Abstract

Ketahanan pangan di Jawa Barat, Indonesia, terancam oleh meningkatnya frekuensi dan tingkat keparahan kekeringan yang disebabkan oleh perubahan iklim. Sistem agrometeorologi, yang mengintegrasikan data meteorologi dengan praktik pertanian, menawarkan solusi yang menjanjikan untuk memitigasi dampak kekeringan terhadap ketahanan pangan. Studi penelitian dengan metode campuran ini menilai status dan efektivitas sistem agrometeorologi saat ini di Jawa Barat, mengeksplorasi perspektif pemangku kepentingan, mengidentifikasi tantangan dan peluang, dan memberikan rekomendasi berbasis bukti. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa meskipun banyak petani yang mengetahui tentang layanan agrometeorologi, tingkat pemanfaatannya bervariasi, dengan pertanian komersial yang lebih besar lebih cenderung menggunakan layanan ini. Petani yang mengakses data agrometeorologi melaporkan bahwa mereka melakukan penyesuaian strategis terhadap praktik pengelolaan tanaman. Para pemangku kepentingan menekankan perlunya peningkatan aksesibilitas data, penyesuaian saran, pengembangan kapasitas, dan integrasi data. Tantangan yang dihadapi termasuk aksesibilitas data yang terbatas dan kebutuhan akan inisiatif pengembangan kapasitas yang komprehensif. Peluang yang ada meliputi dukungan pemerintah, integrasi data, dan munculnya inisiatif berbasis masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggarisbawahi potensi sistem agrometeorologi untuk meningkatkan ketahanan pangan di Jawa Barat jika tantangan-tantangan utama dapat diatasi.

Abstract

Pertanian padi merupakan kegiatan pertanian yang vital di Indonesia, dengan Jawa Barat sebagai wilayah yang sangat penting dalam lanskap pertanian ini. Namun, musim kemarau yang berulang menimbulkan tantangan yang signifikan terhadap budidaya padi di wilayah ini. Sistem irigasi terpadu, yang menggabungkan berbagai sumber air dan teknik irigasi yang canggih, menawarkan solusi potensial untuk mengatasi tantangan ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan metode campuran, yang mengintegrasikan pengumpulan dan analisis data kuantitatif dan kualitatif, untuk menilai secara komprehensif implementasi sistem irigasi terpadu di Jawa Barat. Temuan-temuannya menunjukkan distribusi sistem irigasi terpadu yang tidak merata di wilayah studi, dengan tingkat adopsi yang lebih tinggi di beberapa daerah dibandingkan dengan daerah lainnya. Air permukaan merupakan sumber utama untuk sistem ini, yang mendukung keandalan sumber air di daerah-daerah tertentu. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sistem irigasi terpadu secara signifikan meningkatkan hasil panen padi, dengan peningkatan rata-rata 20% selama musim kemarau. Selain itu, petani yang mengadopsi sistem ini melaporkan pendapatan bersih yang lebih tinggi, yang menekankan kelayakan ekonomi dari teknologi tersebut. Tantangan yang dihadapi antara lain biaya awal yang tinggi, kebutuhan akan pengetahuan teknis, dan masalah hak atas air, yang menghambat adopsi sistem irigasi terpadu secara luas. Namun, manfaatnya sangat besar, termasuk peningkatan produktivitas, pengurangan kerentanan terhadap variabilitas iklim, pemberdayaan ekonomi, dan ketahanan iklim. Selain itu, studi ini juga menyoroti aspek sosial-budaya dalam adopsi, menggarisbawahi pentingnya keterlibatan masyarakat dan pengetahuan bersama.

Abstract

Climate change poses significant challenges to agricultural systems, affecting productivity and sustainability. This study investigates the impact of climate change factors, management practices, and labor availability on agricultural resource management productivity among fruit farmers in Binjai. A sample of 121 farmers was surveyed, and data were analyzed using IBM SPSS. Results indicate a 1.5°C temperature increase over the past decade, negatively correlating with crop yields. Diverse management practices were observed, with integrated pest management positively influencing productivity. Labor availability exhibited seasonal variations, influenced by migration patterns. Spatial analysis highlighted temperature-sensitive clusters and regions prone to extreme weather events. The findings provide actionable insights for tailored interventions, emphasizing the need for climate-resilient strategies in Binjai's fruit farming.

Abstract

This research investigates the interplay of climate change factors, sustainable agricultural practices, and community involvement on agricultural productivity, focusing on rice farmers in the Cianjur area. Through a quantitative analysis involving 121 farmers, descriptive statistics, correlation, and multiple regression analyses were employed to unveil patterns and relationships. The results reveal a moderate positive correlation between climate change awareness and productivity, a strong positive association between sustainable practices and productivity, and a robust positive correlation between community involvement and productivity. Multiple regression analysis indicates that, collectively, these factors significantly contribute to agricultural productivity. The findings underscore the importance of holistic approaches that integrate climate resilience, sustainable practices, and community engagement for enhancing agricultural productivity in the Cianjur region.

