Abstract

This study examines the hardness and tensile strength characterization of SS304 stainless steel welded using different electrode variations in the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) process. The research focuses on three types of electrodes: NSN 308, NSN 309L, and NSN 312, to evaluate their influence on the mechanical properties of the weld metal. Hardness testing was conducted using the Vickers method with a 200-gf load, while tensile strength testing was performed to assess ultimate tensile strength (σu), yield strength (σy), and elongation (ε). The results indicate that the selection of electrodes significantly affects the hardness and tensile properties of the welded joints. NSN 312 exhibited the highest hardness values, particularly in the weld metal and filler areas, suggesting the formation of hard phases such as martensite or chromium-rich ferrite, making it suitable for wear-resistant applications. NSN 309L demonstrated moderate hardness, indicating a more balanced microstructure that provides good toughness and ductility. NSN 308 showed the lowest hardness values, which can be beneficial for applications requiring greater deformability. In the tensile test, NSN 309L achieved the highest ultimate tensile strength 47.77 Kg/mm² and elongation 45%, suggesting an optimal balance of strength and ductility. NSN 312 exhibited the highest yield strength 46 Kg/mm², indicating better resistance to plastic deformation. Meanwhile, NSN 308 had lower tensile properties compared to the other electrodes.  Overall, electrode selection should align with specific application requirements. NSN 312 is recommended for wear-resistant applications, NSN 309L for structures requiring both strength and ductility, and NSN 308 for applications with lower mechanical stress.

Abstract

The population growth implies that the population's need for clean water tend to increase. Clean water availability is not optimal due to geographical factors and discharge reductions during dry season. This research was conducted to design spring water catchment building and water distribution system at Kalikajar Village, Wonosobo. The population data, water demand, and spring discharge were utilized in this research. The population growth was calculated with arithmetic, geometric, exponential, and logistic method. Then water demand was calculated based on SNI 19-6728.1-2002.  The population growth which predictably reaches 5328 people in 2050 will result in increasing clean water demand by 9.68% with domestic water demand of 4.63 L/s. The spring discharge measured at the research location showed an average of 10.80 L/s. Therefore, the spring discharge is able to meet the population needs in the projected year. The spring catchment building was designed with Type B, while three reservoir were designed with the capacity of 7 m3 each. The water distribution is designed with gravity system because the elevation difference between the spring and the village is more than 10 m. The PVC pipeline used diameter of 100 – 150 mm, with total length of 11843 m. The design meets the calculated requirement and could be implemented. Keywords:  Distribution system, Reservoir, Spring water, Hilly areas, Water consumption

Abstract

Abstract

This research discusses the Principle of Good Faith in E-Contract Financial Technology, which is a relatively new type of agreement in Indonesia. An e-contract can be formed when there is an agreement or mutual consent between the parties involved in the contract during its drafting. The existence of an e-contract is a new development in modern contract types, requiring appropriate regulation based on clear legal foundations. However, in practice, current regulations are not yet able to fully protect the parties involved in e-contracts. Therefore, in the creation of e-contracts, it is necessary to have a controlling mechanism based on moral values and conscience, commonly known as the principle of good faith, to support the principle of freedom of contract. The principle of good faith is considered the most important (super eminent principle) in contracts. Given the various issues that arise, this research aims to discuss the importance of the principle of good faith in e-contract financial technology. This subject research is E-Contract Financial Technology, method research used is normative juridical, with data sourced from secondary data, analyzed using deductive logic. The research results indicate that the principle of good faith needs to be applied and instilled in the parties involved in the contract, namely business actors, in this case, fintech providers, and consumers as fintech users. This principle ensures that the contract's substance is carried out based on solid trust or confidence, as well as the good will of the parties involved. By applying the principle of good faith to the parties involved, the risk of wanprestatie on the part of any party can be minimized, as there is already a foundation of trust and good will.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of litigation risk, the size of public accounting firms, and leverage on accounting conservatism in energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2020–2024. The energy sector has unique characteristics, such as high regulatory pressure, environmental risk, and long-term financing complexity, which make the application of conservative accounting especially relevant. Accounting conservatism is used as a prudential mechanism to mitigate information asymmetry, legal exposure, debt covenant violations, and agency conflicts. This study employs a quantitative approach using secondary data from annual and sustainability reports, with a total of 275 firm-year observations selected through purposive sampling. Panel data regression using the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) was applied after conducting model selection tests. The results show that litigation risk and leverage have a positive and significant effect on accounting conservatism, indicating that companies facing high legal exposure and debt obligations tend to adopt more conservative reporting practices. Conversely, the size of public accounting firms does not significantly influence accounting conservatism, suggesting that conservatism in the energy sector is more driven by regulatory and contractual pressures than by auditor reputation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model in instilling religious and social care character among third-grade students at SD Negeri Mojosongo III Surakarta. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the teacher implemented most CTL syntax, including constructivism, inquiry, questioning, and learning community. However, reflection and authentic assessment components were not fully applied. Religious character was developed through daily prayers, teacher role modeling, and integration of values such as honesty and responsibility. Social care character was fostered through group work, sharing habits, and simple social activities in class. Supporting factors included a strong school culture, teacher commitment, and parental involvement. Constraints included limited teacher understanding of all CTL syntax, restricted instructional time, and lack of contextual learning media. The study concludes that the CTL model is effective in character development when applied contextually, but its success depends on teacher training, institutional support, and collaboration between school and family.
