Abstract

Pembelajaran yang memperkenalkan konsep angka semenjak usia dini memiliki peranan yang cukup esensial. Sebab itulah, dibutuhkan media permainan yang mampu memberi bantauan kepada anak memahami angka secara lebih menyenangkan. Salah satu bentuk permainan yang relevan adalah labirin (maze), yakni jaringan jalur berliku dan bercabang yang umumnya digunakan sebagai hiburan. Dalam penelitian ini, maze dimodifikasi menjadi permainan edukatif berbasis monopoli culture. Studi dilaksanakan dengan memakai metode eksperimen melalui rancangan one-group pretest-posttest design, yakni dengan memberi pretest sebelum perlakuan serta posttest sesudah perlakuan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwasanya sebelum perlakuan, rata-rata capaian kognitif anak umur 5–6 tahun di TK Negeri Pembina 3 Kota Pekanbaru hanya 120 dari skor ideal 300 (40,00%), yang masuk klasifikasi belum berkembang (BB). Setelah diberi perlakuan melalui permainan maze monopoli culture, skor meningkat menjadi 256 dari 300 (85,33%), sehingga kemampuan anak ada pada klasifikasi berkembang sesuai dengan harapan (BSH).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan kompetensi pedagogik guru dalam melaksanakan kegiatan pembelajaran di lembaga Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD). Kompetensi pedagogik merupakan kemampuan guru dalam memahami karakteristik peserta didik, merancang, melaksanakan, serta melakukan evaluasi proses pembelajaran sesuai dengan tahap perkembangan anak usia dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan wawancara terhadap tiga orang guru PAUD yang memiliki berbagai bidang pendidikan berbeda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa beberapa guru telah memahami konsep dasar kompetensi pedagogik, namun penerapannya belum optimal. Pembelajaran di lembaga yang diteliti masih didominasi oleh kegiatan calistung (membaca, menulis, berhitung) akibat tekanan dari orang tua dan keterbatasan sarana prasarana. Meskipun demikian, guru menunjukkan kreativitas dengan mengintegrasikan kegiatan calistung melalui pendekatan bermain sehingga anak tetap memperoleh pengalaman belajar yang bermakna. Kondisi ini menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi pedagogik guru sudah berkembang, namun masih memerlukan peningkatan terutama dalam penerapan prinsip belajar sambil bermain. Dukungan dari orang tua dan penyediaan fasilitas pembelajaran yang memadai sangat dibutuhkan agar guru dapat melaksanakan pembelajaran yang menarik dan sesuai dengan tahap perkembangan anak usia dini.

Abstract

Kompetensi guru memegang peran yang sangat penting dalam menentukan keberhasilan penyelenggaraan pendidikan anak usia dini (PAUD). Guru yang kompeten mampu menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan, membentuk karakter anak, serta mencapai tujuan pembelajaran secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi guru, khususnya kompetensi kepribadian, terhadap pelaksanaan pembelajaran di TK Islam Terpadu Al-Fityah Kota Pekanbaru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan model Miles and Huberman serta Creswell, melalui uji keterpercayaan (credibility), keteralihan (transferability), kebergantungan (dependability), dan kepastian (confirmability). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru yang memiliki kepribadian mantap, stabil, dan berwibawa mampu menciptakan iklim belajar yang positif serta menjadi teladan bagi peserta didik. Sebaliknya, guru yang kurang mampu mengendalikan emosi dan tidak konsisten dalam bersikap cenderung menimbulkan suasana pembelajaran yang kurang kondusif. Berdasarkan Permendiknas Nomor 16 Tahun 2007 dan Permendikbud Nomor 137 Tahun 2014, guru PAUD dituntut untuk memiliki empat kompetensi utama, yaitu pedagogik, profesional, sosial, dan kepribadian secara seimbang. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kompetensi guru terutama kompetensi kepribadian memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap keberhasilan pendidikan anak usia dini, baik dalam pembentukan karakter maupun peningkatan kualitas proses pembelajaran di sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the professional competence of Early Childhood Education (ECE) teachers in implementing technology-based learning at PAUD “X”. Teacher professionalism plays a crucial role in determining the quality of early childhood learning, particularly in the digital era where educators are expected to adapt to technological advancements. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing observations and semi-structured interviews to obtain an in-depth understanding of teachers’ abilities in managing learning processes, mastering instructional content, and integrating appropriate learning media. The findings indicate that teachers demonstrate strong pedagogical, social, and personal competencies. They successfully create an engaging and developmentally appropriate learning environment, use language that is easily understood by young children, and exhibit patience, discipline, and effective communication skills. Positive interaction among teachers, children, and parents contributes to a supportive and collaborative learning atmosphere. Teachers also incorporate simple learning materials, such as origami and visual aids, to enhance student engagement. Nevertheless, the study reveals that teachers’ professional competence in utilizing digital technology remains limited. Although technological tools are available, several teachers lack confidence and technical skills in operating digital devices, such as projectors and interactive media. Insufficient training and mentoring are identified as primary barriers. The study concludes that strengthening teachers’ technological competence should be prioritized through continuous professional development programs, including structured training and peer mentoring. Enhanced technological skills will enable teachers to design learning experiences that are more interactive, innovative, and responsive to the developmental needs of young children.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui kompetensi pedagogik yang dimiliki oleh guru PAUD di RA Ridho ilahi dan bagaimana kompetensi tersebut berperan dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran anak usia dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek dua guru yang dipilih secara purposive berdasarkan kemampuan mereka dalam menerapkan kompetensi pedagogik. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung selama pembelajaran dan wawancara mendalam yang menggambarkan penerapan kompetensi ini secara nyata. Analisis data meliputi pengumpulan data, pengkodean, pengelompokan dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kompetensi pedagogik di RA Ridho Ilahi cukup baik, guru mampu menjelaskan tujuan pembelajaran dengan jelas sehingga peserta didik lebih fokus. Guru mengamati minat dan kebutuhan peserta didik dengan menggunakan alat penilaian. Evaluasi juga dilakukan secara terstruktur dengan catatan anekdot untuk membantu menyesuaikan setiap kebutuhan peserta didik. Tetapi perlu adanya peningkatan pada aspek penyampaian tujuan pembelajaran agar motivasi dan partisipasi peserta didik semakin meningkat.

