This article explores the diversity of ethnicities and religions in the Engganese society, which has become color in their life dynamicsâ€”local wisdom based on customary rules succeeded in uniting differences into peace. Ethnic and religious differences, which have been considered dividing the nation, did not occur in the Enggano community. This study uses a qualitative method by interviewing several vital informants who are religious or traditional leaders. The purpose of this study is to show that ethnic and religious differences can create harmony and peace in society. The results of this study are that the Enggano community is an open society that easily accepts the presence of newcomers; then that migrants get the same rights and obligations as indigenous people; also that migrants are required to give up their cultural identity when entering Enggano; that religion is a new value in the Enggano community which is not regulated by custom; and that adat has an important role in shaping the behavior of the Engganese people. These factors are the keys to peace in a multi-ethnic and multi-religious society.

AbstrakLatar belakang: Obesitas merupakan salah satu masalah besar dalam bidang kesehatan. Pada tahun 2016, diperkirakan sekitar 41 juta jiwa anak yang berusia dibawah 5 tahun merupakan penderita berat badan lebih atau obesitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan beberapa intevensi obesitas berbasis keluarga berdasarkan beberapa penelitian yang sudah ada sebelumnya.Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dengan systematic review dengan menggunakan metode PRISMA. Sumber data penelitian berasal dari literatur yang diperoleh melalui internet dengan membuka situs web yaitu Science Direct, Proquest dan Google Scholar. Setelah memperhatikan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi, digunakan 10 jurnal internasional sebagai acuan.Hasil: Intervensi obesitas berbasis keluarga dapat dilakukan dengan berbagai macam cara, antara lain ialah dengan mengubah budaya makan yang kurang sehat, memperbaiki pola makan, melakukan aktifitas fisik, berperilaku sehat, memberikan motivasi untuk hidup sehat, segera melakukan pengobatan jika terjadi kasus obesitas dan memperhatikan social ekonomi dalam keluarga.Kesimpulan: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui intervensi yang paling efektif dan sering dilakukan adalah dengan mengubah budaya hidup yang tidak sehat terkait dengan pola makan dan aktifitas fisik dalam lingkungan keluarga. Family Based Obesity Intervention AbstractBackground: Obesity is one of the big problems in the health sector. In 2016, an estimated 41 million people under the age of 5 were overweight or obese. This research aims to elaborate a number of family-based obesity interventions based on several existing studies.Method: This research is a systematic reviewed using the PRISMA method. The source of research data came from the literature obtained through the internet by opened websites namely Science Direct, Proquest and Google Scholar. After considering the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 10 international journals were used as a reference.Results: Obesity interventions carried out by families in various ways, among others by changing unhealthy eating culture, improving eating patterns, doing physical activities, behaving healthily, providing motivation for healthy living, immediately taking medication in case of obesity. and pay attention to social economy in the familyConclusion: Based on the results of the study, it is known that the most effective and frequent intervention is to change unhealthy living cultures related to diet and physical activity in the family environment.

Jakarta 2039 (40 Tahun 9 Bulan Setelah 13-14 Mei 1998) karya Seno Gumira Ajidarma mengisahkan tentang tindakan rasisme dan diskriminasi yang dialami oleh masyarakat etnis Tionghoa khususnya perempuan. Tragedi ini terjadi pada Mei 1998, dimana tragedi ini terdapat penjarahan, kekerasan, dan pemerkosaan terhadap masyarakat etnis Tionghoa yang dipicu oleh krisis moneter pada akhir masa pemerintahan Orde Baru. Argumentasi utama dari penciptaan ini berdasar pada peristiwa kekerasan yang menimpa perempuan etnis Tionghoa pada Mei 1998. Penciptaan ini berfokus pada kronologi kejadian dan trauma yang dialami oleh tokoh bernama Clara yang diakibatkan oleh pemerkosaan. Penciptaan karakter tokoh Clara dengan menggunakan pendekatan akting representasi dan menggabungkan panggung teater dengan teknologi media berbentuk imersif. Playing the Character of Clara in the Script “Jakarta 2039 (40 Years 9 Months After May 13-14, 1998)” by Seno Gumira AjidarmaThe text "Jakarta 2039 (40 Years 9 Months After 13-14 May 1998)" by Seno Gumira Ajidarma tells the story of the human tragedy, racism and discrimination experienced by the ethnic Chinese community, especially women. This tragedy occurred in May 1998, where this tragedy involved looting, violence and fraud against the ethnic Chinese community which was triggered by the monetary crisis at the end of the New Order government. The main argument of this article is based on the violent incident that befell an ethnic Chinese woman in May 1998. The case in this article focuses on the chronology of events and the trauma experienced by a character named Clara which was caused by this human tragedy. The character creation of Clara uses a representational acting approach and combines the theater stage with immersive technological media.

