Abstract

This study examines the effect of litigation risk, the size of public accounting firms, and leverage on accounting conservatism in energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2020–2024. The energy sector has unique characteristics, such as high regulatory pressure, environmental risk, and long-term financing complexity, which make the application of conservative accounting especially relevant. Accounting conservatism is used as a prudential mechanism to mitigate information asymmetry, legal exposure, debt covenant violations, and agency conflicts. This study employs a quantitative approach using secondary data from annual and sustainability reports, with a total of 275 firm-year observations selected through purposive sampling. Panel data regression using the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) was applied after conducting model selection tests. The results show that litigation risk and leverage have a positive and significant effect on accounting conservatism, indicating that companies facing high legal exposure and debt obligations tend to adopt more conservative reporting practices. Conversely, the size of public accounting firms does not significantly influence accounting conservatism, suggesting that conservatism in the energy sector is more driven by regulatory and contractual pressures than by auditor reputation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model in instilling religious and social care character among third-grade students at SD Negeri Mojosongo III Surakarta. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the teacher implemented most CTL syntax, including constructivism, inquiry, questioning, and learning community. However, reflection and authentic assessment components were not fully applied. Religious character was developed through daily prayers, teacher role modeling, and integration of values such as honesty and responsibility. Social care character was fostered through group work, sharing habits, and simple social activities in class. Supporting factors included a strong school culture, teacher commitment, and parental involvement. Constraints included limited teacher understanding of all CTL syntax, restricted instructional time, and lack of contextual learning media. The study concludes that the CTL model is effective in character development when applied contextually, but its success depends on teacher training, institutional support, and collaboration between school and family.

Abstract

This research analyzes the effect of financial distress, audit quality, and CEO generalist skills on going concern audit opinions for energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2021 to 2024. The study sample encompasses oil and gas firms selected through a purposive sampling technique, resulting in 14 companies observed over four years, which provided 56 data observations Logistic regression analysis is employed to examine the effects of financial distress and CEO generalist skills on going concern audit opinions. Meanwhile, the effect of audit quality is tested using Fisher’s Exact Test due to the presence of a complete separation phenomenon. The results indicate that financial distress has a positive and significant effect on going concern audit opinions, audit quality has a negative and significant effect, while CEO generalist skills have no significant effect. These findings suggest that financial conditions and audit quality are key determinants of going concern audit opinions in energy sector companies.

Abstract

Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) is a vast horticultural plant hydroponics are grown, but improved hydroponic lettuce using Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF) is not optimal to replace inorganic fertilizers. The aims of this research are to determine the interaction of giving LOF with the two cultivars of lettuce, to get the optimum concentration of LOF for maximum yield base on the right concentration, and to find out the best cultivars has the best yield. This research was conducted in June to September 2019 at the Agrofarm Hidroponik 55 Cupak Tangah, Water Laboratory of Environmental Engineering Study Program, Instrumentation and Control Laboratory of Agricultural Engineering Study Program, Nutrition and Nonruminant Laboratory of Animal Husbandry Faculty, Andalas University, Padang City. The experiment used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors, namely lettuce cultivars (Grand Rapid and Green Coral 710) and fertilizer concentration (liquid organic fertilizer and inorganic ab-mix fertilizer) with consisted on 6 levels. There were 12 combinations and 3 replications resulting in 36 treatment units. The data were analyzed statistically using the F test at the 5% level followed by a Dunnett test. The results showed that there was no interaction between type and concentration of fertilizer with the two cultivars of lettuce. LOF being given on the lettuce products height, number of leaves, weights of plant, hardness of leaves lettuce is lower than of the one given inorganic fertilizer but LOF giving products relative level of fiber is similar to the giving inorganic fertilizer. Grand Rapid cultivars has higher and harder than Green Coral but it doesn?t show a real difference in result on weights, number of leaves and fiber?s level

Abstract

The stability of bulk carriers during high-rate cargo operations represents a critical intersection of naval architecture, mechanical engineering, and operational management. This study investigates the systemic inefficiencies in the ballast water management system of the MV Sun Winner II, a Supramax bulk carrier operating in the Indonesian archipelago, specifically analyzing the technical impediments encountered during cargo handling at Muara Berau port on February 14, 2024. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative methodology, data were acquired through direct shipboard observations, semi-structured interviews with senior deck officers, and rigorous documentation analysis over a 12-month sea service period. The research identifies a significant degradation in ballast performance attributed to sediment accumulation (sludge) exceeding 2 cm in tank bottoms, advanced corrosion of suction valves, and reduced centrifugal pump efficiency, which collectively resulted in a cargo intake shortfall of approximately 2,000 metric tons against a planned 23,000-ton capacity. The study reveals a critical dissonance between the administrative Planned Maintenance System (PMS) records and the physical reality of the vessel's ballast infrastructure, highlighting the "administrative-physical gap" as a latent risk factor. The findings suggest that on aging vessels (25+ years), standard maintenance protocols are insufficient; an enhanced regime of predictive maintenance, aggressive de-silting, and comprehensive valve overhauls is required to ensure compliance with SOLAS stability criteria and to maximize commercial voyage capability.

Abstract

This paper aims to provide a benchmark for average company value and operating profit margins in the energy sector. This paper analyzes the average company value and operating profit margin in the energy industry sector from 2021 to 2024 and compares them with those of PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) and PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS). The research method used is descriptive quantitative comparative analysis. Secondary data were obtained from annual financial reports and publications of the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2021–2024 period in the energy sector for 191 energy sector companies. The results show that the average company value across the energy sector from 2021 to 2024 was 1.56, while the average company value for PTBA was 1.53 and the average company value for PGAS was 0.69. This indicates that PTBA's company value is almost equivalent to the company value across the energy sector, while PGAS must strive to increase its company value. The average operating profit margin for the entire energy sector is 0.17, while the average operating profit margin for PT BA is 2.55 and the operating profit margin for PGAS is 0.15. This indicates that PTBA's operating profit margin is much larger than the average operating profit margin for the entire energy sector

Abstract

The rapid transformation of the labor market in the digital era has significantly influenced how young generations interpret work. As digital natives, Generation Z demonstrates distinct work orientations shaped by technological advancement, flexibility, and personal fulfillment. Understanding the meaning of work among Generation Z is essential, particularly in relation to strengthening character education as a foundation for future human resources development. This study aims to analyse how Generation Z in Surakarta interprets the meaning of work and to examine its implications for character education. This research employed a qualitative approach using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation as data collection techniques. Informants were selected through purposive sampling to ensure relevance to the research focus. Data were analysed through thematic interpretation to identify patterns related to work orientation and value construction. The findings reveal that Generation Z predominantly interprets work as a calling rather than merely a job or career path. Work is perceived as an expression of personal interest, passion, and self-actualization. Consequently, they tend to avoid rigid and long-term employment structures that restrict flexibility and creativity. The study further identifies three major implications for character education: enhancing students’ capacity for reflective career decision-making, strengthening their ability to differentiate between needs and desires, and fostering responsibility and commitment in task completion. These findings underline the importance of integrating work-meaning perspectives into character education to prepare Generation Z for adaptive and value-driven professional engagement.
