Abstract

With technological advancements, the sports sector increasingly relies on digital marketing, including social media usage, data-driven marketing, and other digital technologies, to expand reach and boost revenue. This study aims to analyze how digital marketing strategies contribute to enhancing the economic value of the sports industry. This research uses a systematic literature review approach to analyze various relevant studies, focusing on the contributions of digital marketing to revenue, fan engagement, and brand loyalty in the global sports industry. The results show that digital marketing strategies, such as social media engagement, content marketing, augmented reality (AR) use, and hybrid business models, are highly effective in increasing the economic value of the sports industry. Additionally, the development of digital infrastructure and the use of advanced technologies also contribute to market expansion and enhanced fan engagement. This study also identifies challenges related to digital piracy and the lack of cohesive strategies in some sports organizations. Therefore, the effective implementation of digital marketing strategies can strengthen the sports industry's position in the global market.

Abstract

This community service partnership was carried out at PAUD Mutiara Kids, Temanggung. PAUD Mutiara Kids faces two problems in its educational activities, namely 1) aspects of knowledge about waste and separating types of waste; 2) aspects of skills in making educational toys by utilizing used goods into more useful items so as to reduce waste at school. Therefore, the service team aims to (1) introduce and socialize the “Eco-school” program as an alternative to realizing environmental literacy in schools; (2) learning activities together to recognize and separate the types of waste are continued; (3) making educational toys from used items. Community service activities are carried out in socialization and demonstration activities, practice and assistance in sorting waste, discussions. This activity was carried out on Saturday, June 29, 2024 with 35 participants from Kindergarten B PAUD Mutiara Kids Temanggung. The results of this activity are 1) students gain knowledge about waste and can separate the types of waste; 2) students have the skills to utilize used items around the school into educational toys that can reduce waste at school; 3) students also said that this activity was very helpful to instill love for the environment for students. The Eco-school activities carried out are not only on theoretical understanding but also on application. Abstract

This systematic literature review examines the economic and tourism impacts of football events on local communities, aiming to synthesise empirical evidence, evaluate methodological approaches, and identify determinants of success or failure. Utilising the PRISMA framework, the study analysed 92 peer-reviewed articles published between 2000 and 2023 from databases including Scopus, Web of Science, and EBSCO host. Inclusion criteria prioritised empirical studies on international, regional, and domestic football events, while theoretical analyses and non-football sports events were excluded. Data extraction focused on variables such as event type, geographic context, and stakeholder governance, with quality assessment conducted via the Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool (MMAT). Thematic analysis revealed three key findings: (1) mega-events generate significant short-term economic gains (78% of studies), particularly in hospitality and transportation sectors, but long-term sustainability remains limited (34% of studies), often overshadowed by hidden costs like infrastructure debt; (2) stakeholder collaboration and inclusive governance enhance benefit distribution, as seen in Germany’s post-2006 World Cup tourism growth (+8% over five years); and (3) small-scale events demonstrate greater economic sustainability and community engagement compared to mega-events due to lower costs and localized participation. The study highlights disparities between developed and developing nations, where the latter experience higher short-term GDP growth (+15%) but face greater financial risks. These findings underscore the need for transparent cost-benefit frameworks, post-event audits, and prioritised investment in regional events. By integrating quantitative and qualitative insights, this review proposes a holistic model for optimising football events as tools for equitable and sustainable development.

Abstract

This study examines green consumption behavior during Car Free Day (CFD) activities at Simpang Lima Semarang, a public space that serves as a meeting point for social, economic, and environmental interactions. This participatory case study aims to explore the forms of environmentally friendly consumption practices implemented by visitors and vendors in the open space. The method used is a participatory case study with participatory observation and in-depth interviews conducted over four weeks, involving 70 vendors and 143 visitors, with 24 informants willing to be interviewed in depth. Data were analyzed using a thematic approach to identify emerging patterns of behavior. The results show that various green consumption practices are implemented, such as the use of tumblers and cloth shopping bags by visitors, as well as the use of environmentally friendly packaging, the provision of local or organic products, and trash bins by vendors. Supporting factors include individual environmental awareness, social values, and the influence of family or community, while the main constraints are limited facilities and access to environmentally friendly options. These findings suggest that CFD Simpang Lima functions as an informal learning space for building ecological awareness through daily social interactions. This study recommends government support and community initiatives to enhance environmental literacy and the availability of green facilities in public spaces. These findings are currently limited to short-term observations, so further research is suggested to be conducted longitudinally or expanded to other cities to compare patterns of green consumption behavior in different urban contexts.

Abstract

Carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions are a form of negative externality from economic activity and development, with serious implications for climate stability. Indonesia ranks 9th as the country with the highest carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions according to the International Energy Agency (IEA) in 2021. Indonesia's total CO₂ emissions in that year will be around 619 Mt CO₂e. The increase in CO₂ emissions in Indonesia is inevitable, as it is influenced by various structural and economic factors. This study aims to identify factors that influence the increase in CO₂ emissions and analyze the long-term influence of the variables GDP per capita, Financial Development Index, Energy Use, and Productive Age Population (15-64 years) on CO₂ emissions in Indonesia. The analysis method used is Fully Modified Ordinary Least Squares (FMOLS). The results showed that all independent variables have a positive and significant effect on CO₂ emissions in the long run. This means that every 1% increase in the independent variables can increase total CO2 emissions in Indonesia. GDP per capita variable can increase by 0.04% CO2 emissions, Energy use contributes 0.68% to CO2 emissions. Productive age population (15-64 years) can affect 0.12%. Meanwhile, Financial Development in scale can have an effect of 0.30% on CO2 emissions. . This finding indicates that CO2 emission reduction policies need to focus on energy use efficiency and sustainable economic growth.
