In the agricultural sector, children may be involved in hazardous work that requires physical labor and long hours. Our study used SAKERNAS’s data conducted in August 2022 to examine the effect of both household heads’ and children’s sociodemographic characteristics on the child probability working in agricultural hazardous jobs. Our study confirms the importance of household heads' level in preventing children from working in agriculture and/engaging in hazardous job activities. The results of multinomial logistic regression using marginal effects pointed out that the education level of household heads have a positive impact on reducing the likelihood of child labor in agriculture and engagement of children in hazardous agricultural jobs. We also found the probability of children being child labour in agriculture and get involved in hazardous jobs is larger in female-head household compared to male-head household. In addition, increasing educational participation among children can also reduce the likelihood of child labor.

Indonesia faces a challenge to narrow the paddy yield gap between Jawa dan outside Jawa to boost national yield. It requires an understanding of the main causes of the gap. Our study aims to estimate the paddy yield gap between paddy farmers in two regions and then decompose it to identify the main contributors in explaining the gap. We estimated that the average yield of farmers outside Java is about 32 percent lower than their counterparts in Java Island. The decomposition results pointed out that the difference in characteristics only has a small contribution to the total gap. The gap happens along the data distribution, in which the gap tends to be wider in the lower part of the distribution. Our findings indicate that the gap is mainly caused by the differences in environmental factors and their interaction with farmers' characteristics. So, it needs complex socio-ecological approaches to address.

Our study aims to confirm the gender yield gap in the context of paddy cultivation in Indonesia by estimating the gap between female and male farmers and decomposing it to identify the explained contributing factors. Using the results of the SUTAS, we found that female farmers’ yield is lower by about 2.3 percent on average than their male counterparts. Decomposition results of Blinder-Oaxaca and Counterfactual Distribution pointed out that most of the gap can be explained by the difference in characteristics between the two groups, particularly in educational attainment and mechanization adoption, in which female farmers lag behind. We found that the gap tends to be wider at the bottom of yield distribution. Our findings suggest, improving female farmers' education and their technology adoption are key to covering the gap. However, a substantial proportion of the unexplained gap could be an indication that there is negative discrimination against female farmers.

This study aims to (1) examine and analyze the effect of corporate social responsibility (CSR) on earnings response coefficient (ERC); (2) examine and analyze the effect of firm size on ERC; (3) examine and analyze the effect of capital structure on ERC; (4) testing and analyzing the effect of profitability on ERC. The sample data in this study were selected using the nonprobability sampling method with the sampling technique in the form of purposive sampling so that there were 22 manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange that met the criteria. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression on SPSS. The results of this study indicate that corporate social responsibility has no effect on earning response coefficient. Firm size and profitability show a positive influence on the earning response coefficient. Meanwhile, the capital structure shows a negative effect on the earning response coefficient.

This study was undertaken to investigate the impact of intrinsic motivation and compensation on employee performance at a fashion company in Bandung City. This research investigates the elements that exert the greatest influence on employee performance in a fashion firm in the city of Bandung. Specifically, it focuses on the relationship between intrinsic motivation and compensation. The study involves 53 employees who will be surveyed using a questionnaire. Research utilizing route analysis indicates that the Intrinsic Motivation variable (X1) has a direct influence of 0.268 or 26.8%, an indirect influence through its link with Compensation (X2) of 0.163 or 16.3%, and a total influence of 0.431 or 43.1%. The Compensation Variable (X2) has a direct influence of 0.176 or 17.6%, an indirect influence through its relationship with Intrinsic Motivation (X1) of 0.163 or 16.3%, and a total influence of 0.339 or 33.9%. The coefficient of determination (R square) expresses the percentage that represents the magnitude of the contribution of the independent variables, Intrinsic Motivation and Compensation, which is 0.770 or 77%. The remaining 23% represents the influence of other factors on employee performance that were not studied, indicated by the value Ɛ = 0.230 or 23%. In relation to the research findings, it is recommended to focus on enhancing Employee Performance by addressing Intrinsic Motivation and Compensation.

