Abstract

The low sensitivity tones of students in elementary school is still a problem, especially in creating a sense of music. This study aims to determine the effect of the Dalcroze method through the Meludia Melody-Ear Training of sensitivity tones and differences with conventional learning; and to find students' responses to learning Dalcroze method through the Meludia Melody-Ear Training. The research design used was quasi-experiment with nonequivalent control group design. The subjects of this study were 2 rows in class IV at one of the primary schools in Cimanggung Subdistrict, Sumedang. The results showed that learning Dalcroze method through the Meludia Melody-Ear Training had a positive influence on sensitivity tones and 17% better than of conventional learning, and there was a positive response from students to learning Dalcroze method through the Meludia Melody-Ear Training. The conclusion is the Dalcroze method through the Meludia Melody-Ear Training can help improve sensitivity tones skills.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan koneksi dan komunikasi matematis siswa setelah mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan RME; serta perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan koneksi dan komunikasi matematis antara siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan RME dengan siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran konvensional. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian eksperimen dengan pretest-posttest control group design. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas IV SDN Ketib sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas IVA SDN Sindangraja sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu soal tes kemampuan koneksi dan komunikasi matematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis di kelas eksperimen termasuk ke dalam kriteria tinggi, sedangkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis termasuk ke dalam kriteria sedang; serta perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan koneksi dan komunikasi matematis siswa di kedua kelas menunjukkan, pendekatan RME lebih baik daripada pembelajaran konvensional dalam meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematis, dan pembelajaran konvensional lebih baik daripada pendekatan RME dalam meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis.

Abstract

Music art learning in understanding the solmisation notation in elementary schools still have many difficulties. Understanding the song solmisation notation is very important to learn especially in playing musical instruments. Difficulty understanding the notation can be solved using the Kodaly method of hand signing technique. The research method uses the experimental quasi method as well as the design of non-equivalent control group design research.  This research was conducted in one of the primary schools in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia with a total subject of 68 students in two classes studying in the fourth grade with a range of 9-10 years. The results showed that the increase in the experimental class averaged 39.70 to 51.67 and in the control class an average increase of the value of 38.23 to 45.58. This study showed an increase in the ability to understand song solmisation notation in experimental classes using the Kodaly method hand signing technique is better than the control class using conventional learning

Abstract

One of the problems that occurs today is the low ability of student’s singing accuracy. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in the increase in the student’s singing accuracy in the experimental class who did pitch-matching exercises with the control class that did conventional learning without pitch-matching exercises. The design of this study was quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The sample in this study were 30 students in the experimental class and 31 students in the control class. Based on the results of the study, the average value of students in the experimental class increased from 40 to 68.8, while in the control class the average value of students increased from 33.5 to 40. However, based on the results of statistical tests that there were differences in improvement which indicated an increase in class the experiment was higher than the control class.

Abstract

This study is an effort in improving the art music appreciation of 5th grader students on the subjects of art, culture and media skills through the application of angklung. Research conducted on this occasion is a class action that was conducted in two cycles. The subjects were all students of 5th grader SDN Inklusif Sariwangi Cijambe Subang totaling 44 students. Source of data derived from students, teachers, peers, and researchers. Data collection technique used observation, documentation, and tests. The validity of the data using expert opinion. Analysis of the data used by the analysis of qualitative and quantitative analysis. Obtaining data from this study are very useful to improve the competence of teachers in developing the skills to play angklung as a medium of art music appreciation students in Kabupaten Subang. The results showed that through the application of media angklung music can enhance art appreciation 5th grader students on the subjects of art, culture and skills of the first cycle and the second cycle.

Abstract

One of the problems in singing at elementary school is the skill students of stabilizing tempo, when the tempo becomes an important because it is one of the main elements in singing. Application metronome become alternative solution that teachers can use as learning media to stabilize singing tempo. The study aims to determine the difference in student skills to stabilize the singing tempo in experimental classes and control classes. The design of this research is a quasi-experimental with non-equivalent design control group. The samples on this study were 30 students of experimental class and 30 students of the control class. The results showed, the grades of students in the experimental class increased from 41.3 to 80.0, the grades of the students  control grade from 46 to 61.3. However, based on statistical results, there are differences in improvements that show higher experimental class upgrades than the control class.

