Abstract

The purpose of this study is to uncover the representation of words in presidential debates on YouTube social media reviewed from experiential, relational, and expressive values. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The source of the data is in the form of the results of the presidential debate text on YouTube social media. Data analysis techniques are carried out through the stages of data identification, description, data analysis, and conclusion drawing while maintaining the validity of the data through triangulation of techniques and sources. The results of the study show that based on Norman Fairclough's analysis, presidential debates on YouTube reflect experiential, relational, and expressive values. Experiential values show the construction of social reality through the choice of words that are ideological and persuasive. Relational values can be seen from language strategies that build power relations, solidarity, and the social position of candidates. Expressive values reflect attitudes, judgments, and ideological alignment to form self-image and emotional support.Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkap representasi kata dalam debat capres di media sosial YouTube ditinjau dari nilai eksperiensial, relasional, dan ekspresif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Sumber data berupa hasil teks debat capres di media sosial YouTube. Teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan identifikasi data, deskripsi, analisis data, dan penarikan kesimpulan dengan tetap menjaga keabsahan data melalui triangulasi teknik dan sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan analisis Norman Fairclough, debat capres di YouTube mencerminkan nilai-nilai eksperiensial, relasional, dan ekspresif. Nilai-nilai eksperiensial menunjukkan konstruksi realitas sosial melalui pilihan kata-kata yang bersifat ideologis dan persuasif. Nilai-nilai relasional terlihat dari strategi bahasa yang membangun hubungan kekuasaan, solidaritas, dan posisi sosial kandidat. Nilai-nilai ekspresif mencerminkan sikap, penilaian, dan keberpihakan ideologis untuk membentuk citra diri dan dukungan emosional.

Abstract

Ketimpangan akses pendidikan di wilayah 3T (Tertinggal, Terdepan, dan Terluar) menyebabkan rendahnya tingkat literasi dasar, termasuk kemampuan bahasa anak dan remaja. Dalam konteks multibahasa Indonesia, literasi dalam lebih dari satu bahasa menjadi kebutuhan strategis untuk pemberdayaan dan penguatan identitas lokal. Kegiatan ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain studi kasus di tiga wilayah 3T: Pulau Serasan (terluar), Entikong (terdepan), dan Pegunungan Bintang (tertinggal). Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi, lalu dianalisis menggunakan metode tematik. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pusat literasi multibahasa mampu meningkatkan kemampuan membaca anak-anak dalam bahasa ibu (rata-rata 82%), bahasa Indonesia (rata-rata 77%), dan bahasa Inggris dasar (rata-rata 48%). Selain aspek kognitif, program ini juga memperkuat rasa percaya diri, pelestarian bahasa lokal, dan partisipasi komunitas. Temuan ini memperkuat teori literasi sebagai praktik sosial dan pentingnya penggunaan bahasa ibu sebagai fondasi pembelajaran berbahasa lainnya. Pusat literasi tidak hanya menjadi sarana peningkatan kemampuan bahasa, tetapi juga berperan sebagai ruang interaksi budaya dan penguatan kapasitas komunitas lokal. Pusat literasi multibahasa terbukti menjadi pendekatan efektif dalam menjawab tantangan literasi anak di kawasan 3T. Dukungan kebijakan dan penguatan kapasitas fasilitator lokal sangat dibutuhkan untuk keberlanjutan dan perluasan program ini di wilayah lain.

Abstract

This research is a correlation study using a quantitative approach that aims to find the correlation between Mufrodat Mastery (Vocabulary) and Arabic Text Reading Ability of Students in Grade VIII of IT Al-Fikri Junior High School Makassar. The independent variable in this study is Mufrodat Mastery (Vocabulary), while the dependent variable is Arabic Text Reading Ability. The population in this study were all students of grade VIII of IT Junior High School Al-Fikri Makassar which amounted to 50 students and the sample in this study were students of grade VIII which amounted to 20 students. The research data were obtained by giving written tests in the form of Arabic vocabulary mastery tests and Arabic text comprehension reading ability tests. The data analysis technique is inferential statistical analysis of bivariate correlation type with the result of correlation coefficient 0.578 and significance value 0.008. The results of this study indicate that there is a moderate positive correlation between Mufrodat Mastery (Vocabulary) and Arabic Text Reading Ability. Thus it can be concluded that there is a correlation between Mufrodat Mastery (Vocabulary) and Arabic Text Reading Ability of 8th Grade Students of IT Al-Fikri Junior High School Makassar.

