Abstract

AbstractMathematical literacy (ML) skill is important because the activities of everyday life are related to mathematics and require prompt and in-depth understanding. Therefore, this study aims to examine the ML skill of madrasah students in Indonesia both as a whole and based on the level of madrasah (MI, MTs, and MA). The sampling technique was then adopted Random Assignment, which obtained a total of 3,285 students from 26 regions in Indonesia. Furthermore, a qualitative descriptive method with a survey technique was used. The instrument used for the was the PISA design with an Islamic context in the form of a description. The results showed the ML skill of madrasah students in Indonesia has an average of 17.23%, with Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) having 6.39%, Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) with 20.01%, and Madrasah Aliyah (MA) with 25.29%. The low ML skill is because most of the students do not understand the context in the questions. The context in the assessment of this skill is important because it helps students to remember what they have learned, relate them to the problems, and offer a solution that fits the given context. Another cause is the lack of using problems that have the characters of PISA questions in the learning process. Therefore, the students are less trained in working on contextual questions and require high-level thinking.AbstrakKemampuan literasi matematis sangat penting karena kegiatan yang dilakukan manusia dalam kehidupan sehari-hari banyak sekali yang berkaitan dengan matematika dan memerlukan pemahaman literasi dalam penyelesaiannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kemampuan literasi matematis siswa madrasah di Indonesia baik secara keseluruhan maupun berdasarkan tingkat madrasah (MI, MTs, dan MA). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di 26 wilayah yang ada di Indonesia dengan teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah Random Assignment dan diperoleh sampel penelitian sebanyak 3285 siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik survey.  Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa instrumen tes kemampuan literasi matematis menggunakan desain PISA dengan konteks keislaman yang berbentuk uraian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi matematis siswa madrasah di Indonesia memiliki rata-rata 17, 23%. Kemampuan literasi matematis untuk siswa Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) sebesar 6,39%, untuk siswa Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) sebesar 20,01% dan untuk siswa Madrasah Aliyah (MA) sebesar 25,29%. Salah satu penyebab rendahnya kemampuan literasi matematis siswa madrasah di Indonesia dikarenakan kebanyakan siswa tidak memahami konteks dalam soal. Konteks dalam penilaian literasi matematis merupakan hal yang sangat penting, sebab konteks membawa pola pikir siswa untuk mengingat ulang konsep-konsep yang telah dipelajarinya, menghubungkan dengan permasalahan yang ada dalam konteks, kemudian memformulasikan suatu solusi yang sesuai dengan konteks yang diberikan. Penyebab lain adalah kurangnya penggunaan masalah yang memiliki karakter seperti soal PISA dalam proses pembelajaran sehingga siswa kurang terlatih dalam mengerjakan soal yang kontekstual dan menuntut untuk berpikir tingkat tinggi.  How to Cite: Kurniawati, L. Abstract

This research discusses the development of a statistical pocketbook integrated with Islamic values and culture to enhance students' understanding and appreciation of statistics within a cultural and religious context. This research aims to develop a statistical pocket book that meets valid criteria. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method. The development model used is ADDIE which consists of 5 development stages, namely: (1) analysis stage, (2) design stage, (3) development stage, (4) implementation stage, (5) evaluation stage. However, this development research only uses four stages, namely (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development and evaluation. This research was conducted at FTIK IAIN Manado. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires and tests. Instruments were a marketing/content expert validation sheet and a media/design expert questionnaire validation sheet. Based on the results of the questionnaire analysis, the results obtained were that the statistics pocket book integrated with Islamic values and culture met the valid criteria for use in statistics learning, seen from the assessment results for validation by content/material experts (85%) with very valid categories and media/design experts (91 %) is also in the very valid category, the average percentage of the practicality test is 91% in the very practical category. So, the Statistics pocketbook that has been developed is valid and practical for use in learning because it is integrated with Islamic values and culture.

