Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of Arabic literature in spreading Islamic da'wah, especially in conveying moral and spiritual messages to society. The method used is a literature study with a descriptive qualitative approach, by collecting data from various reference sources whose validity and scholarship can be accounted for relating to Arabic literature and Islamic preaching. Research findings show that Arabic literature has an important role in Islamic da'wah, because it is able to convey religious messages in a subtle and interesting way through symbols, metaphors and moral stories. Literary works such as poetry, prose and sagas are not only a means of entertainment but also an effective means of learning and spreading Islamic teachings. Arabic literature enriches people's understanding of Islamic values with an aesthetic and intellectual approach, so that it can attract the interest of various groups of readers. This research shows that the integration of Arabic literature in da'wah strategies can increase the appeal of Islamic messages, especially in the modern era, where creative and humanist approaches are becoming increasingly relevant.

Abstract

This research examines the inner conflict experienced by the main character, Aus, in the animated film Ar Rihlah using Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic approach. Inner conflict is the main issue in this research because it reflects the complex psychological dynamics of the main character. This conflict is considered relevant to study because it relates to the character's moral and emotional struggles in facing the pressures of life, memories of the past, and efforts to achieve inner peace. This study focuses on the conflicts of id, ego, and super-ego, as well as the factors that trigger them and their resolution strategies. Using a qualitative descriptive method, this study analyzes narrative elements such as dialogues, monologues, and visual representations in the film. The results showed that the id conflict arose in Aus's childhood due to the pressure of living in a bandit group, while the ego and super-ego conflicts developed in adulthood due to traumatic memories of his past full of moral dilemmas. The resolution of the conflict was driven by moral support from the family and Aus's efforts to make peace with his past. This research emphasizes the importance of understanding the dynamics of human personality in a literary context, while providing insight into the emotional and moral complexities of fictional characters. By exploring these psychological layers, this research contributes to literary psychoanalysis and provides a deeper appreciation of character development in story narratives.

Abstract

The vocabulary is considered the learner's capital for the target language in terms of speaking, communicating, or conversing in it. The problem that learners often face in this regard is the difficulty of retrieving the vocabulary they need when speaking. They often struggle to find a suitable word that expresses the meaning in their minds. This problem must be addressed as quickly as possible so as not to discourage the learner from practicing speaking. To that end, this study was conducted using a qualitative approach, including desk and field research. Data for this study was collected by observing the reality at Mafaza Institute in Indonesia during the education process, as well as through documenting relevant books and articles. After conducting this study, researchers concluded that the use of crosswords could provide learners with the ability and skill to speak, thus overcoming the major obstacle of difficulty in retrieving vocabulary while speaking. Additionally, crosswords can help prevent boredom among learners and boost their enthusiasm for learning. It is recommended in this study that every teacher craft crosswords based on the vocabulary taught in the classroom rather than just copying and pasting ready-made crosswords from the internet, which often do not align with students' needs. The purpose is to train and practice learners in retrieving vocabulary, making it easier for them to express themselves when speaking, and allowing them to engage in dialogue with friends or teachers more effectively.
