Abstract

Breast Milk (ASI) is a source of nutrients that are loaded with various bioactive factors. Its unique composition, breast milk is needed to prepare for optimal growth and development for babies. Plants on the leaves of katuk (Auropus Androgynus) are traditionally used by Indonesian people to increase breast milk production. The content of the katuk leaves contains almost 7% protein and up to 19% crude fiber. These leaves are rich in vitamin K and pro-vitamin A (beta-carotene), B, and C. The minerals they contain are calcium. The purpose of this study was to identify the potential of katuk leaf extract on breast milk production in experimental animals (rabbits). Katuk leaves were obtained from Aceh Besar District (Samahani, Indrapuri and Seulimun Village). They carried out the phytochemical process in the Department of Chemistry’s laboratory, FMIPA USK and the extraction process in the pharmacology laboratory of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, USK. The experimental animal samples, which were rabbits that had just given birth, were divided into three groups, which were 6 rabbits in the control group, 6 rabbits in the 15 mg dose group and 6 rabbits in the 30 mg dose group. An evaluation was carried out by measuring the breastmilk of rabbits on days 1, 7 and 14. The results of the study using the Generalized Linear Model test (Post Hoc Bonferroni Repeated ANOVA) showed a p-value of .001 for the three groups. It can be concluded that there was a difference in the amount of breast milk between groups in all measurements with the difference value (CI 95%) on the 1st day 0.04 (0.002-0.084), the 7th day 0.05 (0.020-0.090), and the 14th day 0.12 (0.065-0.175). Recommendations from this study are that further research can be carried out regarding the potential of katuk leaf extract to the clinical trial stage so that it is suitable for use in humans, especially postpartum women to increase breast milk productivity.

Abstract

The students’ vocabulary at MA PP Nurul Azhar Talawe Sidrap is still lacking and need to improve. Based on observation, the researcher found several problems in students’ vocabulary. First, students are less interested in learning English and students’ awareness to memorize vocabulary is still lacking because students think there are many words that are difficult to understand. Second, students’ perception about learning English is difficult because there are many words they have to memorize. Therefore, the researcher proposed a solution to overcome this problem by implementing a different learning strategy, namely the extensive reading strategy. The purpose of this research is to find out whether the applying extensive reading strategy can increase students’ vocabulary. The researcher used a pre-experimental design with one group pre-test and post-test. The population of this research was the students of class XI MA PP Azhar Talawe Sidrap. The sample used purposive sampling. The sample of this research was class XI.A consists of 20 students. In collecting data, the researcher used vocabulary test which was divided into pre-test and post-test. The technique of analysis data used mean score and t-test formula for an independent sample. The result showed that the mean score of students in post-test (82) was higher than the mean score in pre-test (56,5). The standard deviation of the posttest was (7,6). At a significance level of 0,05 and degree of freedom (df) 19, the value of t-test (17,70) was higher than the t-table (1,729). As a result, the hypothesis H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. The researcher concluded that the applying extensive reading strategy had improved the students’ vocabulary at MA PP Nurul Azhar Talawe Sidrap.

Abstract

The development of internet technology and mobile devices has played an important role in transforming the music industry and driving the emergence of music streaming services, such as Spotify. This research aims to understand Spotify users' preferences and expectations through sentiment analysis of user reviews. The review data was retrieved from Google Play Store using web scraping technique, including rivew and rating of 1000 Indonesian and 1000 English reviews. Random Forest algorithm was used to model the sentiment of the reviews, with the analysis process including data collection, labeling, preprocessing, Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) weighting, oversampling, modeling, and evaluation with confusion matrix. Algorithm testing was conducted using 70% training data and 30% test data. The classification evaluation results of the Random Forest algorithm showed a model accuracy of 88.4% for Indonesian reviews and 93.6% for English reviews. These findings show that the Random Forest algorithm is effective for sentiment analysis in a multilingual context and can help app developers improve service quality based on user sentiment. This research was also deployed using Streamlit, enabling access and usage by users for fast and interactive sentiment analysis.

Abstract

The 1951 Refugee Convention and the 1967 Refugee Protocol provide a clear foundation for understanding the status and citizenship rights of international refugees. This article explains the position of political exiles from the perspective of international refugee law and examines the process of seeking asylum for those in exile. Drawing on normative juridical research, this article analyzes data from various legal sources to shed light on this issue. Political exiles can be categorized as international refugees because they leave their country not by personal choice, but due to differences in political views that threaten their lives. The process of resolving asylum claims involves filing an application with the host country, followed by an assessment and examination of eligibility for refugee status. It is essential that receiving countries adhere to their international legal obligations, including the 1951 Refugee Convention and the 1967 Refugee Protocol, when handling cases of political exile.

Abstract

Red pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) peel has secondary metabolites such as phenolics, flavonoids, and tannins which are known to have antioxidant potential. The purpose of this study was to see the comparison of antioxidant activity of juice before and after fermentation and then formulated into a gel preparation that is physically and chemically stable. Red pomegranate peel juice was dried by freeze drying method and then fermented with Lactobacillus plantarum ATCC 8014 bacteria and measured OD600, pH, and antioxidant activity using DPPH reagent. The results showed that pomegranate peel juice before fermentation had strong antioxidant activity with a value (of IC50 35.64 ± 0.68 ppm) and after fermentation, it was in the very strong category (IC50 8.00 ± 0.01 to 8.11 ± 0.06 ppm); pH before and after (3.96 ± 0.02 and 3.33 ± 0.01). Formula II with juice concentration of 300 x IC50 has the highest antioxidant activity with IC50 values (64.37 ± 1.13 ppm); pH (6.33); spreadability (6.20 ± 0.07); and viscosity (31333.3 ± 577.35 dPas). There was an increase in antioxidant activity of red pomegranate peel juice after fermentation, the resulting gel is physically and chemically stable based on the results of accelerated stability tests for 4 weeks .

Abstract

At the commencement of Indonesian independence, the Masyumi Party was the sole prominent Islamic party. It attempted to include Islam as the foundation of the Indonesian state into its constitution. This study aims to investigate the effort of the Masyumi during their active participation and administration of the government throughout the Old Order period in the context of fiqh al-siyāsah. This research is a qualitative legal study employing the approach of fiqh al-siyāsah or Islamic politics. Meanwhile, data collection techniques were carried out through literature studies and in-depth interviews. The results of this study indicate that Masyumi's efforts in the Constituent Assembly, whose task is to draft the Indonesian State Constitution, were carried out very seriously and earnestly, causing the work of the Constituent Assembly members to drag on because there was no point of convergence between the Masyumi Islamic Party and the national parties. As a result of the absence of a meeting point, President Soekarno, with the support of the Indonesian Army, issued a decree on July 5, 1959, dissolving the Constituent Assembly and reverting to the 1945 Constitution. It turned out that the failure of Masyumi's hard work to make Islam the basis of the state was due to internal factors: communist, nationalist, and secularist ideology. In addition, it was also influenced by several external factors: the infiltration of the global superpowers and Islamophobia.  Despite the fact that Masyumi was deemed a failure, various contributions in the context of fiqh al-siysah in Indonesia, particularly resistance to communism, contributed color to an Islamic state administration system as well as adherence to the constitution and theistic democracy.
