Abstract

Critical thinking skills are one of the core competencies in 21st-century education, especially in science learning that emphasizes analysis, evaluation, and problem solving. This study aims to identify trends and research focuses on critical thinking in the context of science education through a bibliometric approach. Data were collected from the Dimensions database using the keywords "critical thinking" and related terms in the period 2010–2024. Bibliometric analysis was conducted using VOSviewer software to map the main keywords, the network of relationships between terms, and the temporal dynamics of publications. The results show that the keywords "critical thinking", "local wisdom", "module", "STEM", and "elementary school" emerged as dominant themes. The problem-based learning (PBL) approach, integration of local wisdom values, and the use of contextual modules are the most frequently studied strategies in an effort to improve students' critical thinking skills. Temporal analysis shows a spike in publications since 2020, indicating increasing attention to the importance of developing critical thinking in the science curriculum. These findings provide strategic directions for curriculum development, learning innovation, and educational research in the future.

Abstract

The primary objective of this study is to investigate the optical properties of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) based polymer films, incorporating methylene blue (MB) dye and trichloroacetic acid (TCA), for their potential application in gamma radiation dosimetry. Specifically, this research aims to explore the effects of gamma radiation on the color change characteristics, optical absorption spectra, activation energy, and optical band gap energy of the PVA-MB-TCA polymer films. Additionally, the study seeks to assess the stability of these polymer films under varying doses of gamma radiation, ranging up to 14 kGy. The PVA-MB-TCA polymer films were prepared using a solvent-casting method. The polymer film samples were then exposed to gamma radiation from a 60Co source, with doses up to 14 kGy. The study observed significant color changes in the polymer films, transitioning from blue at 0 kGy to light blue-near transparent at 14 kGy. Spectrophotometric analysis identified three distinct wavelengths of maximum absorption at 360 nm, 440 nm, and 560 nm. As the radiation dose increased, absorption values decreased at 360 nm and 440 nm, while an opposite trend was noted at 560 nm. Furthermore, the activation energy of the polymer films was found to decrease with increasing radiation doses, indicating a reduction in the energy barriers for internal reactions. Similarly, the optical band gap energy also showed a decreasing trend with higher radiation doses across all types of transitions. These results demonstrate that the PVA-MB-TCA polymer films undergo significant optical and structural changes when exposed to gamma radiation, highlighting their potential utility as reliable high-dose radiation dosimeters. The stability of these films under radiation further supports their applicability in various fields requiring precise radiation dose monitoring, such as medical sterilization, food processing, and environmental safety.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of phET media-assisted incuquencing model learning tools to improve problem solving skills and generic skills of student physics design. The research design used is Research and Development (R&D) design with 4D Model (define, design, develop, &disseminate). The learning tools developed include: syllabus, Lesson Plan, Student worksheet, Test instruments, and PhET media. The feasibility data of the defense device is obtained from the validation results of 3 expert validators and 3 practitioner validators. Validation results show syllabus, Lesson Plan, test instruments and Media PhET in very valid category and Student worksheet valid category. The reliability of the learning pre-level with an average of 92.3 % indicates that all components assessed are in the realiabel category. The practicality of learning skills is projected from the results of teacher responses, the implementation of learning is in the category of very practical and the response of learners with practical categories. The effectiveness of learning skills based on N-gain problem solving skills and generic skills of physics science learners, obtained an average of N-gain of 77 and 78 respectively with a highly effective category. Based on these results, it was concluded that the learning skills of the phet media-assisted incugate model are feasible, practical and effective to improve problem solving skills and generic skills of the students' physics

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh strategi Creative Problem Solving dengan pendekatan STEM terhadap keterampilan proses sains. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimental dengan desain non-equivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas XI SMAN 3 Mataram. Pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, sehingga terpilih lah kelas XI IPA 6 sejumlah 25 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 5 sejumlah 30 orang sebagai kelas kontrol. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah strategi Creative Problem Solving dengan pendekatan STEM sedangkan keterampilan proses sains sebagai variabel terikat. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur keterampilan proses sains sejumlah 6 soal uraian Hasil analisis data pretest keterampilan proses sains kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol tidak jauh berbeda. Setelah diberikan perlakuan nilai rata-rata posttest keterampilan proses sains kelas eksperimen 84 dan kelas kontrol 74. Hasil uji hipotesis keterampilan proses sains didapatkan thitung yaitu 2,404. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh strategi Creative Problem Solving dengan pendekatan STEM terhadap keterampilan proses sains peserta didik

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model PBL terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas x pada materi dinamika rotasi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian non quivalent control group design. Populasinya seluruh peserta didik kelas X MIPA SMAN 1 Monta. Teknik sampling yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah teknik purposive sumpling dengan kelas X MIPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X MIPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen diberi perlakuan berupa model PBL dan kelas kontrol diberi perlakuan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Pada saat sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan, kedua kelas diberi tes keterampilan berpikir kritis yang berjumlah 10 soal. Hasil tes awal dan tes akhir keterampilan berpikir kritis dianalisis homogenitas dan normalitasnya untuk melakukan uji hipotesis. Analisis uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model PBL terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas X pada materi dinamika rotasi. Abstract

