Abstract

This study is a type of Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the research subjects being the sixth-grade students of MI DDI Palirang, totaling 28 students. The aim of this study is to examine the planning, implementation, and learning outcomes of students in mastering Arabic vocabulary using the singing method. Data collection techniques used in this study include observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. The research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of two meetings. The results showed that the average vocabulary mastery score of students increased from 79 in the first cycle to 90 in the second cycle. This indicates an 11%-point improvement in students’ Arabic vocabulary mastery. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the singing method in learning can improve Arabic vocabulary mastery among sixth-grade students of MI DDI Palirang.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the representation of ideology and power in the film Gadis Kretek based on experiential values, relational values, and expressive values. This study is a qualitative study using Norman Fairclough's theory. The data sources in this study are all episodes in the film Gadis Kretek obtained from the online media Netflix. Data collection techniques include listening and note-taking techniques. The results of the study show that there are 24 data containing experiential values, which are dominated by ideological words that are fought for. This finding shows how the main characters in the film represent the social world and ideology through the choice of vocabulary and language structure. There are 22 data containing relational values, which are dominated by imperative words. This confirms that the power relations between characters are built through language structures that reflect social positions and authority. Furthermore, 19 data were found containing expressive values, which are dominated by positive and negative evaluations. This expressive value highlights how the characters in the film express emotional attitudes, resistance, or support for certain power structures and ideological values. These three values synergize to form a discourse that emphasizes emancipation, agency, and strong social criticism in the film. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan representasi ideologi dan kekuasaan dalam film Gadis Kretek berdasarkan nilai eksperiensial, nilai relasional, dan nilai ekspresif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan teori Norman Fairclough. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh episode dalam film Gadis Kretek yang diperoleh dari media daring Netflix. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi teknik simak dan catat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 24 data yang mengandung nilai eksperiensial, yang didominasi oleh kata-kata ideologis yang diperjuangkan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bagaimana tokoh-tokoh utama dalam film merepresentasikan dunia sosial dan ideologi melalui pilihan kosakata dan struktur bahasa. Terdapat 22 data yang mengandung nilai relasional, yang didominasi oleh kata perintah (imperatif). Hal ini menegaskan bahwa relasi kekuasaan antar tokoh dibangun melalui struktur bahasa yang mencerminkan posisi sosial dan otoritas. Selanjutnya, ditemukan 19 data yang mengandung nilai ekspresif, yang didominasi oleh evaluasi positif dan negatif. Nilai ekspresif ini menyoroti bagaimana tokoh-tokoh dalam film mengekspresikan sikap emosional, resistensi, atau dukungan terhadap struktur kekuasaan dan nilai-nilai ideologis tertentu. Ketiga nilai tersebut bersinergi membentuk wacana yang menegaskan emansipasi, agensi, dan kritik sosial yang kuat dalam film.

Abstract

This study investigates the development of mutual cooperation values among BI group children at RA Yabus through a project-based learning method centered on gardening activities. The background of the research highlights the lack of significant growth in cooperative behavior, attributed to the conventional use of group-based learning by teachers. The central research question explores how project-based methods can foster mutual cooperation in early childhood education. Employing a qualitative approach with classroom action research (CAR) design, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using descriptive qualitative techniques. The findings indicate a marked improvement in mutual cooperation values among the children. In the pre-research and first cycle, 1% of children were at the 'not yet developing' (BB) stage, while 99% were at the 'beginning to develop' (MB) stage, with no children reaching the 'expected development' (BSH) or 'very well developed' (BSB) levels. By the second cycle, outcomes significantly shifted, with 20% reaching BSH and 80% achieving BSB. These results demonstrate that project-based methods, particularly gardening activities, effectively cultivate the value of mutual cooperation in early childhood settings.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and assess Project-Based Learning (PJBL)-based student worksheets (LKPD) on computer network materials at SMA Muhammadiyah Rambah. The research utilized the research and development (R&D) method with the PLOMP model, which consists of three phases: preliminary research, prototype development, and assessment. In the preliminary research phase, data were collected through needs analysis, curriculum analysis, and student analysis. The prototype was validated by material and media experts and assessed for practicality by teachers and students. The results indicate that the PJBL-based LKPD is both valid and practical for use in learning. The media and material validation scores fell within the valid category, and the practicality assessment showed that teachers found the LKPD practical for classroom use. Furthermore, a significant increase in student comprehension was observed, with pretest and posttest scores rising from an average of 75.74 to 90.74, marking an improvement of 19.79%. Based on these findings, it is recommended that PJBL-based LKPD be implemented more broadly to enhance student understanding and engagement in various topics.

