Abstract

This study aims to describe efforts to improve students’ science literacy through contextual learning that connects science materials with the natural environment surrounding elementary school students. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach and was conducted at SDN Mangli 1 Jember and MIN 3 Jember. Informants included the school principals, science teachers, students’ parents, and students in grades IV and V. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, and analyzed thematically using the Miles and Huberman model with source and technique triangulation. The findings revealed that efforts to improve science literacy were carried out by actively involving students in observation, simple experiments, and reflection on natural phenomena in their surroundings. Contextual learning was implemented through the integration of CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) principles such as inquiry, learning community, and authentic assessment. The school environment was utilized as a learning resource that encouraged student engagement and the development of science process skills. Learning activities that connected subject matter to real-life contexts effectively fostered curiosity, critical thinking skills, and environmental awareness. This study recommends that teachers consistently apply locally contextualized learning as a strategy to enhance science literacy at the elementary level. Furthermore, involving parents and the community is essential to support more meaningful science learning for students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing the Problem Posing learning model on students' self-efficacy. A quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent post-test only control group design was used. The research subjects were 11th-grade science students at Muhammadiyah Mlati Senior High School, selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through tests, questionnaires, and observations. The instruments consisted of post-test questions to assess self-efficacy and observation sheets to evaluate teacher activities. Data analysis used a two-way ANOVA technique. The results showed a significance value of 0.000, which is less than the 0.05 significance level. This indicates that the regression coefficient is statistically significant, and the H0 was rejected. These findings suggest that the Problem Posing learning model significantly affects students’ self-efficacy. The model contributes to 85.6% of the observed increase in students' self-efficacy. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Problem Posing learning model plays an important role in enhancing students’ confidence in their academic abilities, making it a potentially effective instructional strategy in science education.

Abstract

Climate change is a global challenge that affects various aspects of life, including economic development. The concept of green budgeting has emerged as an important strategy to ensure the efficiency of public spending while supporting sustainable development in Indonesia. This research analyzes the potential of green budgeting to enhance the efficiency of environmental budget management, focusing on public fiscal policies that align with sustainability. By implementing mechanisms such as climate-based budgeting (CBT), the government can increase the budget for programs aimed at mitigating and adapting to the impacts of climate change, but also faces structural challenges such as a lack of human resources and the absence of a comprehensive oversight system. This study adopts a qualitative approach to identify the relationship between public expenditure efficiency and the implementation of green budgeting in development policy, using literature review methods. Research results show that the distribution of green budgets in the state budget (APBN) is still limited, indicating a potential inefficiency in fund allocation. Therefore, it is necessary to enhance institutional capacity, integrate monitoring systems, and commit to implementing fiscal policies that consider the environment by both the central and local governments.

The data collection techniques used in this research include three methods, namely, observation, interviews and documentation. The research objectives of this article are as follows: First, Implementation of the Sidogiri Qur'an method in improving how to quickly read the Qur'an. second, What are the steps for learning the Sidogiri Qur'an method at the Zainul Anwar Islamic boarding school. third, What are the supporting and inhibiting factors in learning the Sidogiri Qur'anic method at the Zainul Anwar Islamic boarding school. The results of this research confirm that learning the Koran by applying the Sidogiri Qur'an method at the Zainul Anwar Islamic boarding school is on target in accelerating the fluency of students so that they can read the Koran quickly and accurately, including the pronunciation of the letters and the recitation. The implementation of learning the Sidogiri Qur'ani method at the Zainul Anwar Islamic boarding school is carried out in accordance with the Sidogiri Qur'an method guidebook. Abstract

The Asia Sustainability Reporting Rating (ASRRAT) aims to incentivize the adoption of sustainability practices. However, comparative studies on the economic performance of rated versus non-rated companies remain limited. Employing legitimacy theory, this study evaluates the financial performance of ASRRAT members and non-members. The population comprises companies listed on the IDX between 2020 and 2022. Financial data were sourced from the Bloomberg database. Utilizing purposive sampling, 527 firm-year observations were obtained (122 for ASRRAT members) and analyzed using an independent samples t-test. The findings indicate that ASRRAT membership has an influence on certain financial metrics, although its impact on overall financial performance is inconsistent. This raises critical questions regarding the efficacy of ASRRAT in fostering substantive sustainability practices beyond reputational objectives. The practical implications of this research suggest that companies should prioritize measurable sustainability actions with financial impact and that ASRRAT should develop outcome-based criteria correlated with financial performance. Sustainability plays a crucial role in balancing profitability, social well-being, and environmental conservation.
