Abstract

The immune system of Kampung chickens is vital for maintaining health and productivity, especially in combating bacterial infections. Among the genetic components involved, the inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) gene is crucial for producing nitric oxide (NO), a molecule with strong antimicrobial properties. This study investigated the association between iNOS (AluI│g.15056T>C) gene polymorphism and immune traits in Kampung chickens to enhance disease resistance. Blood samples from 100 Kampung chickens were genotyped using PCR-RFLP, and immune parameters such as leukocyte count, macrophage activity, and bacterial resistance were evaluated. Statistical analysis revealed significant differences among TT, TC, and CC genotypes. The CC genotype exhibited superior performance, including the highest macrophage activity (91.74±1.92%), activated macrophage capacity (2279.49), and bacterial death rate (60.81±3.54%). These findings suggest that the CC genotype enhances NO production, strengthening the immune response to bacterial pathogens like Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella Pullorum. Additionally, the polymorphism contributes to improved genetic diversity and immune efficiency in Kampung chickens. The study highlights the potential of incorporating the iNOS CC genotype in selective breeding programs to produce chickens with enhanced resilience. Future research should focus on interacting environmental factors with iNOS expression to optimize its application in chicken production.

Abstract

Indonesian local chickens are essential genetic resources with significant potential for advancing the national poultry industry due to their high genetic diversity, reflecting adaptation to tropical environments and traditional farming systems. This study analyzed the genetic diversity of Kampung, Sentul, KUB, SenSi, and Broiler chickens based on the MSTN g.4842T>G locus. Blood samples from 150 chickens underwent PCR-RFLP analysis using the BsrI restriction enzyme targeting exon 2 of the MSTN gene. Parameters such as observed heterozygosity (Ho), expected heterozygosity (He), polymorphism information content (PIC), and Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium were assessed. Genetic distances were calculated using PHYLIP, and a dendrogram was constructed with UPGMA. The study identified two alleles (G and T) and three genotypes (GG, GT, TT), with the T allele being dominant, particularly in Broiler chickens (78.3%). Ho was lower than He in all populations, indicating a heterozygosity deficit. PIC values ranged from 0.282 (Broiler) to 0.367 (SenSi), classifying the MSTN locus as moderately polymorphic. Kampung and KUB chickens showed the closest genetic relationship, while Broiler chickens were the most distinct. These findings underscore the potential of local chickens in breeding programs for adaptability and productivity. Further research with additional markers is recommended to enhance sustainable poultry farming.

Abstract

The prolactin gene (PRL) in chickens is one of the genes that regulates broodiness and egg production in laying hens. Single Nucleotide Polymorphism (SNP) is a form of single nucleotide variation in the DNA base sequence at specific locations in the genome that can influence differences in quantitative traits in livestock. This study aimed to identify SNPs in the prolactin gene of native chickens. The research methods included DNA extraction, PCR amplification, and DNA sequence analysis for genotype determination of individuals. The results revealed four mutation points at positions g.8052 bp T>C, g.7886 T>A, g.7823 A>G, and g.8069 T>C. All mutation points in exon 5 were substitution mutations. Statistical analysis showed that all loci were polymorphic and the population was in Hardy–Weinberg equilibrium.

Abstract

Pengelolaan usulan pelaksanaan anggaran dan pengelola keuangan yang berjalan saat ini pada Direktorat Jenderal Pengembangan Kawasan Transmigrasi (Ditjen PKTrans) masih dilakukan secara konvensional. Hal ini tentu membutuhkan biaya yang tidak sedikit serta memperlambat proses administrasinya. Berdasarkan permasalah tersebut, peneliti bermaksud membangun sistem informasi yang dapat memberikan kemudahan bagi Ditjen PKTrans dalam pengolahan data usulan, pencarian data dan pembuatan laporannya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dilakukan melalui studi kepustakaan, observasi dan wawancara dengan pihak-pihak terkait. Aplikasi dibangun menggunakan bahasa pemrogram JAVA, NetBeans, XAMPP. Penelitian ini menghasilkan sistem informasi berbasis online yang memberikan kemudahan dalam pengelolaan data dan pelaporan ke satuan kerja perangkat daerah tanpa batasan waktu dan jarak.The management of budget implementation proposals and financial managers currently running at the Directorate General of Transmigration Area Development (Ditjen PKTrans) is still carried out conventionally. This of course requires a lot of money and slows down the administrative process. Based on these problems, the researcher intends to build an information system that can make it easier for the Directorate General of PKTrans in processing the proposed data, searching for data and making reports. The research method used to collect data was carried out through literature study, observation and interviews with related parties. Applications built using the JAVA programming language, NetBeans, XAMPP. This study produces an online-based information system that provides convenience in managing data and reporting to regional work units without time and distance limitations.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi saat ini dapat dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat luas, termasuk peneliti maupun mahasiswa. Salah satu kemajuan teknologi yang dapat dimanfaatkan khususnya dalam membantu membuat daftar pustaka adalah “Mendeley Reference Manager”. Mendeley merupakan salah satu dari beberapa alat manajemen referensi yang direkomendasikan baik jurnal nasional maupun jurnal bereputasi internasional. Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan training penggunaan “Mendeley Reference Manager” untuk memudahkan pengguna dalam membuat daftar pustaka otomatis. Metode pengabdian dilaksanakan melalui ceramah online, instruksi tentang penggunaan Mendeley reference manager, praktik penulisan sitasi dalam artikel ilmiah, dan tanya jawab. Peserta dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berjumlah 18 orang dengan berbagai latar belakang. Hasil dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah para peserta dapat melakukan install “Mendeley Reference Manager” , membuat collection, membuat group kolaborasi hingga menyusun daftar pustaka otomatis. Kedepannya diharapkan para pengguna khususnya penelit dan mahasiswa dapat membuat daftar pustaka otomatis, dengan lebih baik, efektif, efisien dan meminimalisir kesalahan.

