Abstract

Research in class V SDN Sukahati background on the lack of understanding of students on the material, and the implementation of less learning to arouse students' interest to learn. Efforts to fix the problem by applying the Discovery learning model. The problem is corrected through Classroom Action Research (PTK) with research design model Kemmis and Taggart. Instruments used include teacher performance observation sheets, student activities, student learning outcomes, interview guides, and field notes. This study was completed in three cycles. The data obtained in the planning cycle 84%, 92.2% cycle II, and 100% cycle III. At the implementation of 83% cycle I, 90.5% cycle II, and 100% cycle III. Furthermore student activity in cycle I 62,14%, cycle II 86,9%, and at cycle III 90,2%. Then the result of study from 34 students, on cycle I as many as 17 students (50%) complete, cycle II 28 students (82,4%), and cycle III 31 student (91,2%). Thus, the Discovery learning model can improve student learning outcomes

Abstract

Vocal learning implementation should create learning process actively, creatively utilizing existing learning resources. Supported competencies teachers who are esperts in their field to study vocal. The condition of the school shows have used method to increaselearning solfegio vocals. Therefore the research needs to be done to get to know the process of learning the vocals. Objective to describe the process of use of methods of learning to solfegio vocals. A descriptive qualitative research methods with steps planning, implementation, observation, data processing and reflection, with the subject of research grade Va SDN Lebakwangi 01 Nagreg, and implementation timein half the space of 2016/2017. Data collection by observation, interviews, field notes and documentation. From the results of the use of research methods can improvevoal skills solfegio students. Recomemendation from the results of this study is throught use of vocal learning in solfegio method can be applied the primary to grade V.

Abstract

Keterampilan berpikir kritis sangat penting untuk menentukan keputusan dalam memecahkan masalah. Untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa, digunakan model PBL pada materi daur air. Metode penelitian yang dipakai yaitu metode eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi penelitian yaitu siswa kelas V di SD berkategori unggul berdasarkan rata-rata nilai UN IPA di Kec. Sumedang Selatan, serta sampel penelitian yaitu SDN Pasanggrahan II sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan SDN Pasanggrahan III sebagai kelompok kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri dari instrumen tes yaitu tes keterampilan berpikir kritis bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis, serta instrumen nontes berupa format observasi, jurnal harian siswa, catatan lapangan dan wawancara. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian yaitu pembelajaran model PBL dan konvensional sama-sama meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis tetapi pembelajaran model PBL lebih baik secara signifikan. Secara umum respon positif diberikan siswa terhadap pembelajaran model PBL.

Abstract

One of purpose from this research is to know that course review horay (CRH) approach be better than conventional approach in an attempt increase of mathematical understanding and student’s motivation to learn math significanly. With the result that do use randomized control prettest posstest group desain of experiment research. The population are all elementary school in Sumedang Utara which one superior group, while the samples are SDN Rancapurut as experiment group and SDN Panyingkiran III as control group. The result of this research with P-Value is 5% (α = 0,05) known that CRH approach increases student’ mathematical understanding and motivation to learn math significanly. The other result is that CRH approach be better than conventional approach in an attempt increases of mathematical understanding and student’s motivation to learn math. That is seem of bigh positif responses from the student. Keyword: Course Review Horay (CRH) Approach, Mathematical Understanding, Motivation.

Abstract

AbstrakData awal penelitian menunjukan masih adanya permasalahan pada proses pembelajaran menulis karangan di kelas IVA SDN Sindangraja yang berdampak pada rendahnya keterampilan siswa dalam menulis karangan dengan penggunaan ejaan yang benar. Untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan proses pembelajaran dan hasil belajar siswa dalam menulis karangan peneliti memilih menerapkan metode picture and picture dan permainan jelajah EYD sebagai solusi. Di dalam penelitian ini desain yang di gunakan adalah desain Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) Kemmis dan Tagart. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan dengan menerapkan metode picture dan picture dan permainan jelajah EYD untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis karangan menunjukan adanya peningkatan. Pada siklus I siswa yang berhasil tuntas pada keterampilan menulis karangan sebesar 55,88%, siklus II sebesar 79,41%, dan siklus III mencapai persentase 91,17%. Hal tersebut membuktikan bahwa metode picture and picture dan permainan jelajah EYD dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis karangan.Kata Kunci: menulis karangan, picture and picture, permainan jelajah EYD.