Abstract

Karawitan, sebagai representasi kekayaan musik tradisional Indonesia, memainkan peran penting dalam membentuk identitas budaya dan sosial masyarakat. Namun, di tengah arus modernisasi dan perubahan gaya hidup, praktik karawitan mengalami tantangan serius seperti menurunnya minat generasi muda dan berkurangnya regenerasi. Munculnya teknologi digital memberikan peluang baru untuk pelestarian seni ini melalui dokumentasi audio-visual, aplikasi pembelajaran interaktif, perangkat lunak notasi, serta teknologi imersif seperti Virtual Reality dan Augmented Reality. Teknologi ini tidak hanya meningkatkan aksesibilitas dan jangkauan global karawitan, tetapi juga memperkaya pengalaman belajar dan apresiasi terhadap nilai budaya. Di sisi lain, proses digitalisasi juga membawa risiko, seperti penyederhanaan bentuk, komersialisasi berlebihan, serta keterputusan antara karya dan konteks budaya aslinya. Hal ini dapat mengaburkan makna filosofis dan nilai-nilai spiritual yang terkandung dalam karawitan. Oleh karena itu, pelestarian karawitan melalui teknologi digital memerlukan pendekatan kuratorial dan pedagogis yang peka budaya. Kesimpulannya, teknologi digital dapat menjadi jembatan penting dalam revitalisasi karawitan, asalkan diimbangi dengan kepekaan terhadap esensi tradisi. Dengan pendekatan yang seimbang antara inovasi dan nilai budaya, karawitan dapat tetap hidup, relevan, dan bermakna di era modern.Kata kunci: Inovasi tradisional, Karawitan, Pelestarian budaya teknologi digital, Pendidikan budaya

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the PASPOR learning model in improving students' mathematical communication skills compared to the Think-Talk-Write (TTW) model. Method: A quasi-experimental design was employed, involving two groups of PGSD students at Universitas Rokania: an experimental group taught using the PASPOR model and a control group taught using the TTW model. Data on mathematical communication skills were collected through pretests and posttests, and analyzed using normality, homogeneity, independent-sample t-tests, N-Gain calculations, and effect size, with the aid of SPSS 26. Findings: The findings indicate that students who learned with the PASPOR model showed a substantial improvement in their mathematical communication skills compared to those who experienced the TTW model. The enhancement was characterized by more active participation in collaborative learning, deeper engagement in discussion, and greater ability to express and reflect on mathematical ideas. Significance: The study highlights that the PASPOR learning model can serve as an effective and strategic alternative in mathematics education for developing students’ mathematical communication skills. This model not only fosters deeper conceptual understanding but also encourages critical thinking, teamwork, and effective communication, providing valuable insights for educators seeking to enhance mathematics instruction at various educational levels.

Abstract

In the industrial world or what we could call the modern world, it is not only factories or companies that are developing but also MSMEs. MSMEs are enterprises or businesses carried out by individuals, groups, small business entities, or households. Indonesia as a developing country makes MSMEs the main foundation of the community's economic sector, this is done to encourage the ability to be independent in development in society, especially in the economic sector. This MSME has also implemented technology in its business processes. In technological advances, society is required to be able to apply technology, especially the internet, such as electronic market share, e- market ethics, and e-market advertising. The core subjects of e-market advertising are product photography and product design. Because technology has developed nowadays, all the above processes can be done through it. This training is specifically designed for this purpose, namely to develop the skills of the MSME community in smartphone product photography and how to package their products so that they can compete and win the competition in the electronics market. This training was quite successful as shown by the enthusiasm of the training participants and resulted in some very good product photography. The result of this training is that more and more SME practitioners are going online and promoting their products in mass media.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of using Quizlet as an evaluation tool on students' computational thinking abilities at SMAN 1 Rambah. A quantitative method with a one-group pretest-posttest design was employed, involving 36 students from class X-A selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using computational thinking tests administered before and after the intervention. The results showed a notable increase in students' average scores, from 64.58 in the pre-test to 78.33 in the post-test. A paired sample t-test confirmed a statistically significant difference with a p-value of 0.000 0.05, indicating that Quizlet significantly enhances students' skills in decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithm design. These findings highlight Quizlet’s potential not only as a language learning platform but also as an effective medium for developing computational thinking in secondary education.

