Abstract

Sexual education in Islamic boarding schools has an important role in shaping the social life of students and protecting them from the risk of sexual violence. However, with the times and needs, there is a need for a more assertive sexual education system, so that the students want to obey the rules. This study aims to identify the implementation of sexual education in the MA Ma'ahid Kudus Islamic boarding school. The research involved respondents and relevant sources and then analyzed sex education at the MA Ma'ahid Kudus Islamic boarding school. This research invites parents, surrounding people, and asatidz to care about sexual education for students so that students can be guided and stay on the right path, and can respond so that sexual harassment does not occur.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how foreign or (western) culture affects student behavior in everyday life in Indonesia and the efforts of the MAN 2 Klaten school in counteracting the influence of foreign cultures that have the potential to harm young students. which uses qualitative research methods with a case study approach conducted at MAN 2 Klaten. The population in this study were all students at MAN 2 Klaten, then sample selection was carried out using purposive sampling method and obtained 30 students. The data collection methods used were observation, interviews, and literature study. The data sources used were primary and secondary. Primary data was obtained from observations made for 1 month from March to April 2023 and interviews with students and teachers at MAN 2 Klaten. While secondary data is obtained from books and journals related to the research conducted. The data analysis technique used is Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis. Qualitative data analysis activities are carried out interactively and take place continuously until completion, so that the data is saturated. This analysis consists of 3 main things, namely data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The conclusion of this research is that the positive behavior obtained from the influence of western culture is to increase student creativity and innovation, cultural exchange provides opportunities for students to advance, students are getting faster in mastering technology, and expanding student knowledge. While the negative behavior that arises is the loss of cultural values in students, a reduced sense of student nationalism, social inequality among students, and the occurrence of divisions among students, then efforts to prevent negative behavior due to the influence of western culture that can be done is to adjust to the norms that apply in Indonesia, instill a sense of love for the country, and be moderate.

Abstract

The research illustrates the implementation of the independent curriculum in the profile of Pancasila students in driving schools. This research aims to see how the implementation of the independent curriculum based on the Pancasila student profile and the role of driving schools in the implementation of the independent curriculum. This research uses qualitative methods with a literature study approach through collecting information in the form of journals, books, mass media, and so on both physical and nonphysical. The results of the study explained that, the implementation of the existing Pancasila student profile in the independent curriculum there is a project developed based on the theme set by the government, through the Pancasila student profile program is expected to become individuals who have good morality, are able to compete both at the national and global levels, and have the ability to work together to develop creative ideas and most importantly make students able to apply the profile dimension Pancasila students in everyday life. The driving school is one of the axes of the implementation of the independent curriculum that has been implemented, the principal and teachers are trying to maximize the school's role as an education developer and grow all the potential contained in students. Abstract

Islamic religious education has a central role in shaping the character and moral values of students. To ensure quality Islamic religious education, Islamic religious education teachers need to have high professional competence. One of the key elements in improving the professional competence of these teachers is the important role that principals play in fostering innovation. The type of research used is Field Research with a phenomenological approach. Qualitative research with field research strategies is research on the realization of people's social life directly. To check the validity of the data obtained by researchers using triangulation. Triangulation is a multimethod approach that researchers take when collecting and analyzing data. This research explores how school principals can innovate in improving the professional competence of Islamic religious education teachers. Through a comprehensive literature review and case studies from several successful schools, the research identifies innovative strategies that principals can implement. The results showed that innovative principals tend to facilitate a variety of training and professional development for teachers, encourage collaboration among teachers to share experiences and resources, and design teacher performance appraisal programs that focus on improving competencies. This research emphasizes the importance of the role of school principals in creating an environment that supports innovation, which in turn contributes to the improvement of the professional competence of Islamic religious education teachers. These findings have important implications in ongoing efforts to improve the quality of Islamic religious education and shape a more qualified and moral generation.

Abstract

In the present era, the study of the Qur'an is very good to be developed, especially the memorization of the Qur'an, at present many Islamic educational institutions have developed a Qur'an memorization program, one of which is at MTs Negeri 1 Surakarta which has implemented this learning. In a lesson, it will not be separated from the learning strategy, the learning strategy is the most important reference that educators have to support the learning process takes place. In memorizing the Qur'an, each individual has his own way, there are those who only listen to murotal alone and can memorize the Qur'an, and there are also those who by reading repeatedly can memorize, so the point is that memorizing the Qur'an can be done in many ways. The strategy of memorizing the Koran can be said to be successful if the goal of the end of learning is achieved. A good strategy will affect the quality of memorization as well and the teaching and learning process will run effectively and correctly. The purpose of this study is to find the right approach and strategy used for the memorization process of students at MTs Negeri 1 Surakata as well as the steps and evaluation system for learning the Qur'an in the Bait Al-Hikmah Dormitory of MTs N 1 Surakarta. This research method uses descriptive qualitative methods through case studies. This research was conducted at Bait Al-Hikmah Dormitory, MTs Negeri 1 Surakarta in 2023/2024. Abstract