Abstract

This study is a type of Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the research subjects being the sixth-grade students of MI DDI Palirang, totaling 28 students. The aim of this study is to examine the planning, implementation, and learning outcomes of students in mastering Arabic vocabulary using the singing method. Data collection techniques used in this study include observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. The research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of two meetings. The results showed that the average vocabulary mastery score of students increased from 79 in the first cycle to 90 in the second cycle. This indicates an 11%-point improvement in students’ Arabic vocabulary mastery. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the singing method in learning can improve Arabic vocabulary mastery among sixth-grade students of MI DDI Palirang.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the representation of ideology and power in the film Gadis Kretek based on experiential values, relational values, and expressive values. This study is a qualitative study using Norman Fairclough's theory. The data sources in this study are all episodes in the film Gadis Kretek obtained from the online media Netflix. Data collection techniques include listening and note-taking techniques. The results of the study show that there are 24 data containing experiential values, which are dominated by ideological words that are fought for. This finding shows how the main characters in the film represent the social world and ideology through the choice of vocabulary and language structure. There are 22 data containing relational values, which are dominated by imperative words. This confirms that the power relations between characters are built through language structures that reflect social positions and authority. Furthermore, 19 data were found containing expressive values, which are dominated by positive and negative evaluations. This expressive value highlights how the characters in the film express emotional attitudes, resistance, or support for certain power structures and ideological values. These three values synergize to form a discourse that emphasizes emancipation, agency, and strong social criticism in the film. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan representasi ideologi dan kekuasaan dalam film Gadis Kretek berdasarkan nilai eksperiensial, nilai relasional, dan nilai ekspresif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan teori Norman Fairclough. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh episode dalam film Gadis Kretek yang diperoleh dari media daring Netflix. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi teknik simak dan catat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 24 data yang mengandung nilai eksperiensial, yang didominasi oleh kata-kata ideologis yang diperjuangkan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bagaimana tokoh-tokoh utama dalam film merepresentasikan dunia sosial dan ideologi melalui pilihan kosakata dan struktur bahasa. Terdapat 22 data yang mengandung nilai relasional, yang didominasi oleh kata perintah (imperatif). Hal ini menegaskan bahwa relasi kekuasaan antar tokoh dibangun melalui struktur bahasa yang mencerminkan posisi sosial dan otoritas. Selanjutnya, ditemukan 19 data yang mengandung nilai ekspresif, yang didominasi oleh evaluasi positif dan negatif. Nilai ekspresif ini menyoroti bagaimana tokoh-tokoh dalam film mengekspresikan sikap emosional, resistensi, atau dukungan terhadap struktur kekuasaan dan nilai-nilai ideologis tertentu. Ketiga nilai tersebut bersinergi membentuk wacana yang menegaskan emansipasi, agensi, dan kritik sosial yang kuat dalam film.

Abstract

This study investigates the development of mutual cooperation values among BI group children at RA Yabus through a project-based learning method centered on gardening activities. The background of the research highlights the lack of significant growth in cooperative behavior, attributed to the conventional use of group-based learning by teachers. The central research question explores how project-based methods can foster mutual cooperation in early childhood education. Employing a qualitative approach with classroom action research (CAR) design, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using descriptive qualitative techniques. The findings indicate a marked improvement in mutual cooperation values among the children. In the pre-research and first cycle, 1% of children were at the 'not yet developing' (BB) stage, while 99% were at the 'beginning to develop' (MB) stage, with no children reaching the 'expected development' (BSH) or 'very well developed' (BSB) levels. By the second cycle, outcomes significantly shifted, with 20% reaching BSH and 80% achieving BSB. These results demonstrate that project-based methods, particularly gardening activities, effectively cultivate the value of mutual cooperation in early childhood settings.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and assess Project-Based Learning (PJBL)-based student worksheets (LKPD) on computer network materials at SMA Muhammadiyah Rambah. The research utilized the research and development (R&D) method with the PLOMP model, which consists of three phases: preliminary research, prototype development, and assessment. In the preliminary research phase, data were collected through needs analysis, curriculum analysis, and student analysis. The prototype was validated by material and media experts and assessed for practicality by teachers and students. The results indicate that the PJBL-based LKPD is both valid and practical for use in learning. The media and material validation scores fell within the valid category, and the practicality assessment showed that teachers found the LKPD practical for classroom use. Furthermore, a significant increase in student comprehension was observed, with pretest and posttest scores rising from an average of 75.74 to 90.74, marking an improvement of 19.79%. Based on these findings, it is recommended that PJBL-based LKPD be implemented more broadly to enhance student understanding and engagement in various topics.

