Abstract

Tropical forests have known ecosystem services, including sequestering atmospheric carbon and fixing it into biomass. Since the revolutionary industrial changes, the atmospheric carbon level has risen during the recent decades, while the global temperature has increased compared to the pre-industrial levels. Furthermore, reducing atmospheric carbon can mitigate global warming and climate change. This study aims to estimate the aboveground biomass and carbon stock in the Pesanggrahan Forest, Malang Regency, East Java, Indonesia, and contribute local information to the vast global literature. This study was conducted in August 2023 and measured all tree species with a diameter >20 cm in a 5-ha area. The results found 208 individuals and 39 species of trees, the aboveground biomass and carbon stock of which were calculated. The total aboveground biomass (AGB) and carbon stock were 4,486 and 2,248 tons C/ha, respectively. Meanwhile, the total forest AGB and carbon stock in the 5-ha sampling area were 224.77 tons/ha and 112.39 tons C/ha, respectively. These findings highlight the cruciality of tropical forest vegetation in carbon storage and their overall role in regional and global ecosystem management in light of climate change.

Abstract

ABSTRACTOne of the sectors most affected by the Covid-19 pandemic is tourism, especially because of the quarantine policy. The quarantine policy is considered an effective strategy to prevent and control the transmission of COVID-19. Quarantine refers to efforts to identify exposure to Covid-19 in a person by segregating and restricting movement. The public hope that the tourism sector will soon improve with the elimination of the quarantine policy. The removal of the quarantine policy as a form of leeway is considered to be able to increase people's intention to travel and boost economic recovery. However, some experts argue that this policy is less effective because people still have concerns over the unexpected emergence of new variants of Covid-19. This explanatory study aims to analyze the perception of quarantine elimination effect on attitude and travel intentions. The study used a survey as the data collection method. The results showed that perceived risk negatively affects tourists' attitudes toward quarantine elimination policies and travel intentions. The tourism provider need to comprehend tourist perceived risk and capable to give valuable information to reduce the risk perception.

Abstract

The objective of the current study is to develop a conceptual framework that could explain the role of customer relationship management in enhancing the loyalty of customers to online fashion commerce platforms (websites or mobile apps). An explanatory research design was conducted to achieve the objective of the current research. A total of 235 samples from online fashion commerce in Indonesia participated via offline and online surveys. The collected data was analyzed using SEM-PLS. Three validation steps were utilized: outer model analysis, inner model analysis, and hypothesis testing. The results of the outer model analysis confirmed that all the items used to measure each of the variables in the model were a good fit. In addition, the results of the inner model analysis also validated the robustness of the proposed conceptual framework in explaining the relationships between the variables. The first key finding of the current research is that a seamless shopping experience does not directly influence the loyalty of online fashion commerce customers. However, interesting results were found regarding the role of customer trust and customer satisfaction in this relationship. These two variables fully mediated the influence of a seamless shopping experience on customer loyalty.

Abstract

Kunduran is a sub-district in Kunduran sub-district, Blora which is the capital of Kunduran sub-district, Kunduran sub-district is very busy like a city, this sub-district is also one of the sub-districts in Blora district out of 25 sub-districts in Blora Regency. To the west are Gagaan and Sambiroto Villages, to the east are Jagong Village, to the south are Bakah and Gagaan Villages, and to the north are Bejirejo and Sambiroto Villages. Based on the condition of the area, the economic potential of the Kunduran sub-district comes from the agricultural sector and home industry. Mrs. Gunarti's Sempolan business is one of the businesses operating in the food industry, namely in Sempolan which is given Sempolan YGG. The results of the Kunduran KKN team's observations of Mrs. Gunarti's home industry can be explained that Mrs. Gunarti's sempolan business is not yet innovative and creative in terms of logo and packaging, and is long-lasting, and its target market is only targeting the local market around the Kunduran market. Even though this business requires product development, new product development is closely related to the success of a company in its efforts to increase sales. The aim of providing service to the assisted living industry is to develop products, namely strengthening, managing and expanding the market for Mrs. Gunarti's business or SMEs so that they can compete with other home industry products

Abstract

This study aims to develop e-modules of mangrove species diversity as local potential in learning. The development model used is the Lee & Owens (2004) development model. There are five phases in the development of research, namely the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The used learning model is Problem-Based Learning by presenting authentic mangrove problems in Banten. The e-module that has been developed will be tested for validity, practicality and effectiveness so that it can be disseminated for student learning activities. E-modules are tested for validity by conducting a 100% material expert validation test, 98.77% media and teaching material validation results and 100% validation results from field practitioners. Before being used in learning, the e-module was tested for practicality with a one-on-one trial getting a score of 93.33%, a small group trial of 89.41%, a field trial of 86.2% and a field test of 95.04%. Based on the results of student response testing, it can be concluded that the e-module of mangrove diversity is practically used in learning. The results of effectiveness testing to see the improvement of students' environmental attitudes were analyzed. The results of effectiveness testing to see an increase in students' environmental attitudes are measured qualitatively with an N-Gain measurement of 0,46 which is included in medium effectiveness and quantitatively measured using a simple paired t test with p-value of 1.88 which means there is a significant difference before and after using e-module in learning.

Abstract

Giving bacteria to microalgae culture can increase the growth of microalgae. Giving aeration can increase oxygen levels in the culture. Good culture conditions can optimize microalgae growth, so the biomass obtained is also higher. The amount of microalgae biomass is directly proportional to the amount of lipids produced. This study aims to determine the effect of the aeration period and the addition of potential bacteria on the growth and lipid profile of Chlorella vulgaris. The aeration periods were 6, 12, 18, and 24 hours. The bacteria used in the co-culture treatment of this study were indole acetic acid (IAA) producing bacteria, amylolytic bacteria, and nitrogen-fixing bacteria from the exploration and identification of several lakes in East Java. Microalgae C. vulgaris co-cultured with IAA, amylolytic and nitrogen-fixing bacteria were given aeration for 6 hours, 12 hours, 18 hours and 24 hours (in different treatment bottles). Microalgae treatment without giving bacteria is done only by giving aeration for 6 hours, 12 hours, 18 hours, and 24 hours (in different treatment bottles). The results showed that there was effect of the aeration period, the culture type, and the interaction between the aeration period and the addition of bacteria on the growth and lipid profile of C. vulgaris. The highest average cell density of C. vulgaris on day 16 was TBA18 mono-culture treatment with an aeration period of 18 hours (26.95 x 106 cells/mL), and BTA co-culture treatment without aeration (12.75 x 106 cells/mL). The harvested biomass of C. vulgaris was used for lipid profile assays. The results of the GC-MS test of TBA18 and BTA treatment showed that the two samples had the same six main compounds but different concentrations. The six compounds are oleic acid, palmitoleic acid, ?-linolenic acid, linoleic acid, stearidonic acid and myristic acid.