Abstract

The work ethic of teachers is an essential factor in improving the quality of education in elementary schools within Kuantan Hilir Seberang District. Teachers with a strong work ethic demonstrate discipline, responsibility, professionalism, innovation, and dedication, thereby creating a conducive and positive learning environment. Internal factors such as resilience and self-concept play a significant role in shaping this work ethic. Teachers with high resilience are better able to cope with job-related pressures and administrative challenges, remain productive, and sustain both self-motivation and student motivation. A positive self-concept enhances teachers’ confidence, commitment, and professionalism. Observations indicate that several teachers still require improvement in discipline, innovation, and competency development. Strengthening these internal aspects can enhance overall work ethic and directly contribute to improving educational quality. This study addresses the following research questions: (1) Is there an influence of resilience on the work ethic of elementary school teachers in Kuantan Hilir Seberang District? (2) Is there an influence of self-concept on the work ethic of these teachers? (3) Is there a combined influence of resilience and self-concept on their work ethic? This research employs a quantitative approach using an ex post facto research design. The study examines three variables to determine the extent of influence between the independent and dependent variables. The independent variables are resilience (X1) and self-concept (X2), while the dependent variable is work ethic (Y). The population of this study consists of all elementary school teachers in Kuantan Hilir Seberang District, totaling 125 teachers across 10 schools. The sample comprises 96 teachers from the same 10 schools, selected using a cluster random sampling technique. Data processing and analysis were conducted using descriptive profile analysis, descriptive statistics, and inferential statistics. The data were analyzed using SPSS version 25. The findings of this research indicate: (1) a significant and positive influence of resilience on the work ethic of elementary school teachers, with an effect size of 45.9%; (2) a significant and positive influence of self-concept on work ethic, with an effect size of 42.6%; and (3) a significant and positive combined influence of resilience and self-concept on work ethic, with an overall effect size of 47.3%. This indicates a moderate level of influence, as the remaining 52.7% is attributed to other factors not examined in this study.

Abstract

This research aims to explain the role of the professional competence of PAUD teachers in improving the quality of technology-based learning. The focus of the study is directed to the teacher's ability to master teaching materials and integrate digital media in accordance with the child's development stage. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the main data in the form of class observation results and interviews, involving three informants, namely class teachers, accompanying teachers, and the head of the institution. Data analysis is carried out through reduction techniques, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings show that teachers have mastered the material and are able to design relevant learning experiences, but the utilization of technology is still limited due to lack of technical skills and low confidence in operating digital devices. This research confirms the need for a continuous professional development (PKB) program that specifically strengthens the literacy and technology skills of PAUD teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the pedagogical and professional competencies of early childhood teachers in 21st-century learning, particularly regarding the integration of technology and obstacles to creativity in the development of learning media. The study was conducted at Kindergarten “A” involving 10 teachers using qualitative descriptive methods through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The results showed that teachers had fairly good pedagogical and professional competencies, including in formulating activity objectives, preparing lesson plans, and delivering material in language appropriate for children. However, teachers' creativity in utilizing media was still limited, especially in the use of simple technology and modification of conventional media. Teachers tended to use the same tools repeatedly without innovation. The lack of training and professional support also hampered the development of creative media. This study recommends improving competence through training, mentoring, and strengthening institutional support to encourage learning innovations that are appropriate for children's development.

Abstract

Professional competencies of educators in the digital age, particularly in integrating technology into learning processes, form the cornerstone for enhancing early childhood education quality. However, optimizing these competencies heavily relies on the availability of technological facilities and infrastructure in schools. This study examines how technological infrastructure support at TK PG Amanah can maximize teachers' professional abilities. Using a qualitative approach through case study, data was gathered via observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Findings reveal that technological resources at TK PG Amanah are severely limited, lacking essentials like computers, projectors, or adequate internet access, thereby hindering teachers from planning and executing technology-based lessons despite their strong personal digital skills. The gap between teachers' capabilities and available facilities prevents optimal implementation of their competencies, forcing a return to conventional teaching methods. In conclusion, technological facilities are not merely supportive but a fundamental prerequisite that determines teachers' capacity to innovate and foster professionalism in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the professional competence of Early Childhood Education (ECE) teachers in designing meaningful thematic learning for young children at TK Al Rasyid. The background of this research arises from the phenomenon that thematic learning, which should be child-centered, often remains administrative in nature and lacks the reflective qualities expected of professional educators. The main problem lies in teachers’ limited ability to connect lesson planning with developmental assessments of children and the absence of reflective practices in their teaching process. This study employed a qualitative descriptive method with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results reveal that ECE teachers at TK Al Rasyid have demonstrated a basic understanding of the concept of thematic learning; however, its implementation remains focused on administrative tasks rather than reflective and developmental aspects. Lesson plans are not yet fully based on children’s actual needs and interests, and learning activities tend to be teacher-centered, limiting children’s exploration. Moreover, reflective practices after learning have not become a consistent part of teachers’ professional routines. These findings indicate that the professional competence of ECE teachers at TK Al Rasyid is still at an early stage of development. Therefore, strengthening programs through reflective training, continuous supervision, and the cultivation of evaluative habits are essential to help teachers design more meaningful, contextual, and child-centered thematic learning experiences.