Abstract

This research investigates the impact of organic fertilizer use on soil quality and agricultural yields in Indonesia through a qualitative analysis. Ten informants, including small-scale and large-scale farmers, agricultural experts, and environmentalists, provided insights into their perceptions and experiences. The study reveals diverse farmer perspectives, with small-scale farmers exhibiting limited awareness and large-scale farmers emphasizing long-term benefits. Organic fertilizers were found to positively influence soil quality, improving structure, water retention, and microbial activity. Crop-specific responses varied, highlighting the importance of considering regional agroecological conditions. Challenges such as access, affordability, and labor intensity were identified, countered by opportunities including government programs, cooperative farming, and consumer demand. Decision-making factors encompassed economic considerations, knowledge, environmental consciousness, and social influences. The synthesis underscores the need for tailored interventions, acknowledging the complexity of factors shaping the adoption of organic fertilizers in Indonesian agriculture.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyelidiki interaksi yang kompleks antara metode pertanian organik, penggunaan pupuk hayati, dan hasil yang diperoleh petani buah di Jawa Timur. Dengan menggunakan pemodelan persamaan struktural, kami menganalisis hubungan antara variabel-variabel utama, yaitu, Metode Pertanian Organik, Penggunaan Pupuk Hayati, Kualitas Hasil Panen, dan Keuntungan Bisnis Petani. Hasilnya menunjukkan hubungan positif yang signifikan antara adopsi metode pertanian organik dan penggunaan pupuk hayati dengan peningkatan keuntungan bisnis dan kualitas hasil panen yang lebih tinggi. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan berharga bagi para pembuat kebijakan, pemangku kepentingan pertanian, dan petani buah yang mencari praktik-praktik yang berkelanjutan dan layak secara ekonomi. Mendorong adopsi metode organik dan pupuk hayati muncul sebagai strategi yang menjanjikan untuk mendorong kelestarian lingkungan, meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian, dan meningkatkan ketahanan ekonomi petani buah di wilayah tersebut.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan sumber daya terbarukan dalam praktik pertanian berkelanjutan merupakan aspek kunci dalam upaya mengatasi tantangan global terkait perubahan iklim dan keberlanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis bibliometrik komprehensif terhadap tren dan perkembangan dalam penggunaan sumber daya terbarukan dalam praktik pertanian berkelanjutan. Data bibliometrik dari berbagai sumber penelitian, seperti Google Scholar, Web of Science, Scopus, dan PubMed, digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi tren penelitian, kolaborasi peneliti, serta potensi penelitian masa depan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa topik ini semakin mendapat perhatian dalam literatur ilmiah, dengan penekanan pada aspek-aspek lingkungan, sosio-ekonomi, dan geografis. Penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi berbagai potensi penelitian yang dapat mengarah pada pengembangan praktik pertanian berkelanjutan yang lebih efisien, terintegrasi dengan energi terbarukan, serta memperkuat ketersediaan pangan global.

Abstract

The Subak traditional farming system in Bali embodies a harmonious relationship between humans, nature, and spirituality, epitomizing the Balinese philosophy of "Tri Hita Karana." This qualitative study explores the role of the Subak system in the preservation of natural and cultural resources in Bali. Through interviews with Subak farmers, water temple priests, and other stakeholders, as well as participant observation and document analysis, the study examines the ecological functions, cultural significance, and challenges facing the Subak system. The findings reveal that the Subak system plays a vital role in maintaining ecological balance, biodiversity, and soil health in Bali's landscapes. Furthermore, the Subak system holds profound cultural significance, serving as a spiritual anchor, fostering community cohesion, and preserving cultural heritage. However, the Subak system faces numerous challenges, including urbanization, water scarcity, and demographic shifts, which threaten its sustainability and resilience. Addressing these challenges requires concerted efforts to protect Subak landscapes, promote traditional farming practices, and empower local communities. By recognizing the holistic value of the Subak system, stakeholders can work together to ensure the preservation of Bali's natural and cultural heritage for future generations.

Abstract

Soybean stands as a critical crop globally, serving as a primary source of protein and oil. Optimizing soybean production is imperative to meet increasing demand amid evolving environmental and agronomic challenges. This qualitative analysis delves into the role of soil type and environmental conditions in enhancing soybean yield. Through a synthesis of existing literature and insights from interviews with key stakeholders, patterns and trends influencing soybean cultivation are identified. The findings underscore the complex interplay between soil properties, climatic factors, and agronomic practices in shaping soybean production dynamics. Tailored management strategies are essential for optimizing soil health, water management, and varietal selection to enhance soybean resilience and sustainability in the face of ongoing climate change and variability.

Abstract

This study investigates the intricate relationships between environmental policy awareness, community awareness, social support, and community participation in forest conservation programs in West Kalimantan. Utilizing a sample of 150 participants, a quantitative analysis employing Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) was conducted. The measurement model analysis confirmed the reliability and validity of the survey instrument, and subsequent structural model analysis revealed significant positive relationships between environmental policy awareness, community awareness, social support, and community participation. The findings emphasize the importance of well-crafted environmental policies, informed communities, and robust social support networks in fostering sustainable engagement in forest conservation. These insights carry practical implications for policymakers, environmental organizations, and community leaders, providing a foundation for targeted interventions to enhance conservation initiatives in West Kalimantan.