This study aims to find out human resource management strategies to reduce the transfer of employee duties. This research is a qualitative descriptive research, descriptive research does not provide treatment, manipulation or alteration to the variables studied, but describes a condition as it is. Data collection is carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. As a result of the previous discussions, the author concludes that effective HR management strategies to suppress the transfer of employee duties are a key factor in the success of the organization. By implementing the right strategies in human resource management, organizations can reap significant benefits, from increased productivity to better employee retention. It is important for organizations to continue to improve strategies in effective human resource management to reduce the transfer of employee duties in accordance with the development of the times and employee needs.

This study aims to examine the effect of income, Value Added Tax (VAT) increase, and cigarette excise tax increase on conventional cigarette consumption among individuals aged 20–30 years in Cirebon City. The research employed a descriptive quantitative method using a questionnaire distributed to 100 randomly selected respondents. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS software. The results indicate that income (X₁) and VAT increase (X₂) have a significant effect on cigarette consumption with significance values of 0.004 and 0.006, respectively (<0.05). However, the excise tax increase (X₃) showed no significant effect (sig. 0.230 > 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.223, indicating that 22.3% of the variation in cigarette consumption can be explained by the three independent variables, while the remaining 77.7% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.

ABSTRACTBackground: 1Stunting is a condition of growth failure in children due to chronic nutrient deficiencies for a long time, especially during the first 1000 days of life. The results of the Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey (SSGI) also showed a decrease in the stunting rate from 27.7% in 2019 to 21.6% in 2023. The 2022 SSGI data recorded that 18.7% of children in Bogor Regency were still stunted. The current reduction in stunting is still far from the target of the 2020-2024 National Medium-Term Development Plan, where the number of stunted children in Indonesia is only 14%. Children are classified as stunted if the length/height z-score-for-age is <-2 SD. Stunting can occur due to poor gastrointestinal conditions. Prebiotics and probiotics play an important role in helping to maintain gastrointestinal health. Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between the consumption of prebiotic and probiotic food sources and the z-score of height/length for age. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study included 100 children aged 6-59 months in the stunting locus village of Bogor Regency. Height/length data were obtained using a stadiometer and infantometer. Assessment of food consumption of prebiotic and probiotic sources was conducted through interviews using the Semi Quantitative-Food Frequency Questionnaire form. Bivariate test used Pearson correlation test and multivariate test used multiple linear regression test.Results: The data showed that 48% of children were stunted, and 52% were normal. Bivariate test showed correlations of food consumption of prebiotic sources (r =0.274, p=0.006) and probiotics (r=0.264, p=0.008) with height/length z-score. Multivariate test results showed that consumption of prebiotic sources influenced length/height z-score for age (β=0.007, 95%CI: 0.002-0.011, p=0.003). Conclusion: Consumption of prebiotic food sources in children can improve the z-score of height-for-age.Keywords : Consumption; height; probiotics; prebiotics; stunting

Background of study: The main factor behind this research is the changing characteristics and learning style needs of Generation Alpha, today's kindergarten students. To create a fun, meaningful, and conscious learning environment, schools and teachers must incorporate digital technologies such as smart TVs or interactive large screen panels into their learning processes. Video-assisted learning (VAL) is considered attractive because it can make learning easier for kindergarten-aged children to understand and enjoy.Aims: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of conventional lectures compared to video-assisted learning in improving student learning outcomes at Perjuangan Kindergarten in Bengkulu City.Methods: This study used an experimental method with a sample of fifteen students from Class B1 and fifteen students from Class B2, each of whom received different treatments. Pre-tests and post-tests with pictures tailored to aspects of child development were used to assess learning outcomes. To conclude the effectiveness of the two methods, the data were tested with N-Gain scores using SPSS.Result: Students in classes taught using the VAL method obtained an N-Gain score of 68.5%, indicating that this method is quite effective in improving their learning outcomes. Students in classes taught using the lecture method only obtained an N-Gain score of 26.9%, indicating that this method is not effective in improving student learning outcomes. This study shows a significant difference between the two methods.Conclusion: This study concluded that the Video Assisted Learning method was more effective in improving student learning outcomes than the lecture method.

