitas dilakukan menggunakan metode one-group pretest- posttest design pada 35 siswa menghasilkan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,52 yang termasuk pada kategori sedang. Hasil ini menunjukan bahwa penggunaan web Mikrobo cukup efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran blended learning materi bakteri.Web Mikrobo dapat digunakan oleh guru sebagai alternatif media pembelajaran. Web ini juga dapat digunakan oleh siswa diluar jam sekolah sebagai sumber daya tambahan yang melengkapi materi di kelas. Tentunya Web Mikrobo ini harus dikembangkan secara berkelanjutan dengan menyesuaikan perkembangan kurikulum serta perkembangan teknologi informasi.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive flipbook-based e-module as a learning medium for the mammal practicum to enhance the critical thinking skills of biology education students. The research employed a research and development (R&D) approach using the Hannafin and Peck model, which includes three main stages: needs analysis, design and development, and implementation with evaluation. The participants involved were biology education students enrolled in the mammal practicum course. Data were collected through expert validation questionnaires for both content and media, as well as critical thinking tests. The validation results indicated that the developed e-module met the feasibility standards in terms of both content accuracy and visual presentation. Limited trials showed a notable improvement in students’ critical thinking abilities after using the e-module. Therefore, the interactive flipbook-based e-module is considered effective and suitable as an alternative learning medium in mammal practicum sessions to support students’ critical thinking development.

Abstract

Dalam proses pendidikan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi memiliki peran dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan individual peserta didik. Tingkat kesiapan, minat dan gaya belajar yang berbeda-beda tidak menutup kemungkinan bagi peserta didik untuk tetap menciptakan proses berfikir tingkat tinggi dalam pembelajaran. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan pengembangan instrumen penilaian berbasis HOTS pada materi virus. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan instrumen penilaian pada materi virus berdasarkan tingkat pemahaman yang berbeda pada peserta didik SMA kelas X IPA. Metode yang digunakan adalah research dan development (R&D) dengan desain penelitian model 4-D, meliputi tahap Define, Design, Develop dan Dessaminate. Hasil yang diperoleh untuk validitas teoritis terhadap 1 dosen sebagai ahli pendidikan dan 2 guru sebagai ahli materi adalah sebesar 89,03 %, hasil validitas empiris terhadap 110 siswa SMA kelas XI dan XII  menyatakan r hitung lebih besar dari r tabel, nilai reliabilitas instrumennya sebesar 0,977, analisis tingkat kesukaran soal menyatakan 30% (mudah), 63,33% (sedang) dan 6,67% (sukar), analisis daya pembeda menunjukkan 93,33% cukup memadai dan 6,67% lemah. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa soal yang digunakan dalam pengembangan instrumen penilaian sudah sangat baik dan memenuhi kriteria HOTS sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai instrumen penilaian materi virus kelas X SMA. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah agar siswa SMA terlatih untuk memecahkan soal dengan berfikir kritis.

Abstract

Penyebaran kecerdasan buatan generatif, khususnya ChatGPT, dalam sektor pendidikan sedang mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan, sehingga menawarkan keuntungan potensial dan tantangan yang melekat. Investigasi ini berusaha untuk menggambarkan berbagai modalitas aplikasi, hasil yang menguntungkan, efek samping, serta kekurangan penelitian yang ada yang berkaitan dengan AI generatif dalam konteks pendidikan. Metodologi yang digunakan terdiri dari tinjauan literatur sistematis yang mencakup 42 artikel yang diindeks di Scopus. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa ChatGPT diterapkan dalam praktik pedagogis, evaluasi, pengalaman belajar yang disesuaikan, dan regulasi pembelajaran seseorang, menghasilkan efek afirmatif pada literasi kognitif, emosional, dan digital, di samping timbulnya risiko ketergantungan dan pengurangan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Studi ini menggarisbawahi perlunya pendekatan yang dikelola dengan hati-hati dan berkelanjutan untuk penggabungan teknologi AI generatif

Abstract

Plant classification material is one of the materials listed in the basic competence of the curriculum applied in Indonesia and is less attractive to students because the characteristics of plants are quite difficult to identify so that the classification is complicated. It is known that most middle-level students really like games which are integrated in learning activities. Therefore, this study aims to develop a media called Plant-Puzzle Games (PPG) which is expected to have a positive effect in the form of increasing the learning motivation of junior high school students in studying plant classification material. The research method used in this study is a research and development method with the ASSURE model as the research design. Based on the results of the media validation test by experts, an average value of 3.25 was obtained, which indicates that the media was included in the valid category. Based on the results of the effectiveness test with the calculation of N-Gain, the average value is 0.49. This shows that, after using PPG media, the learning motivation of students has increased which is in the sufficient category.

Abstract

Learning is considered effective and efficient when it achieves a level of attainment that exceeds established standards. Innovative learning is a new approach or idea used to support students' development in the learning process and its outcomes. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of creative classroom learning models and new learning models. This research employed a quantitative method using meta-analysis on 22 experimental research results obtained from domestic and international academic journals. Based on effectiveness calculations by grade level, Class XI scored higher than Class X, with a score difference of 0.87. With an effect size of 1.72, Guided Inquiry was the most influential type of innovative learning. The syntax of this type encourages students to participate actively in learning. This indicates that innovative learning models have a significant impact on learning outcomes. Therefore, this learning model can be beneficial for biology education.