Abstract

Perkembangan IPTEK menuntut seseorang untuk memiliki motivasi serta kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi.Untuk meningkatkan kemampuan tersebut, dipilih pembelajaran matematika menggunakan pendekatan kontekstual dengan fokus pada materi bilangan bulat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi yang digunakan yaitu seluruh siswa kelas IV SD kelompok papak se-Kecamatan Sumedang Utara dengan sampel SDN Bendungan II sebagai kelas eksperimen dan SDN Margamulya sebagai kelas kontrol.Pada penelitian ini diperoleh beberapa simpulan yaitu: 1) pendekatan kontekstual maupun pendekatan konvensional dapat meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa secara signifikan, 2) pendekatan kontekstual lebih baik secara signifikan dibandingkan dengan pendekatan konvensional dalam meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa, 3) pendekatan kontekstual maupun pendekatan konvensional dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa secara signifikan, 4) pendekatan kontekstual lebih baik secara signifikan dibandingkan dengan pendekatan konvensional dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa, dan 5) secara umum siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap pembelajaran, baik dengan pendekatan kontekstual maupun konvensional.Kata Kunci: Pendekatan Kontekstual, Kemampuan Koneksi Matematis, Motivasi Belajar Siswa, Bilangan Bulats

Abstract

The research intend to know the sience literacy skill improvement of students with problem-based learning on high level, medium level, and low level. Methodology of research be used is pre-experiment with design (the one group pretestt-posttest design). The research is accomplishe at SDN Cimalaka, SDN Cibereum III and SDN Palasah. The instrument used in this research is by the science literation skill of science test with pretestt and posttest on each high, medium, and low levels, teacher’s achievement observation sheet, student activeness observation, and science attitude scale questionnaire. The research show that the problem-based learning could improve the science literacy skill of students in all levels, and it is proved by the result of mean difference test on high level measured 0.000, on medium level measured 0.000, and low level measured 0.001. It is mean that the learning method could improve the science literation skill of students in all levels

Abstract

This article aims at analyzing a vocal contest of a traditional musical art genre namely Tembang Sunda Cianjuran (Cianjur Sundanese Traditional Song) in West Java, Indonesia. The contest, also known by the term PTSC DAMAS, had been held continuously since 1962 by youth social organization called DAMAS (Daya Mahasiswa Sunda). The study was conducted using qualitative approach. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted by using an interactive model. The results show that PTSC DAMAS has greatly affected the preservation and development of the Tembang Sunda Cianjuran, not only in the music accompaniment but also vocal aspects. Various parties has been very supportive of PTSC DAMAS, thus the contest can be carried out consistently.

Abstract

Prospective primary school teachers had low skill in playing gamelan degung (Indonesian Gamelan). To improve skills in playing gamelan degung correctly, prospective primary school teachers need to be taught techniques of ringing, muffling (menengkep), and memorizing the compositions. Therefore, this research seeks to improve students in playing gamelan degung. The action research report presented in this article exemplified the work of the involved collaborative team in making reflective-critical steps to change the students’ ability from their initial state of being unable to play gamelan degung properly to be able to play gamelan composition properly. The results of the action had shown changes in the ability of students in playing gamelan degung with 97.6% skill change level of the students and 57.15% success rate of students improving from the inept category to the adept category in playing gamelan degung. As a result, the skills of prospective primary school teachers in playing gamelan degung can be improved through some development steps in action research.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the professional competence of elementary school teachers certified in Sumedang district. The study was conducted in the form of a survey in urban areas Sumedang district with a population of 592 elementary school teachers and 60 teachers certified as research samples. Total Respondents are 180 people consisting of 60 persons certified elementary school teachers, 60 peers who have not been certified, and 60 principals who captured data through questionnaires. Data were processed and analyzed with the rating scale measurement techniques and SPSS 16, and obtained the following results: 1) rating scale analysis results indicate that the professional competence of certified teachers in the Sumedang district, four aspects are in the 'ENOUGH' category and one aspect is in the 'LESS' category, and 2) the results of the attitude scale analysis using SPSS 16 shows that the professional competence of certified teachers in the Sumedang district are in 'GOOD' category, but this condition is far from the 'PROFESSIONAL' category.Keywords: competence, professional, teacher, certificated, sumedang.
