Abstract

Today Arabic is no longer the language of the Islamic holy book but has become an international language, the ministry of religion revised the curriculum by adding a special point, namely Arabic learning is directed at communicative. The research method used is content analysis with a qualitative approach. The data collection technique is documentation, while the aim is to determine the suitability of MTs textbooks with CEFR standard measuring instruments. From the results of the analysis it was found that the content of the MTs Arabic textbook material was generally at the level of A1-A2 on the CEFR standard, this level was in accordance with the needs of MTs students, but in terms of presentation it was still not appropriate because the portion of the material was still dominated by understanding the text. it is necessary to readjust the preparation of material that focuses more on the Arabic language needs of students and more contextual and provides a larger portion of language skills practice activities.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe matters related to the managemen of the Arabic Language Program at the Daarul Ukhuwwah Putri 2 Islamic Boarding School in Malang. From the aspect of planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating. In this study, researchers used descriptive qualitative methods. Where the data obtained by the researcher comes from observation and interview data, which is then carried out by analyzing data condensation, data display and Drawing and Verifying Conclusions. The results showed that the managemen of Arabic language learning program planning at Daarul Ukhuwwah adopted the Kuliiyatul Muallimin Al Islamiyah Curriculum at Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor, Ponorogo. At the organizing stage, an organizational structure is formed for each division. One of them is the Central Language section which is held directly by the ustadzah. The implementation stages of the Arabic language program include: Arabic language learning in class, distribution of mufrodat, muhadasah activities, muhadhoroh activities and language festivals. At the evaluation stage, Pondok Pesantren Daarul Ukhuwwah Putri 2 Malang consists of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual evaluations.

Abstract

Islam came to Minangkabau, bringing ritual traditions and language, which led to the spread of Arabic from Surau as a language of worship and knowledge. The study aimed to learn the Arabic learning methods in Surau in Minangkabau from 1680-1900 AD. A research method is a qualitative approach to are the type of history study: the data collection method uses interviews and documentation. As for data analysis, presentation, and inference, there is a reviewer of data using descriptive analysis and content analysis. The method of Arabic learning is Maojok Method, understanding Arabic text with Mantiq, linking Arabic studies with other sciences such as tasawwuf, The Sorogan technique, halaqah technique, the debate, and the lecture method. In the learning of Arabic learning Methods, these methods are known as special terms, namely Thariqah al-Qawa'id wa al-Tarjamah, Thariqah al-Mu'addalah, Thariqah al-Muhadharah, Thariqah al-Niqasy.

Abstract

One of approaches in comprehending al-Qur’an is semantic or meaning approach. There are three ways to goin the meaning; first is through microstructure, that is to get the meaning of text through structural analysis of sentence and phrase. Second, stylistic, that is the special stylistic of al-Qur’an to be the tool to find the meaning of the text. Third, semantic, that is the choice of word or vocabulary used in al-Qur’an has basic meaning and relational meaning. This paper is intended to observe the words that contain doa explicitly, that is the verse of doa with the key word “fi’il madhi, and amar”. The research belongs to library research of qualitative approach. After analyzing the key word, the conclusions are: 1) the basic meaning of the key word in the verse of doa in al-Qur’an has lexical meaning, while the relational meaning is the meaning produced by the textual and contextual, in this case the relational meaning of the verse of doa constitutes, of synonym, antonym, and ambiguity. 2) In the verse of doa in al-Qur’an, the relational meaning is not always attached to the key words; although it is related to the other words, it sometimes still has lexical meaning.

Abstract

The study aims to reveal and explain the nabr and tanghim pattern of students’ Arabic conversation of Arabic Education Department, and to reveal the possibility of meaning change in the nabr and tanghim pattern which is mispronounced. The study is a kind of phenomenological study with a qualitative approach. Data and data sources of this research is three-semester students’ Arabic conversation of Arabic Education Department of UIN Maliki with data collection through the documentation, interview, observation, and Participation. While the data analysis technique includes comparison, segmentation, and interpretation step.The Result; that the application of nabr and tanghim patternof students’ Arabic conversation of Arabic Education Department is still many difficulties. From the conducted conversations, many idioms spoken are far from the Arabic nabr and tanghim pattern. Nabr and tanghim patterns are often mispronounced is a common phrase used in conversation though different themes, such as; wa'alaikumsalam, afwan, syukron, ahlanbiik, kaifa, madza ... While the misapplication of nabr and tanghim patterns that can lead to changes in the meaning is on the greeting wa'alaikumsalam and should be wa'alaikumussalam, which means specifically into common sense..

Abstract

Basically translating is not merely transferring meaning behind the words or sentences in a source language into a target language, but also considering many things to identify the real meaning such as, situational, linguistic, and cultural contexts.We should take into account some principles regarding the word meaning, that is, 1) meaning is changeable due to the time change, and the change is not an absolute requirement for any word; 2) a word in a language with different dialects may have different meanings, it is due to the meaning extension and reduction; 3) a word does not refer to  the thing it refers to, but it is only a symbol; and 4) a word often has more than one meaning. Therefore, meaning has an important role in a process of translation from a source language into the a target language. For that reason, a translator has to consider which component of meaning accuracy is in line with the meaning in the source language to be translated into the target language.