Abstract

Karawitan, sebagai representasi kekayaan musik tradisional Indonesia, memainkan peran penting dalam membentuk identitas budaya dan sosial masyarakat. Namun, di tengah arus modernisasi dan perubahan gaya hidup, praktik karawitan mengalami tantangan serius seperti menurunnya minat generasi muda dan berkurangnya regenerasi. Munculnya teknologi digital memberikan peluang baru untuk pelestarian seni ini melalui dokumentasi audio-visual, aplikasi pembelajaran interaktif, perangkat lunak notasi, serta teknologi imersif seperti Virtual Reality dan Augmented Reality. Teknologi ini tidak hanya meningkatkan aksesibilitas dan jangkauan global karawitan, tetapi juga memperkaya pengalaman belajar dan apresiasi terhadap nilai budaya. Di sisi lain, proses digitalisasi juga membawa risiko, seperti penyederhanaan bentuk, komersialisasi berlebihan, serta keterputusan antara karya dan konteks budaya aslinya. Hal ini dapat mengaburkan makna filosofis dan nilai-nilai spiritual yang terkandung dalam karawitan. Oleh karena itu, pelestarian karawitan melalui teknologi digital memerlukan pendekatan kuratorial dan pedagogis yang peka budaya. Kesimpulannya, teknologi digital dapat menjadi jembatan penting dalam revitalisasi karawitan, asalkan diimbangi dengan kepekaan terhadap esensi tradisi. Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the PASPOR learning model in improving students' mathematical communication skills compared to the Think-Talk-Write (TTW) model. Method: A quasi-experimental design was employed, involving two groups of PGSD students at Universitas Rokania: an experimental group taught using the PASPOR model and a control group taught using the TTW model. Data on mathematical communication skills were collected through pretests and posttests, and analyzed using normality, homogeneity, independent-sample t-tests, N-Gain calculations, and effect size, with the aid of SPSS 26. Findings: The findings indicate that students who learned with the PASPOR model showed a substantial improvement in their mathematical communication skills compared to those who experienced the TTW model. The enhancement was characterized by more active participation in collaborative learning, deeper engagement in discussion, and greater ability to express and reflect on mathematical ideas. Significance: The study highlights that the PASPOR learning model can serve as an effective and strategic alternative in mathematics education for developing students’ mathematical communication skills. This model not only fosters deeper conceptual understanding but also encourages critical thinking, teamwork, and effective communication, providing valuable insights for educators seeking to enhance mathematics instruction at various educational levels.

Abstract

Background: Mathematical communication is a key skill for preservice primary school teachers, enabling them to effectively facilitate understanding in the classroom. Despite its importance, many students in teacher education programs struggle to convey mathematical concepts clearly in both verbal and symbolic forms.Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the theoretical validity of the PASPOR Model—comprising Pairing, Square, Presentation, and Repetition—as an instructional framework designed to enhance mathematical communication in preservice teacher education.Method: A development research approach was applied, based on the Plomp model. Expert validation focused on five core components: syntax, social system, reaction principle, support system, and instructional impact. Data were collected using structured instruments completed by mathematics education experts and analyzed through both quantitative and qualitative techniques.Result: The findings demonstrated high theoretical validity for the PASPOR Model. Expert ratings ranged from 3.68 to 3.97, with reliability coefficients exceeding 0.90 across all components. Experts affirmed the model’s internal consistency, pedagogical relevance, and effectiveness in promoting structured, collaborative mathematical communication among learners.Conclusion: The PASPOR Model is a theoretically sound and pedagogically appropriate instructional model for improving mathematical communication in preservice teacher education. Its structured stages support cooperative learning and reflective interaction. The strong expert agreement endorses its integration into teacher education curricula and provides a foundation for future empirical studies to assess its practical application and adaptability in various learning contexts, including digital platforms.
