Abstract

Cosmetics are substances or preparations used on the external parts of the human body (epidermis, hair, nails, lips, and external genital organs) primarily for cleansing, perfuming, altering appearance, or improving body odor, or for protecting or maintaining the body's health. Providing counselling and education on safe cosmetics to teenagers is not just about giving beauty tips; it's a crucial step in protecting their long-term health. Adolescents are in a phase of physical and hormonal transition that makes them very concerned about their appearance, but they often lack sufficient consumer literacy to distinguish between safe and harmful products. This counselling aims to educate students to be wiser in choosing safe cosmetics. The method used is direct socialization to students at SMKN 8 Makassar, providing counselling to assess the improvement in understanding after education, direct socialization, and socialization using leaflets. The results obtained show an increase in participants' knowledge of how to choose and use appropriate and safe daily cosmetics. The conclusion of this service activity is that the counselling on safe cosmetics is highly relevant and well-received by adolescents, and it is able to improve their understanding of safe cosmetics, so similar activities can be expanded to other locations.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Good Corporate Governance (GCG) on market response, with corporate reputation as a moderating variable. The research focuses on property sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2023 period, using a purposive sample of 13 firms. A quantitative approach is employed, applying multiple linear regression and moderated regression analysis (MRA) to test both direct and interaction effects. CSR is measured based on disclosures aligned with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) indicators and Financial Services Authority (POJK) regulations, while GCG is proxied by managerial ownership. Market response is assessed using cumulative abnormal return (CAR), and corporate reputation is evaluated through indicators of public visibility and corporate image. The findings reveal that CSR has a positive and significant effect on market response, indicating that social responsibility disclosures provide favorable signals to investors. Conversely, GCG does not significantly influence market response, suggesting that governance mechanisms have not yet become a primary consideration for investors in the property sector. Corporate reputation is found to strengthen the relationship between CSR and market response, but it does not moderate the relationship between GCG and market response. These results highlight the strategic role of corporate reputation in enhancing the market impact of CSR activities. The study contributes to the development of legitimacy and agency theories in the Indonesian capital market and provides practical implications for companies, regulators, and investors in integrating non-financial information into investment and governance decisions

Abstract

Oyster mushrooms are widely consumed as part of daily food, similar to green vegetables. They contain beta-glucan fiber, antioxidants, and nutrients that support heart health, immunity, cognitive function, blood sugar control, and reduced cancer risk. These benefits encouraged Mr. Asmari to develop an oyster mushroom processing business. This community service activity evaluates the feasibility of the business based on four main aspects. From the engineering and production aspect, the business location is accessible, and electricity and water are adequate. The mushroom house is suitable, with proper shelves, ventilation, wide access doors, and sufficient lighting. However, production capacity has dropped significantly from about 1 kg to around 100 grams per baglog, indicating reduced productivity. In the aspect of organizational management and human resources, the number of workers is limited, and all production stages depend on minimal labor, so this aspect is considered not feasible. From the market and marketing aspect, products reach several schools and traditional markets, and product innovations match consumer preferences, although the market area remains small. Financial analysis also shows infeasibility, indicated by a payback period of more than five years, negative NPV, an IRR below the 30 percent standard, and a profitability index under 1.
