Abstract

The problem of poverty occurs due to social inequality between the capable population and the underprivileged population, besides that the lack of awareness between residents to help each other is also one of the causes of poverty in Indonesia. In overcoming the problem of poverty, productive zakat is considered capable of empowering the economy of Muslims. The research method used in this study is a literature study study using data from journals, other reliable sources. The results of this study show that productive zakat distributionin the form of business capital is one of the efforts to empower the people's economy, so that mustahiks who initially only depended on zakat funds can make their own money from capital obtained from productive zakat. One of the purposes of productive zakat distribution is to change the position of mustahik to muzakki. Therefore, in the future, it is hoped that the distribution of productive zakat will continue to be carried out and improved so that it can be distributed to more mustahiks who are entitled and have the potential so that the problem of poverty that has always haunted can be eliminated immediately.

Abstract

The Asia Sustainability Reporting Rating (ASRRAT) aims to incentivize the adoption of sustainability practices. However, comparative studies on the economic performance of rated versus non-rated companies remain limited. Employing legitimacy theory, this study evaluates the financial performance of ASRRAT members and non-members. The population comprises companies listed on the IDX between 2020 and 2022. Financial data were sourced from the Bloomberg database. Utilizing purposive sampling, 527 firm-year observations were obtained (122 for ASRRAT members) and analyzed using an independent samples t-test. The findings indicate that ASRRAT membership has an influence on certain financial metrics, although its impact on overall financial performance is inconsistent. This raises critical questions regarding the efficacy of ASRRAT in fostering substantive sustainability practices beyond reputational objectives. The practical implications of this research suggest that companies should prioritize measurable sustainability actions with financial impact and that ASRRAT should develop outcome-based criteria correlated with financial performance. Sustainability plays a crucial role in balancing profitability, social well-being, and environmental conservation.

Abstract

The Phanerochaete chrysosporium ITB isolate can form a biofilm when grown on a support material, in which the attached cells are in a sessile state, which allows the cells to thrive better compared to other conditions. This study uses the Taguchi model to explore the ligninase (LiP, MnP, and laccase) production by P. chrysosporium ITB isolates immobilized on polypropylene (PP). This research was carried out in a laboratory experimental manner, which consisted of stages that included the preparation of spore suspension and optimization of conditions for the production of ligninase using Taguchi. The results showed that lignin peroxidase (LiP) and laccase (420.1 and 78.69 U/mg) enzymes were optimally produced using an inoculum size of 5 × 103 spore/mL, with a growth duration of 6 d at pH 3 and required 0.4 g/mL of PP to yield a 0.36% biofilm weight. The optimal production of MnP (410.23 U/mg) warranted an inoculum size of 5 × 102 spore/mL with incubation of 4 d at pH 5, and immobilization on 0.20 g/mL PP, to give a final biofilm weight of 0.09%. These results indicate a potential LiP and laccase production by the biofilm of P. chrysosporium on the polypropylene as supporting materials.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of mosaic activities on the fine motor development of children at AL-HIKMAH Kindergarten. Fine motor skills involve the coordination of small muscles, particularly in the hands and fingers, which are essential for daily activities such as writing, drawing, and handling objects. This research employed a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental approach. Data were collected using activity sheets completed by the children during the mosaic sessions. The data were analyzed using a t-test, which showed a significant difference after the mosaic activities were implemented. Children who participated in the mosaic activities demonstrated greater improvement in fine motor skills compared to those who did not. These results indicate that mosaic activities have a positive impact on the fine motor development of kindergarten-aged children. The findings are expected to serve as a useful reference for teachers and early childhood education practitioners in designing learning activities that support children's motor skill development

Abstract

General Background: Rubber productivity in Indonesia remains low due to suboptimal cultivation practices, including the improper use of stimulants, which can harm plant health. Specific Background: One strategy to increase yield is the application of low tapping frequency combined with Ethrel 10 PA stimulant, which can prolong latex flow and enhance cell metabolism; however, its effectiveness depends on clone type and plant physiological condition. Knowledge Gap: Limited knowledge exists on the optimal combination of tapping frequency and stimulant dosage to sustain productivity without compromising plant health, particularly for PB 260 and GT 1 clones. Aims: To determine the optimal tapping frequency and stimulant dosage for these clones. Results: Field trials revealed that a d/3 tapping frequency yielded the highest latex output, while a dosage of 2 g/tree produced the maximum yield; however, there was no significant interaction between the two factors. High tapping frequency, though productive, risks reducing plant health. Novelty: This study recommends tapping every four days combined with a 1 g/tree Ethrel dosage to balance productivity and plant health. Implications: These findings provide practical guidance for sustainable rubber cultivation, maximizing yield while preserving the productive lifespan of trees. Highlights: Optimal combination of tapping interval and stimulant dosage. Balances high yield with plant health preservation. Practical recommendation for sustainable rubber farming. Keywords: Rubber Productivity, Tapping Frequency, Ethrel 10 PA, Latex Yield, Sustainable Cultivation