Abstract

The Campus Teaching Batch 7 program aims to improve students' literacy and numeracy skills through student mentoring at SDN 3 Rejotangan, Tulungagung Regency. This activity examines the effectiveness of the mentoring program in overcoming the problem of low student literacy and numeracy skills. The methods used are observation, interviews, and pre- and post-assistance tests to measure changes in students' abilities. The results show that there is a significant improvement in students' literacy and numeracy skills after receiving intensive assistance from students. This program also had a positive impact on students' learning motivation, as seen from the increased participation and enthusiasm of students in learning activities. The mentoring students acted as facilitators, providing interesting and relevant materials, and using interactive and fun learning methods. In addition, the collaboration between student assistants, teachers, and parents also supports the success of this program. Student assistance in the Teaching Campus Program Batch 7 is effective in improving students' literacy and numeracy skills at SDN 3 Rejotangan. Recommendations are given to develop similar programs in other schools to improve the quality of basic education in Indonesia.

Abstract

The Campus Teaching Batch 7 program aims to improve literacy and numeracy at SDN 1 Aryojeding, Tulungagung Regency, through comprehensive mentoring. The program involves students as agents of change who collaborate with teachers in designing and implementing innovative learning strategies. The methods used include observations, interviews, and pre- and post-intervention evaluations to measure the effectiveness of the program. Preliminary results show a significant improvement in students' reading and numeracy skills after participating in this program. Intensive mentoring and the use of interactive learning media proved effective in motivating students and improving their understanding of basic literacy and numeracy concepts. In addition, the program also succeeded in improving teachers' skills through a sustainable learning model. The success of this program shows the importance of collaboration between universities and primary schools in creating a better learning environment. It is hoped that this mentoring model can be adapted and applied in other schools to improve the quality of basic education in Indonesia.

Abstract

The acquisition of vocabulary significantly impacts language learning since it serves as the foundation for developing linguistic abilities. As a result, instructors must provide students with a contextual framework and various media resources to help them build an extensive understanding of language usage. Using information and communication technology (ICT) in the classroom can maximise student learning by maximising their potential (Adisti, 2018). The Busuu language learning application is one of the online learning resources available. The researchers goal in this study is to examine at how the Busuu language learning application affects vocabulary acquisition among students in a vocational school in Aceh, Indonesia. A quantitative research approach was used, utilizing a survey questionnaire and experimental teaching. Purposive sampling was employed to select 30 students from the Business and Marketing class to participate in the research. The findings indicate that students, performance in acquiring new English vocabulary improved significantly following the intervention. The pre-test results, averaging 6.86, and the post-test, averaging 9.9, show a 3.03 improvement. The Busuu application also received favourable feedback from research participants, who found it to be enjoyable and educational.

Abstract

Employee performance research or analysis is always interesting, and is still being carried out, besides there are still problems, organizations are also increasingly competitive. In this analysis, it is taken from the perspective of three factors, namely work culture, work experience and work discipline. With the object of research 48 employees in the BKPSDM office environment of Pidie Jaya district. Applying a quantitative associative method, with a collection instrument through a questionnaire. Analyzed statistically inferentially, namely path model analysis. The results of the study found: (1) that the three factors, namely work culture, experience and employee work discipline have a positive effect on their performance, both directly and indirectly, respectively by 52.44%, 50.18% and 35.32%. (2) there is a causal relationship between the selected exogenous variables with a moderate category, so that simultaneously work culture, work experience and work discipline contribute 65% in strengthening employee performance.

Abstract

The competition in the era of globalization, which is marked by the formation of the industrial revolution 4.0, has an impact on increasing business competition and sustainable development is very much needed for companies to survive. The research method used in the research is the Quantitative Method with a Correlational Statistical Technique approach. The results of this research are the regression coefficient for the Safety Behavior variable (X1) with a value of 0.376 which means that Safety Behavior has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, every additional unit of the Safety Behavior variable (X1) will increase PT Dahana Job's Employee Performance (Y). The regression coefficient for the motivation variable (X2) with a value of 0.380 means that motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The Motivation variable (X2) will increase Employee Performance (Y) at PT Dahana Job Site Project PT Antang Gunung Meratus. The regression coefficient for the Work Discipline variable (X3) with a value of 0.352 means that work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The variables Safety Behavior (X1), Motivation (X2) and Work Discipline (X3) simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on employee performance at PT Dahana Job Site Project PT Antang Gunung Meratus by 77.7%. This means that 77.7% of the dependent variable of employee performance can be explained by the independent variables of safety behavior, motivation and work discipline