Abstract

Pengetahuan dan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam bidang statistik perbankan syariah di IAIN Manado tergolong rendah, khususnya dalam pemahaman konsep dasar statistik dan kemampuan dalam menganalisis data. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, dilakukan kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa dalam menerapkan statistik perbankan syariah melalui workshop berbasis teknologi AI. Metode yang digunakan adalah pemberian materi pelatihan serta pendampingan mengenai konsep dasar statistik dan analisis data dengan menggunakan ChatGPT, yang diikuti oleh mahasiswa Program Studi Perbankan Syariah. Peserta kegiatan ini adalah 10 mahasiswa dari kelas Statistik Perbankan Syariah. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa setelah pelatihan, peserta menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dalam konsep dasar statistik dan analisis data. Mereka juga merasa lebih terbantu dalam mengerjakan tugas statistik dan merasa percaya diri menggunakan teknologi untuk menganalisis data. Manfaat yang diperoleh peserta antara lain pemahaman yang lebih baik dalam pengaplikasian statistik di dunia perbankan syariah, peningkatan keterampilan dalam menggunakan teknologi untuk analisis data, serta peningkatan efisiensi dalam pengerjaan tugas statistik. Kegiatan ini berhasil memberikan kontribusi dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan statistik di Program Studi Perbankan Syariah di IAIN Manado.

Abstract

The development and desirability of a business and economic activity is highly dependent on effective financial management, which aims to maximize the value of research through strategic decision making. The transformation of PT Air Minum Sanggam Balangan from a Regionally Owned Enterprise (BUMD) to a limited liability company in 2023 through Balangan Regency Regional Regulation (PERDA) Number 1 of 2023 has brought significant changes to the company's operations and financial management. As companies navigate this transition, providing a comprehensive understanding of financial management and accounting practices will be critical to ensuring long-term desirability and success. Activities are carried out in three stages, namely initial survey, implementation and evaluation. This service takes a consultative and collaborative learning approach. The evaluation results after partner activities receive assistance, partners are able to understand and make better financial planning, manage cash more effectively, analyze financial performance, choose the right investment, manage loans and debts, manage assets and depreciation, and manage better financial risks.

Abstract

This study seeks to investigate the effects of extrinsic motivation and competence on staff performance and their combined influence in a hospital in Bandung. The employed research method is both descriptive and verificative. The study population comprises staff at a hospital in Bandung, with a sample size of 55 respondents determined using Slovin's algorithm. Data collection was executed via questionnaires, and data analysis was carried out using route analysis with the aid of SPSS 17 for Windows. Statistical analysis revealed that extrinsic motivation exerts a direct influence of 17.7%, an indirect effect via competence of 11.8%, and a cumulative effect of 29.5%. The competence variable exerts a direct influence of 31.2%, an indirect effect via extrinsic motivation of 11.8%, and a cumulative effect of 43%. The coefficient of determination (R²), represented as a percentage, signifies that the combined influence of all independent variables—extrinsic drive and competence—on the performance variable is 0.726 or 72.6%. Additionally, additional unexamined elements affecting performance are indicated by the value ɛ = 0.274 or 27.4%. Consequently, it may be inferred that extrinsic incentives and competence substantially influence staff performance at a hospital in Bandung.  This research indicates that hospital management should prioritize boosting extrinsic motivation and cultivating employee competencies to elevate overall performance. The hospital may cultivate a more productive work atmosphere by employing tactics that promote motivation, such as recognition programs and professional development opportunities, resulting in improved patient care outcomes.

