Abstract

The preservation of national parks has emerged as a significant component of Indonesia’s climate mitigation efforts, primarily due to its substantial carbon stocks. However, little is known about the potential carbon stored in deadwoods within these areas. This study aims to estimate fallen deadwood carbon stocks in four national parks in Indonesia. The results show that the density of deadwood in study areas ranges from 0.26 – 0.79 g cm-3. Deadwood volume varies between 247.37 – 388.50 cm3. Bukit Tigapuluh National Park has the highest fallen deadwood biomass and carbon stock, accounting for 261.35 and 122.83 tons ha-1, respectively, followed by Sebangau National Park (187.41 and 88.08 tons ha-1), Kutai National Park (139.91 and 65.76 tons ha-1) and Lore Lindu National Park (87.90 and 41.32 tons ha-1). This study also found that large deadwood with diameters of >7.5 cm contributes to more than 80% of the total deadwood carbon stock. Understanding the carbon stock stored in deadwood within national park areas is crucial for refining estimates of potential avoided greenhouse gas emissions resulting from the conservation of national park forests.

Abstract

Tourism is a key economic sector in Indonesia, significantly contributing to foreign exchange and national revenue. Developing a sustainable tourism strategy requires collaboration across academia, businesses, communities, government, media, and NGOs. However, one major challenge in Indonesia’s tourism sector is the lack of synergistic, comprehensive, and integrated stakeholder collaboration. To address this issue, this study aims to develop a sustainable tourism strategy for Pati Regency based on the hexa helix model, which emphasizes multi-stakeholder engagement in tourism destinations. Using a mixed-methods approach, this research incorporates qualitative methods—such as interviews, observations, and documentation—and a quantitative analysis through MACTOR (Matrix of Alliance, Conflicts, Tactics, Objectives, Recommendations) to map stakeholder interactions. Findings reveal a high level of alignment between the Youth, Sports, and Tourism Office (DINPORAPAR) and SMEs, scoring 21.7 on the convergence scale. The primary focus for sustainable development is on enhancing innovation and competitive ability, identified as the most influential objective.

Abstract

Abstract

The aim of the research is to determine viral marketing, brand awareness and purchasing decisions for MS Glow Skincare Products. In discussing this problem the author uses a qualitative descriptive method by looking for information about symptoms, clearly establishing the goals to be achieved, collecting data as material for conducting research. Ms Glow was founded in 2013, founded by two strong women, namely Shandy Purnamasari and Maharani Kemala. The name Ms Glow is said to be an abbreviation of the names Shandy and Maharani Kemala. Ms Glow is also an abbreviation of the brand motto, namely Magic For Skin. The population in this study were users of MS Glow Skincare products. The sample was determined using the judgment sampling method with 100 consumers as respondents regarding viral marketing, brand awareness and purchasing decisions. The hypothesis was tested using the T test and F test. Based on the results of the linear analysis, the equation Y = 5.814 + 0.676 + 1.100 + e was obtained. The value of the F test calculation (X1 and X2) was 149.011 and the R square value was 0.754 or 75.4%, while the remaining 26.6% was influenced by other factors. The conclusion of this research is that viral marketing and brand awareness have a positive and significant influence, both simultaneously and partially, on purchasing decisions.

Abstract

The Assessment Institute for Foods, Drugs, and Cosmetics of the Indonesian Ulama Council (LPPOM MUI) is responsible for conducting research, evaluations, and determining the halal status of products in accordance with Islamic teachings. In Indonesia, where religious diversity is prevalent, the halal certification process is crucial, particularly due to differences in the halal status of certain foods, such as beef and pork, across religions. One of the challenges in this process lies in ensuring a rapid and accurate determination of various types of meat, including beef, pork, goat, and buffalo, which currently tends to be time-consuming within the LPPOM MUI Halal Center. To address this issue, there is a need for a technological solution that can quickly and accurately identify different types of meat, thereby reducing consumer uncertainty when selecting halal products. This study aims to develop an Android-based application utilizing the Learning Vector Quantization 3 (LVQ3) method to facilitate the classification of meat types by analyzing patterns specific to beef, pork, goat, and buffalo. This system is expected to expedite the halal verification process, thereby supporting more efficient and accurate decision-making in the halal certification sector.