: Thin film characteristics are the properties possessed by the thin film, both physical and chemical properties. The characteristics of this thin film are influenced by several factors, namely the material that makes up the thin film, the thin film deposition method, and the conditions of the thin film deposition process. This research aims to identify and analyze research trends in the characteristics of thin films as electronic devices. This research method is descriptive and analytical. The data used in this research was obtained from documents indexed by Google Scholar from 2015-2024 using Publish or Perish and Dimension.ai. Research procedures use PRISMA guidelines. The data identified and analyzed are the type of publication, publication source, and the title of research on thin film synthesis that is widely cited. The data analysis method uses bibliometric analysis assisted by VOSviewer software. The results of the analysis show that the trend of research on the characteristics of thin films as electronic devices indexed by Google Scholar from 2015 to 2024 experienced a fluctuating increase, however, in 2023 there was a decline in the trend of research on the characteristics of thin films as electronic devices. There are many documents in the form of articles, proceedings, book chapters, preprints, and edited books that discuss research into the characteristics of thin films as electronic devices. Key words that are often used in research on the characteristics of thin films as electronic devices are thin film coating, heat transfer characteristic, film characteristic, and photovoltaic characteristic.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the project-based learning model on students' critical thinking skills on elasticity and Hooke's law. The population in this study was all class XI MIPA SMAN 1 Terara. Sampling was carried out using a purposive sampling technique, so that class XI MIPA 1 as many as 30 people as the experimental class and class XI MIPA 3 as many as 30 people as the control class. The type of research used was a quasi-experimental with a nonequivalent control group research design. The instrument used was a descriptive test of 5 questions. Post-test data were analyzed using a normality test using the chi-square formula and homogeneity test using a variance test, then hypothesis testing using a polled variance t-test, because the number of students in the experimental and control classes was the same and the data was distributed homogeneously. This test was conducted to determine whether or not there was an effect of the project-based learning model on students' critical thinking skills. Data analysis shows that the values are 5,90 and 2,00, so that  it means there is a positive influence of the project-based learning model on students' critical thinking skills in the material on elasticity and Hooke's law

Abstract

Rendahnya kreativitas guru dalam merancang dan menggunakan media pembelajaran, khususnya yang berbasis virtual, menjadi masalah utama yang diidentifikasi di SMA Negeri 2 Jonggat. Hal ini berdampak pada monotonnya proses belajar mengajar dan kurangnya keterlibatan aktif peserta didik. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk melaksanakan program pelatihan dan pendampingan guna meningkatkan kreativitas guru melalui pemanfaatan berbagai platform media pembelajaran virtual. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan, yang berlangsung pada hari Sabtu, 17 Mei 2025, terdiri dari tiga tahap utama: (1) pemberian materi teoritis mengenai konsep media virtual dan prinsip kreativitas dalam pembelajaran, (2) workshop praktik pembuatan media menggunakan tools seperti Canva for Education, simulasi PHET, serta (3) sesi pendampingan dimana peserta secara berkelompok merancang Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) yang mengintegrasikan media yang telah dibuat. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan guru. Sebanyak 95% peserta berhasil membuat media pembelajaran virtual interaktif dan merasa lebih percaya diri untuk menerapkannya di kelas. Pembahasan mengungkap bahwa pendekatan kombinasi antara pelatihan intensif dan pendampingan langsung terbukti efektif dalam membangun kapasitas guru secara berkelanjutan. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah bahwa program pelatihan dan pendampingan yang terstruktur dan praktis berhasil memacu kreativitas guru serta menjadi katalis untuk transformasi pembelajaran yang lebih dinamis dan relevan di SMA Negeri 2 Jonggat.

Abstract

Abstract: This community service aims to provide insight into the knowledge of writing scientific papers in an effort to improve teacher professionalism. Training The methods used in community service activities are the lecture, discussion and question, and answer method. Results of community service activities overall it can be considered quite good, seen from the presence of trainees reaching 90% of the number of MA Manbaul Bayan East Lombok teachers. The implementation procedure in the classroom action research training was rated as well based on positive responses from the participants and the level of mastery of the participants reached 75% of all stages of the implementation of the Classroom Action Research.Keywords: Classroom Action Research, Training and Assistance

Abstract

Abstrak: Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman guru dan siswa tentang pembelajaran inkuiri berbasis media virtual program java pada mata pelajaran fisika. Adapun materi fisika yang disampaikan dalam pengabdian ini terdiri dari gerak benda, percepatan benda dan hukum Newton, serta gerak jatuh bebas. Secara umum kegiatan pelatihan ini berhasil  dan terlaksana dengan baik, karena guru-guru fisika yang menjadi peserta merasa mendapatkan bekal cara-cara menyampaikan materi fisika menggunakan model inkuiri berbasis media virtual program java dan termotivasi untuk menerapkannya dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Selain itu, di akhir pertemuan mereka menginginkan kegiatan ini berkelanjutan untuk penguatan konsep fisika bagi guru SMA. Kata Kunci:Pembelajaran Inkuiri; Media Virtual Program Java