The purpose of the study was to design and analyze the influence of the number of Sudu on power and the resulting rounds of turbines. This research is done byexperimental methods of designing, making prototypes and testing. The models of wind turbines used are horizontal shaft wind turbines with a diameter of 30 cm with a number of 3, 4, 5, 6 Sudu. Variations in wind speed were given 3 m/s, 3.8 m/s and 4.6 m/s. The results showed that the highest value of 3.08% in the 6-Sudu wind turbinewith a wind speed given 4.6 m/s, whereas for the lowest value obtained 1.45% in a 3 sudu wind turbine with the given speed of wind 3 m/s. For a tip-speed value of λ =3.19 at wind speed of 4.6 m/s with a 6-Sudu turbine amount, while the lowest value of λ = 0.95 at wind speed of 3 m/s with a total of 3-Sudu turbine. The furnace is a device used to convert potential energy into heat energy. Furnace for the community is one of the important tools for cooking. Combustion is the reaction of a substance with oxygen (O2 ). Combustion is one of the most widely used biomass energy conversions because it produces direct thermal energy. The purpose of this research is to analyze the number of holes and analyze the comparison of burning briquette stoves with kerosene stoves. The data collection method is carried out by direct observation of the community and collecting references from related books and journals. Analysis conducted on the number of holes in the briquette stove (21, 33 and 43) shows the most effective results in the use of briquette stoves are briquette stoves which have 43 holes. The time to heat the water is 15 minutes with the same amount of water and fuel volume, the water volume is 500 ml and 600 grams of fuel and the final temperature is 100 oC. The heating time of kerosene stove is 12 minutes and the heating time of briquette stove is 15 minutes.Keywords: Briquette stove, hole variation, design, combustion, efficiency

Energy demand and consumption is currently increasing and is focused on the use of fuel oil and gas whose prices are increasing and reserves are very limited. One alternative energy that needs to be developed through processing agricultural waste is briquette fuel. The raw material for briquettes used in this study is coconut shell. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variations in mesh size on the thermal characteristics of coconut shell charcoal briquettes. The research method used in the form of experiments with the stages of the implementation of the coconut shell made and crushed and sifted using 20, 30 and 40 mesh sieves and using starch adhesive 10 % of the weight of raw materials with a pressure of 100 kgf/cm². The results showed that the smaller the particle size, the higher the heating value of 6118.49 cal/g. 8.45% moisture content, 2.56 % ash content, 13.28 % fly substance and 75.71 % bonded carbon. The conclusion of this research is the level of thermal characteristics of coconut shell charcoal briquettes is influenced by particle size, the smaller the particle size, the higher the heating value produced.Keywords: Briquette, coconut shell, starch, particle size

The purpose of this research is to find out how much electricity is in the mango river in the Mosolo Raya village. The research method used is to measure the flow of water with a storage method, measurement of water flow velocity, measurement of water falls height and the manufacture of Pelton turbine blades. The results showed that the largest water discharge value was 0.018182 m3/s on the 4th measurement, and the smallest water discharge value was 0.014679 m3/s on the 8th measurement, the largest speed value was 7.333225 m/s on the 4th measurement and the smallest speed value was 5.920402 m/s on the 8th measurement, the largest power value is 1215,984 watts on the 4th measurement and the smallest power value is 981.7119 on the 8th measurement. So, it can be concluded that the potential value of the mango river with the average electric power generated during the measurement is 110,779 Watt.Keywords: Power plant, horizontal axis, pelton turbine, mini hydro power

Electricity consumption level of construction or building can be determined by calculating the amount of electrical energy used in a certain time. This study aims to determine electricity consumption levelat KPKNL Kendari. According to the standards set by the 2000 National Standardization Agency for efficient energy for an office building is 240 kWh/m2. Refers to this standard, electricity consumption level of KPKNL Kendari was investigated. To aim the study goals, observation of load used and electrical energy was done. Various load used leads to electricity consumption which measured by dividing total electricity consumption to total building area, known as energy consumption intensity value (Intensitas Konsumsi Energi/IKE). Total electricity consumption for a year was 82,042 kWh and total building area is 913,8 m2. KPKNL Kendari’sIKE is 89.8 kWh / m2, this result shows that KPKNL Kendari electricity consumption Level is efficient. Keywords: Electrical energy, electricity cost, energy consumption intensity.