Abstract

Program Pesona Paya Nie merupakan bentuk inovasi sosial PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda (PIM) yang dilaksanakan di Desa Blang Mee, wilayah Ring 1 perusahaan. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dirancang untuk menjawab tantangan menurunnya produktivitas pertanian, degradasi ekosistem rawa, serta keterbatasan sumber pendapatan alternatif masyarakat. Melalui pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR), program mengintegrasikan sosialisasi, pelatihan, pendampingan, hingga evaluasi berbasis Social Return on Investment (SROI). Implementasi dilakukan melalui lima inovasi utama: (1) Anyam Purun untuk pemanfaatan purun rawa menjadi kerajinan dan kompos, (2) Gabus sebagai budidaya ikan ramah lingkungan berbasis bioflok, (3) Ekoduwisata Paya Nie yang mengembangkan wisata edukasi konservasi, (4) Gemilang sebagai pengelolaan limbah organik melalui biodigester, dan (5) Integrasi Pertanian dengan inovasi irigasi serta pupuk cair multinutrisi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pendapatan kelompok tani, UMKM, dan Pokdarwis, penguatan kapasitas kelembagaan lokal, serta konservasi lingkungan melalui pengurangan emisi dan pemulihan rawa. Kolaborasi antara perusahaan, akademisi Universitas Malikussaleh, dan masyarakat terbukti menciptakan ekosistem inovasi yang berkelanjutan. Dengan demikian, Pesona Paya Nie menjadi model pengabdian masyarakat yang inklusif, replikatif, dan mendukung agenda pembangunan desa berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form and function of figurative language styles of metaphor and hyperbole in the novel Laskar Pelangi by Andrea Hirata through a stylistic approach. The background of this study is the lack of research that specifically discusses the role of figurative language styles in a stylistic perspective. The research method uses qualitative descriptive with stylistic analysis techniques according to Leech & Short, including identification, classification, and interpretation of aesthetic functions and linguistic meanings. The results show that metaphors in this novel are used to build character traits, describe social struggles, and convey criticism in a subtle but sharp manner. Meanwhile, hyperbole is used to express emotional intensity, strengthen dramatic nuances, and highlight the passion and dreams of the main character. These two styles of language have significant stylistic functions in creating foregrounding effects, strengthening aesthetic power, and deepening moral and social messages in the narrative. These findings emphasize the importance of metaphor and hyperbole as stylistic strategies in enriching literary expression and shaping Andrea Hirata's writing style identity. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan bentuk dan fungsi gaya bahasa metafora dan hiperbola dalam novel Laskar Pelangi karya Andrea Hirata melalui pendekatan stilistika. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah minimnya penelitian yang secara khusus membahas peran gaya bahasa figuratif dalam perspektif stilistika. Metode penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis stilistika menurut Leech & Short, meliputi identifikasi, klasifikasi, dan interpretasi fungsi estetik serta makna kebahasaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metafora dalam novel ini digunakan untuk membangun karakter tokoh, menggambarkan perjuangan sosial, dan menyampaikan kritik secara halus namun tajam. Sementara itu, hiperbola digunakan untuk mengekspresikan intensitas emosi, memperkuat nuansa dramatik, dan menonjolkan semangat serta impian tokoh utama. Kedua gaya bahasa ini memiliki fungsi stilistik yang signifikan dalam menciptakan efek foregrounding, memperkuat daya estetika, serta memperdalam pesan moral dan sosial dalam narasi. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya metafora dan hiperbola sebagai strategi stilistika dalam memperkaya ekspresi sastra dan membentuk identitas gaya penulisan Andrea Hirata.