The spread of hoax news among the elderly in Indonesia has been increasing due to the ease of access to information on the internet, where many elderly individuals still lack the necessary skills to filter the information they receive. Digital literacy plays a crucial role in addressing this issue, as it helps the elderly develop critical thinking skills to assess the credibility of news before sharing it. This study aims to evaluate the role of digital literacy in assisting the elderly in identifying misinformation and exploring supporting technologies in the verification process, enabling them to be more independent in filtering circulating news. This research employs the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method to analyze various academic literature relevant to the research topic from 2014 to 2024, focusing on strategies to enhance digital literacy and the effectiveness of technology in helping the elderly recognize hoax news. The findings indicate that elderly individuals with strong digital skills are more capable of distinguishing accurate information and tend to be more cautious before sharing news with others, while technologies such as chatbots on social media can serve as effective tools for quickly and easily verifying information. Therefore, improving digital literacy through educational approaches and utilizing artificial intelligence-based technology is a crucial step in combating hoaxes in the digital era while enhancing the quality of information consumption among the elderly.

ABSTRAK Perkembangan teknologi digital tidak hanya membawa kemudahan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, tetapi juga memunculkan tantangan baru berupa maraknya praktik judi online dan pinjaman online ilegal (pinjol). Fenomena ini berdampak pada aspek psikologis, sosial, dan ekonomi masyarakat, terutama memicu stres, kecemasan, konflik keluarga, hingga kerugian finansial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur tingkat pemahaman masyarakat Dusun Gentingan, Desa Sidoagung, Kecamatan Godean, mengenai bahaya judi online dan pinjol melalui pendekatan quasi-experiment dengan desain One-Group Pretest-Posttest. Sebanyak 25 peserta dilibatkan sebagai subjek penelitian. Instrumen berupa pretest dan posttest dengan 7 butir soal diberikan sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan penyuluhan. Analisis data menggunakan metode statistik deskriptif dengan Penilaian Acuan Patokan (PAP). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat setelah penyuluhan. Nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 66,29 meningkat menjadi 72,57 pada posttest. Distribusi nilai huruf juga memperlihatkan perbaikan, di mana peserta yang memperoleh nilai A, B, dan C meningkat dari 56% pada pretest menjadi 76% pada posttest, sedangkan peserta dengan nilai D dan E menurun dari 44% menjadi 24%. Pergeseran histogram dan distribusi normal ke arah kanan semakin menegaskan bahwa pemahaman masyarakat meningkat sekaligus lebih merata. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan penyuluhan terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran masyarakat terkait bahaya judi online dan pinjol. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penambahan durasi kegiatan dan penggunaan kelompok kontrol pada penelitian selanjutnya untuk memperkuat validitas hasil.Kata kunci: judi online, pinjaman online ilegal, quasi-experiment, pretest-posttest, pemahaman masyarakat.

This study aims to analyze the use of the Webtoon application as a learning medium and to examine students’ perceptions of its use in reading comprehension skills of eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 6 Bengkulu Tengah. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques consisting of observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included one English teacher and eight eleventh-grade students who were selected through purposive sampling. The findings indicate that the use of the Webtoon application as a reading learning medium has a positive impact on students’ reading comprehension skills. Webtoon can increase students’ interest, motivation, and engagement in the learning process. Visual support in the form of images, character expressions, and storylines helps students understand the reading content, identify main ideas, comprehend new vocabulary, and follow the storyline coherently. In addition, students showed very positive perceptions of the use of Webtoon because the learning activities became more interesting, enjoyable, and less monotonous. However, this study also identified several challenges in using Webtoon as a learning medium. These challenges include limited internet access, which occasionally disrupted students’ ability to access the application; limited storage capacity on students’ devices, which prevented some students from installing the application; and students’ tendency to focus more on visual elements than on the reading text itself. Nevertheless, these challenges did not significantly hinder the learning process, as they could be addressed through clear instructions, continuous guidance, and effective classroom management by the teacher. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Webtoon application is an effective, relevant, and practical learning medium to support students’ reading comprehension skills at the secondary school level.
