Abstract

Abstract

Indonesian government is developing a sea toll program to facilitate logistics services for essential goods and basic goods, especially in the Eastern Indonesia Region. One of the essential goods and important logistics services in the region is fish logistics services, some of which have transit ports in Maluku Province. However, its utilization had not been optimal, because fish logistics activities were still mediocre and its services were inferior to other essential and basic goods. This study aimed to determine a strategy to improve fish logistics performance at ports in the Maluku sea toll network. The research locations are the Ambon Nusantara Fisheries Port and the Dobo Coastal Fisheries Port. The method used in the study is the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) which is a hierarchical stage of DMAIC modeling. Research results showed that the strategy of integrating efficient fish logistics and sea toll systems, so that logistics costs (storage, transportation) are low, and are able to overcome excess supply and excess demand in the surrounding area (STG-2) was a priority strategy to support improving the performance of fish logistics at the ports of the Maluku sea toll network. The results of the consistency ratio calculation also obtained a CR value of 0.0024 (consistent), and the strategy was also stable against changes in the required criteria conditions. Key words: archipelagic waters, DMAIC model, fisheries, port industry, staple goods

Abstract

Kutaraja Ocean Fishing Port (OFP) is the center of capture fisheries activities that supplies the largest sea fish in Aceh Province. However, the burden of discarded residual components and waste that was formed tends to increase to disrupt port operations. The study aimed to 1. determine critical activities of waste formation, and 2. develop clean production techniques for handling residual components and waste from fisheries activities at Kutaraja OFP. The research method consisted of a descriptive method, a pollution prevention approach model, and a weighted portion analysis. The critical points for the formation of residual components and waste were fish unloading at pier 1 (old pier), fish auction places 1-3, supply kiosks, and food stalls. Clean production techniques for handling residual components and waste in fish handling were 1. Refine, using freezer cooling technology on ships, and 2. Reduce, reducing rinsing by providing hygienic containers or places for fish. For handling the remaining components and waste scattered in the port were 1. Refine, repair the channels and waste water reservoirs, and 2. Recycle, recycle organic waste into fertilizer that can be used for greening in the Kutaraja OFP area. Keywords: fisheries, fishing industry, ports, residual components, waste

Abstract

Ship safety issues are in the global spotlight, including on purse seine vessels based at the Nizam Zachman Jakarta Ocean Fisheries Port (PPSNZJ). This is due to the high number of ship accidents. There have been 11 (eleven) cases of ship sinking and fires in 2020-2022. This study uses a descriptive survey method through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The determination of respondents was carried out by purposive sampling and data analysis was carried out descriptively quantitatively. The results of the study showed that most purse seine vessels had complied with the procedures and administration of fishing vessel safety and security standards with an average value of 95.73%, meaning very compliant. However, the completeness of work safety and security equipment such as helmets, gloves, and welding shields is still low, or only reaching an average of 45%. This means that awareness and implementation of work safety standards are not evenly distributed among ship owners and crew. Key words: assessment, compliance, occupational safety, purse seine

Abstract

Abstract

Aging is a process experienced by the human body where the function of body parts becomes reduced, for example, the skin is getting thinner and then wrinkles appear. Premature aging of the skin occurs due to photoanging by UV radiation and some bad living habits. In reducing the signs of aging on the skin, antioxidants are needed to protect the skin from damage caused by oxidation so that it can prevent premature aging. Antioxidants can be enzymes (eg superoxide or SOD, catalase, glutathione peroxidase), vitamins (eg vitamins E , C, A ) and other compounds such as flavonoids, albumin, bilirubin, ceruloplasmin and others. One of the antioxidants found in nature is garlic peel . Garlic peel has been shown to have many benefits including, containing flavonoids, polyphenols, alkaloids and tannins, and it is this content that proves garlic skin contains separate antioxidants.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of market risk, operational risk, liquidity risk, and solvency risk, while also investigating the moderating effect of credit growth on bank performance. The Error Correction Model-Eagle Granger (ECM-EG) methodology was applied to data from 2014 to 2023. Findings indicate that, in the short term, market and operational risks significantly impact bank performance. In the long term, only solvency risk does not significantly affect bank performance. Additionally, credit growth moderates the relationship between market and liquidity risks and bank performance in the short term, while in the long term, it only moderates the relationship between market risk and bank performance. Our empirical findings demonstrate that effective risk management enhances bank performance. This research provides valuable insights for policymakers, researchers, and academics in fostering a conducive environment for corporate activities.