Abstract

AbstractAmong the basic things that become difficult to recognize the concept of numbers due to the introduction of the concept of the number 1-10 for children aged 4-5 years is still not maximal so difficult to understand by children, thus requiring learning media in the form of multimedia learning. This study aims to produce multimedia design learning in recognizing the concept of numbers and to describe the results of children's learning in TK Global Maju Khatulistiwa. This research develops multimedia by using the development stage of Borg and Gall, with the subject of research is kindergarten A children amounting to 16 people. Stages of multimedia learning development that is done is research and information collecting, planing, Develop preliminary form of product, main field testing, operational product revision, and Final product revision. Data obtained through expert validation test, observation, interview, and documentary. Furthermore, data analysis of expert validation, observation, interview and documentation were performed. Result of research can give influence to result of learning, this matter seen from pretest that is before using multimedia average 4,98 which experienced difference of result posstest average equal to 8,68. The results of study can also be seen from the test results 2 paired samples showing the significance value of t statistics  >  t table (14.81 > 1.74) means that there is influence of learning results using multimedia learning in introducing the concept of numbers.Keywords: development, multimedia learning, concept number

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran yang jelas tentang penguasaan kosa kata dalam bhs.inggris siswa kelas XI IS 2 SMAN 1 B.Aceh,melalui cara belajar aktif dengan model permainan antara lain (a) untuk mengetahui tingkat kemampuan siswa terhadap kosa kata dalam bahasa Inggris pada siswa kelas XI IS 2 SMAN 1 B.Aceh melalui model permainan bahasa Inggris (b) untuk memperbaiki kosa kata siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 B.Aceh melalui cara belajar aktif dan interaktif dengan model permainan (c) untuk mengetahui output penguasaan siswa khususnya terhadap kosa kata bahasa Inggris siswa kelas XI IS 2 SMA Negeri 1 Banda Aceh melalui model permainan, Penelitian ini menggunakan tindakan kelas (Action Research) sebanyak dua putaran. Setiap putaran terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu : rancangan, kegiatan dan pengamatan, refleksi dan refisi. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah siswa SMAN 1 B.Aceh. Data yang diperoleh berupa hasil tes formatif, lembar observasi kegiatan belajar mengajar.Dari hasil analis didapatkan bahwa prestasi belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I sampai II yaitu, siklus I (25%), siklus II (35%),siklus III (40%) dan siklus IV (45%) Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah metode pembelajaran model permainan dapat berpengaruh positif terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas XI IS 1, serta model pembelajaran ini dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu alternative pembelajaran mata pelajaran bahasa Inggris.

Abstract

Several previous research have described transformational leadership as successful leadership that led higher education to implement changes for the better. However, a more comprehensive survey on the implementation of transformational leadership in higher education has not been conducted. This research aims at observing a transformational leadership style with the model 4I, namely idealized influence, intellectual stimulation, individual consideration, and inspirational motivation, which is applied to higher education comprehensively. A survey method with questionnaires taken from lecturers working at higher education in Indonesia was used in this research. The findings revealed that attention given to individuals and reducing penalty towards any mistakes by subordinates must be given more attention so that the application of complete combination between one dimension and other dimensions and each indicator of transformational leadership must be carried out. This research is expected to have implications for the effectiveness of higher education leadership, and be used as a reference by higher education leaders in choosing a leadership style.

Abstract

Beo’ adalah salah satu kepercayaan Suku Dayak Punan Aput yang yang masih melekat di kehidupan penganutnya hingga masa kini. Beo’ bagi Suku Dayak Punan dipercayai sebagai utusan dari Sang Pencipta utuk menyampaikan pesan atau pedoman baik dan buruk dalam beraktivitas. Beo’ mempunyai arti penting bagi kehidupan suku dayak Punan Aput. Suku Dayak Punan Aput memercayai bahwa Beo’ adalah sejenis burung yang dinamai Lagehek. Burung ini memberi tanda dengan suaranya tentang baik dan buruknya suatau kegiatan atau aktivitas yang akan dilakukan oleh Suku Dayak Punan Aput. Dari suara burung inilah masyarakat akan memutuskan akan melanjutkan atau menunda, bahkan menghentikan aktivitasnya. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan yang menerapkan analisis pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Tujuan pendekatan tersebut untuk mendeskripisikan secara sistematis tentang Beo’ yang merupakan suatu kepercayaan suku Dayak Punan Aput. Langkah selanjutnya adalah dengan menganalisis dengan tiga tahapan berupa reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan simpulan hasil penelitian. Analisis awal menggunakan teori religi dan folklor untuk mendapatkan pembahasan mengenai Beo’. Teori selanjutnya yang digunakan adalah mitos. Teori tersebut digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan mitos Beo’ suku Dayak Punan Aput. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mitos Beo’ suku Dayak Punan Aput memiliki arti yang sangat berpengaruh bagi kehidupan suku Dayak Punan Aput pada masa lampau hingga masa sekarang. Hal demikian dikarenakan suku Dayak Punan masih berpedoman kepada Beo’ sebagai simbol atas keberlangsungan aktivitas yang akan dilakukan.