This article discusses the concept of social care that is incorporated into the education system in Indonesia through character education. This article highlights the main focus on intellectual aspects of contemporary education, while downplaying the moral and spiritual dimensions. This study examines the correlation between the rapid development of today's era and the decline in a sense of concern among today's adolescents. Teachers are responsible for teaching and improving the moral development of students to encourage effective socialization among students. This research aims to; (1) Describe the role of PAI teachers in internalizing the social care character of students at SMK Batik 1 Surakarta, (2) Describe the form of social care character at SMK Batik 1 Surakarta, (3) Describe the impact of internalizing social care character at SMK Batik 1 Surakarta. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methodology to achieve its goals. The data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. This article describes the process of data analysis, which includes collecting data, reducing unnecessary data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. This study shows the results that the results of this study are; (1) PAI teachers at SMK Batik 1 Surakarta incorporate character education into the Syllabus or RPP, cultivate habits, encourage group work, and encourage mutual assistance among students; (2) Forms of social care carried out at SMK Batik 1 Surakarta, such as infaq, gotong royong, and altruism; (3) This study examines the impact of internalizing the character of social care in SMK Batik 1 Surakarta. The findings revealed two positive outcomes: improved moral and character development of students, and improved interpersonal relationships among students.

Abstract

Efforts in the process of maintaining memorization of the Qur'an through semaan activities. Apart from maintaining it, it also improves the quality of memorization. Living the Quran as a new method of research/study of social phenomena related to the presence of the Al-Quran in society is of course a breath of fresh air in the academic world. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach where the data collection process is obtained through direct interviews. The subjects in this research were Ustadz / Ustadzah and students at TPQ Asy Syafaat. The aim of this research is to find out how the process of Semaan activities takes place, the motives and meanings contained in season activities, and the results of Semaan Al Qur'an activities in improving the quality of students' memorization at TPQ Asy Syafaat. The results of this research are the semaan activities carried out every Sunday morning at TPQ Asy Syafaat to train self-confidence, and provide motivation to other students, as evaluation material. The results of the activities of memorizing the Qur'an to improve the quality of memorization at TPQ Asy Syafaat have been successfully implemented.

Abstract

The primary goal of this research is to assess the effectiveness of character education programs in schools in fostering positive attitudes, values, and behaviors among students. Additionally, it seeks to determine the impact, whether positive or negative, of character education on students' academic achievements. The study aims to evaluate how the school environment, encompassing school culture and the role of teachers, influences the development of students' character by examining the progression and orientation of character, building, and school research documented in publications indexed by Scopus. Employing bibliometric analysis techniques, the study delves into publications listed in the Scopus character, building, and school database spanning from 1923 to 2023. Data analysis was conducted using Excel and R/R-Studio, while VOSviewer visually analyzed the co-occurrence of keywords and document citations. The investigation identified 244 publications aligning with the predefined function, subject, and criteria. The findings revealed an annual growth rate of 2.52%, reaching its peak in 2021 with 25 publications on character, building, and school. The United States emerged as the leading contributor to publications, specifically affiliated with The George Washington University, which produced three documents. Notably, Hung, C.Y., emerged as the most relevant author, having authored two publications on character, building, and school. It is essential to note that the bibliometric analysis was confined to Scopus data, and the inclusion of other national and international databases should have been considered in the study. This research provides a concise overview of the literature available to researchers focusing on character, building, and school, offering recommendations for future research endeavors.

Abstract

Muhammadiyah is one of the largest Islamic Organizations in Indonesia, which carries out da'wah amar ma'ruf nahi munkar with the aim and purpose of upholding Islam. One of Muhammadiyah's roles in Indonesia is establishing educational institutions that adhere to Islamic religious values with a school system combining religious and general knowledge, which has now developed into Pesantren. Pesantren has become the main witness to the spread of Islam in Indonesia which functions to prepare santri who study and master in Islamic education, known as Tafaqquh fiddin, which is expected to be able to produce a good generation and participate in educating Indonesian society through Islamic Da'wah and become a stronghold for the people. This encourages the Muhammadiyah Organization to continue advancing and developing education. This study aims to describe the transformation of educational institutions in the Muhammadiyah Organization starting with the school system and now developing into pesantren. This research uses library research methods with historical, sociological, and descriptive approaches. The data collection methods used were observation and documentation. The results of the study stated that the Muhammadiyah Educational Institution has been moving since its inception until it has been transformed into a Pondok Pesantren Institution with various models such as Islamic Boarding Schools with Madrasah system, Takhassus system, and Muhammadiyah Boarding School system.

Abstract

This study aims to determine adult learning and self-development mapping in Scopus-indexed publications. This research uses bibliometric analysis techniques to examine all publications indexed in the Scopus database on adult values reflection from 1972 to 2023. The data were analysed using Excel and R/R-Studio. VOSviewer was used to analyze the co-occurrence of keywords and document citations visually. The author found 507 publications matching the defined function, subject, and criteria. The results of this study show an annual growth rate of 7.8%, with the most publications on adult values reflection in 2018. The United States is the country with the highest contribution. The bibliometric analysis carried out was limited to Scopus data. Other national and international databases were not included in this study. This study presents a snapshot of the literature accessible to researchers in the fields of education and health and provides recommendations for future research.