Abstract

Government assistance has been deployed to help food crop farmers enhance their yields. However, to our knowledge, studies assessing the impact of government assistance on food crop yield using a dedicated nationwide survey in the context of Indonesia are not available yet. Thus, our study aims to contribute to the literature by assessing the impact of government assistance (fertilizers, seeds, and agricultural tools and machinery) on food crops yield using the results of the 2018 and 2021 Crop Cutting Survey conducted by BPS. By applying multinomial logistic regression, we found that the fertilizers and seeds assistance significantly lower the chance of food crop farmers experiencing lower yield, provided that the distribution is on-time and suitable with the need of farmers. In contrast, our findings indicate that the benefit of tools and machinery assistance in enhancing food crop yield has not been optimized. The study recommends a more targeted distribution of tools and machinery assistance by taking into account farmers’ needs, cultivation characteristics, and support for the maintenance and management.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an atomic structure module integrated with Islamic values ​​with the help of Quick Response (QR)-Code to improve students' chemical literacy skills. This research departs from the problem that there are not many chemistry teaching materials that are integrated with Islamic values. This research is Research and Development (R & D) with a combination design of Defining, Designing, Developing, Dissemination (4D) and Four Steps Teaching Material Development (4 STMD). Data collection uses tests, questionnaires, and documents. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study revealed that: 1) The feasibility of the material was declared valid (100%) based on expert judgment. Concept understanding is 84% ​​or high category. 2) The resulting module has a feasibility percentage from the results of expert validation of 91.87% 3) There is an increase in students' chemical literacy skills between the pre-test and post-test (t = -3.033; df = 34; p = 0.005). 4) Student response to the use of the atomic chemistry integration module and Islamic values ​​is 89.69% or very good. The results of this study are that the developed module has eligibility in terms of validity and practicality so that it can be implemented to improve students' chemical literacy abilities.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study was to analyse the effect of mathematics learning intervention on students' mathematical thinking ability. The research method used survey of thesis of the student. The effect of studies applying learning to mathematical thinking was done using meta-analysis techniques. The research finding that research conducted by students by providing learning intervention was able to improve students' mathematical thinking ability. Aspects of mathematical thinking ability include connection ability, communication, representation, problem-solving, logical, critical, creative, analytical, generalization, quantitative, and adaptive thinking. The types of research used by students are dominated by the experiment with mix-method approach and classroom action research. Other methods, research development. The research and publication at the Department of Mathematics Education, Faculty of Educational Sciences have adapted to the trend of mathematics education research on the national and international level. Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis efektivitas pengaruh intervensi pembelajaran matematika terhadap kemampuan berpikir matematis siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei terhadap skripsi dan publikasi mahasiswa. Pengaruh  penelitian-penelitian yang menerapkan pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan berpikir matematis dianalisis dengan teknik meta-analisis. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa secara keseluruhan penelitian-penelitian yang dilakukan mahasiswa dengan memberikan intervensi pembelajaran ternyata mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir matematis siswa. Aspek kemampuan berpikir matematika yang meliputi: kemampuan koneksi, komunikasi, representasi, pemecahan masalah, kemampuan berpikir: logis, kritis, kreatif, reflektif, intuitif, penalaran: analalogi, generalisasi, kuantitatif, kreatif, dan adaptif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan mahasiswa didominasi metode eksperimen dengan pendekatan mix-method dan penelitian tindakan kelas. Disamping itu terdapat beberapa mahasiswa  memilih metode penelitian pengembangan. Hasil penelitian dan publikasi pada Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika telah menyesuaikan dengan tren penelitian pendidikan pendidikan matematika baik pada level nasional maupun internasional. How to Cite : Kadir. Supervisor II: Dr. Sarwani, Drs, Ec, M.Si, Ak, CA, CPA. The purpose of this study is to examine several factors that affect managerial performance. Some of the factors tested and analyzed are budget participation, motivation, and competence at Datu Kandang Haji Hospital. The sample used in this study were managers at Datu Kandang Haji Hospital. The sample selection method uses the saturated sampling method (census), which is a sampling technique if all members of the population are used as samples. The number of managers sampled in this study were 33 managers. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis using the SPSS version 25 program. The results showed that budget participation has a positive effect on managerial performance. Motivation and competence have no effect on managerial performance at Datu Kandang Haji Hospital.

Abstract

The study was conducted in SMU in Jakarta. There were 120 first grade students as the sample of the study, selected through multistage random sampling. The data were gathered by using a metacognition scale. Data analysis was done by using the two-way analysis of variance. The results of the study are: (1) In general, problem-based performance assessment effects students’ metacognition in mathematics, (2) Learning models affect the students’ metacognition in mathematics; in which the cooperative learning model is more effective in improving the students’ metacognition than the classical learning model, (3) There is an interaction effect between problem-based performance assessment and instructional models. Such interaction show that problem solving performance assessment is more effective in improving students’ metacognition in mathematics if it is combined with cooperative learning model; while problem posing performance assessment is more effective if it is combined with classical learning model.
