Strengthening Character Education (PPK) aims to shape students with strong character in addition to academic achievement. The implementation of PPK in the context of guidance and counseling in boarding school-based schools is very important to optimize the moral and social development of students. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of PPK implementation in guidance and counseling services at SMA Plus Al Fatimah Bojonegoro, a boarding school-based institution. This research uses a quantitative method with data collection through questionnaires distributed to 100 students, as well as questionnaires for guidance counselors and the school principal. The research results show that 37.5% of students strongly agree, 39% agree, 16.5% somewhat agree, 5% disagree, and 2.5% strongly disagree regarding the effectiveness of PPK in shaping their character. Meanwhile, 59% of guidance counselors and principals strongly agree, 31% agree, and 10% somewhat agree with the effectiveness of this program. No respondents disagreed or strongly disagreed. The conclusion of this study shows that the implementation of PPK at SMA Plus Al Fatimah Bojonegoro is generally effective, but there are still challenges in the consistency of implementation and student involvement. Recommendations are given to enhance the synergy between teachers, counselors, and school authorities to strengthen the implementation of this program.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of government support, access to finance, and entrepreneurial skills on the growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) operating within emerging industrial clusters. Using a quantitative research design, data were collected from MSME owners and managers through a structured questionnaire, with a total of [insert sample size] valid responses analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The measurement model demonstrated strong reliability and validity, while the structural model revealed that all three factors significantly influenced MSME growth. Access to finance emerged as the strongest predictor (β = 0.362, p < 0.001), followed by entrepreneurial skills (β = 0.298, p < 0.01) and government support (β = 0.254, p < 0.05). The model explained 54.6% of the variance in MSME growth, indicating substantial explanatory power. These findings underscore the necessity of integrated development strategies that combine policy facilitation, financial inclusion, and capacity-building to foster sustainable MSME performance in cluster environments. The study contributes to the resource-based view and institutional theory by demonstrating that both internal capabilities and external enablers are critical for MSME success in emerging economies.

Abstract

Sexual harassment can have long-term negative effects on victims, one of which is a decrease in self-compassion. A decline in self-compassion may hinder the achievement of individuals’ developmental tasks. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of feminist counseling services using expressive writing techniques to enhance self-compassion among students who are victims of sexual harassment. The research employed a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest experimental design. The study population consisted of 60 students who had experienced sexual harassment. The data collection instrument used was a self-compassion scale developed by Kristin Neff and translated by Sugianto et al. The sample consisted of six female students with low levels of self-compassion who were selected using purposive sampling techniques. These six students received feminist group counseling interventions using expressive writing techniques over five sessions. Data were analyzed using the non-parametric Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. The analysis yielded a Z value of -2.207 and an asymp. sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.027, which is lower than the alpha level of 0.05, indicating a significant increase in scores before and after the intervention. Therefore, it can be concluded that feminist group counseling with expressive writing techniques is effective in enhancing self-compassion among students who are victims of sexual harassment.

Abstract

The advancement of information technology has significantly accelerated the dissemination of information, including harmful content such as pornography. This phenomenon raises concerns about the potential for pornography addiction among adolescents with unrestricted access to digital media. This study aims to analyze the level of pornography addiction tendencies among junior high school students and to explore the role of guidance and counseling services in addressing this issue. A mixed-methods approach was employed using an exploratory sequential design. Quantitative data were collected through a survey assessing the level of pornography addiction, while qualitative data were obtained through focus group discussions (FGD) with school counselors to examine implemented strategies and encountered challenges. Instruments included a pornography addiction scale and structured interview guidelines. Quantitative findings reveal that the majority of students (93.2%) fall into the low addiction tendency category, while 6.8% are in the moderate category. Qualitative results indicate that pornography addiction is driven by uncontrolled technological access, lack of supervision, and negative social influences. Although preventive efforts have been initiated through counseling services, their effectiveness remains limited due to insufficient support and inadequate facilities. The study recommends the development of educational media focused on enhancing adolescents’ self-control as a strategic intervention to prevent pornography addiction in secondary education contexts.

Abstract

This research aims to adapt the teacher relational competence scale by Vidmar and Kerman (2016) to the Indonesian language and culture, especially in the context of guidance and counseling teachers. The adaptation process has used the International Test Commission Guidelines. This adaptation involves 276 subjects with criteria: guidance and counseling teachers with a minimum working period of 5 years and who have attended professional teacher education (Pendidikan Profesi Guru). There are four research instruments, namely TRCS, linguist evaluation form, content expert evaluation form, and pilot studyassessment form. The data analysis technique uses content analysis and constructs analysis. Content analysis has used the content validity index (CVI), while construct analysis has used confirmatory factor analysis(CFA) with AMOS version 22. Reliability test based on homogeneity (internal consistency) using Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient. The analysis of evidence based on test content contained ten items with a mean score of 0.60. The results of the evidence-based construct analysis using CFA obtained 17 items with a loading factor > .50. The reliability coefficient with Cronbach’s alpha is .933. So that in the future, only 17 items will be used as a measure of the Indonesian version of the Relational Competence Scale for guidance and counseling teachers.

The normality test results showed that the significance value for the pre-test was 0.700 > 0.05 and for the post-test was 0.075 > 0.05, indicating that the data were normally distributed. The paired sample test results showed that the sig (2-tailed) value was 0.034 < 0.05, so Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. The results of the Cohen's d analysis showed a value of 1.27 > 0.8, indicating that the narrative counselling intervention had a significant effect on the students, thereby improving their assertive behaviour.