Abstract

Bahasa merupakan salah satu unsur pokok dari kebudayaan yang berperan  penting dan besar dalam kehidupan sosial. Bahasa tak ubahnya seperti makluk hidup yang mengalami perkembangan dan perubahan bahkan pergulatan antar satu bahasa dengan bahasa lain yang mungkin ada bahasa yang kuat bertahan atau sebaliknya lemah dan hilang dari tengah-tengah masyarakat. Sebagai contoh, pergulatan yang terjadi antara bahasa Arab dan bahasa Indonesia yang diawali sejak abad ke VII M, meski tidak dasyat,  tetapi aksara Arab pernah digunakan masyarakat nusantara dalam waktu yang relatif cukup lama yang dikenal dengan tulisan “Pegon”. Tulisan ini memfokuskan pada pergulatan pemakaian bahasa Arab dan bahasa Indonesia yang pernah digunakan masyarakat muslim di Indonesia terutama dalam hal pergeseran makna dan penggunaan kosakata. Ada beberapa faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan sebuah bahasa dapat mengalahkan bahasa lain dan akibatnya dalam kehidupan social dan perkembangan bahasa itu sendiri.  Dampak dari pergulatan itu, tak sedikit mufradat (kosakata) bahasa Arab yang terserap ke dalam bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

In the process of the development of intellectualism, Moslem scholars were successful to make a dynamic atmosphere in Islamic thoughts to point out. Their popular and well-socialized thoughts develop and bring positive impact on the knowledge and the perception of religion in the society. The development of the scholar's Islamic thought has different characteristic and pattern which is interesting to analyse. The purpose of this paper is to explore the Islamic thought especially those which were written in daily newspaper  Jawa Pos  during the Ramadhan 1425 H. The essays written by some Moslem scholars have different characteristic as the understandings about fasting are varied. The scholars have different perception on it. The different point of view creates different way of thinking covering formalistic, transformatic, realistic, and Idealistic which all lead to sociocultural change. Dalam proses pengembangan intelektualisme, ulama muslim berhasil membuat suasana dinamis dalam pemikiran Islam untuk ditunjukkan. Pikiran mereka yang populer dan disosialisasikan dengan baik berkembang dan membawa dampak positif pada pengetahuan dan persepsi agama di masyarakat. Perkembangan pemikiran Islam cendekiawan memiliki karakteristik dan pola yang berbeda yang menarik untuk dianalisis. Tujuan makalah ini adalah untuk menggali pemikiran Islam terutama yang ditulis di surat kabar Jawa Pos selama bulan Ramadhan 1425 H. Esai yang ditulis oleh beberapa ilmuwan muslim memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda karena pemahaman tentang puasa bervariasi. Para ilmuwan memiliki persepsi yang berbeda mengenai hal itu. Sudut pandang yang berbeda menciptakan cara berpikir yang berbeda yang mencakup formalistik, transformasional, realistis, dan Idealistik yang semuanya mengarah pada perubahan sosiokultural.

Abstract

Doa etymologically means request something to God in certain ways. while some ulama define doa is a self statement presence to Allah the Almighty about our weakness, shortages, inabilities, and disgraces, then we ask Allah the Almighty in order the weaknesses, shortages, inabilities, and humiliations are removed and replaced with the strengths, capabilities and a high degree both in human sight and in Allah sight. In the theory needs said, that basically human beings need to feel safe (safety need), and the safety need leads to the two forms, namely: safety needs of life and safety needs of the property. Safety needs emerged as the most important requirement if psychology needs have been fullfilled. this behavior as reflected in the lives of Javanese who always do doa  in the form of slametan ceremony. Slametan aims to achieve slamet (safety), namely a condition in which the events will move smoothly to follow a predetermined path and will not happen misfortunes to just anyone. Doa secara etimologi artinya memohon sesuatu kepada Allah SWT dengan cara- cara tertentu. Sedangkan beberapa ulama mendefinisikan doa berarti pernyataan diri ke hadirat Allah SWT tentang kelemahan, kekurangan, ketidakmampuan serta kehinaan kita, kemudian kita memohon sesuatu kepada Allah SWT agar kelemahan, kekurangan, ketidakmampuan serta kehinaan ini diangkat dan digantikan dengan kelebihan, kemampuan serta derajat yang tinggi baik di sisi manusia maupun di sisi-Nya. Dalam teori kebutuhan dikatakan; bahwa pada dasarnya manusia membutuhkan rasa aman (safety need), dan rasa aman itu mengarah pada dua bentuk yakni kebutuhan keamanan jiwa dan keamanan harta. Kebutuhan rasa aman muncul sebagai kebutuhan yang paling penting kalau kebutuhan psikologis telah terpenuhi. Hal tersebut sebagaimana tercermin dalam perilaku hidup orang Jawa yang selalu melakukan Doa dalam bentuk upacara slametan. Slametan bertujuan untuk mencapai keadaan slamet, yaitu suatu keadaan dimana peristiwa-peristiwa akan bergerak mengikuti jalan yang telah ditetapkan dengan lancar dan tak akan terjadi kemalangan-kemalangan kepada sembarang orang.

Abstract

Traditional language teaching methods in pesantren, which heavily emphasize grammar and translation, are often ineffective in developing real-world communication skills. The communicative approach offers an alternative by focusing on language use in practical, social contexts to build students' communicative competence, including discourse competence, sociolinguistic abilities, grammatical knowledge, and strategic competence. The aim of this study is to explain the model of a communicative approach on language teaching for speaking skill according to Finocchiaro and Brumfits theory, and to explain procedures that can be applied to students to improve students' language skills. This study uses a qualitative research method with a literature study approach. The results show that communicative approach emphasizes the importance of the ability to communicate effectively in the target language, where learners not only understand the rules of the language theoretically, but can also use the language in real-life situations. Communicative approach is related to students of pesantren who learn a second language, especially Arabic language for their daily activity and its done and can be implemented based on pesantren needs. Thus, the procedures for learning communicative language developed by Finochairo and Brumfit is suitable for a beginner language learning, especially students in pesantren.
