Abstract

Abstract

Tofu industry waste pollution is still a serious problem. The high burden of tofu industrial waste pollutants is still a major problem. besides, the unavailability of the budget for processing and the limitations of a cheap and efficient treatment system are factors supporting the pollution of tofu waste in the environment. This study examines the efficiency of reducing BOD5 and COD treated with constructed wetlands using water jasmine plants (Enchinodorus palaefolius). The system used is the wetland subsurface with continuous flow. The media used include sand and biochar with a residence time of 12 hours 18 hours. Whereas pH, temperature, and flow rate are conditioned as control variables. The greatest efficiency of BOD5 and COD occurs in reactors using biochar media and a residence time of 18 hours with an efficiency of BOD5 of 50.52% and COD of 55.02%.

Abstract

Tofu industrial wastewater is a contributor to environmental pollution. Wastewater contains high levels of COD and TSS. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of reducing pollutant loads in tofu liquid waste by using the phytoremediation method using water jasmine (Echinodorus Palaefolius). The initial stage of the research was a preliminary test to determine the initial content of the waste. The acclimatization process is carried out by observing the process of plant growth during the research process. To maximize plant growth, dilution is carried out with various concentrations of 25% wastewater with 75% diluting water and 50% wastewater with 50% diluting water. Sampling was carried out every 12 hours for 5 days. The results showed that the highest effectiveness of COD reduction occurred in RFT 25% with a residence time of 12 hours at 39.83%, while for TSS parameters the highest effectiveness was at RFT 25% with a residence time of 12 hours by 69%.

Abstract

Waste remains a major issue in various regions, particularly organic waste. Unmanaged organic waste can cause environmental pollution and contribute to increased greenhouse gas emissions. In line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 12 (Sustainable Consumption and Production) and SDG 13 (Action on Climate Change), innovative solutions are needed to manage organic waste more effectively and efficiently. Waste banks, as environmental advocates, are currently focusing more on managing inorganic waste because it is considered to have greater market value than organic waste. Black Soldier Fly is an alternative in processing organic waste that has economic value. Community service activities aim to strengthen the economy of the community in Demakan Village, Mojolaban District, Sukoharjo Regency through black soldier fly training as an environmentally friendly and sustainable method of managing organic waste. This activity includes outreach, training, and mentoring for waste bank members in Demakan Village, Mojolaban District, Sukoharjo Regency. The black soldier flies produced can be used as alternative feed for the fisheries and poultry sectors, thus supporting the circular economy concept. This activity is expected to raise public awareness of more productive organic waste management, reduce the negative impact of waste on the environment, and create business opportunities based on local resources. Thus, this activity not only contributes to improving community welfare but also accelerates the achievement of the SDGs through more inclusive and sustainable economic development.

Abstract

Changes in an increasingly fast world require companies to respond to changes that occur; the main problem facing companies today is how the company attracts customers to see and buy so that the company continues to grow. This goal will be achieved if a company wants to do marketing by participating in the UMKM bazaar or competitions so that the products offered are solidly known and can attract a consumer's purchase request. To get consumers willing to make purchases, entrepreneurs must develop strategic plans, including improving product quality, paying attention to product prices, and providing a good brand image. Hence, consumers feel confident about their products. Product to be purchased. This study analyzes product quality, price, and brand image buying batik at the Numansa Batik Kediri boutique. The technique used is probability sampling, and the number of samples obtained is 40 respondents. The data analysis tool used SPSS Version 22. The analysis results showed a positive and significant influence between product quality and batik purchasing decisions at the Numansa Batik boutique, where t counted 3,787 with a substantial value of t 0.001 0.05, which means that there is a significant influence on brand image. On purchasing decisions, there is a positive and significant influence between product quality, price, and brand image on buying decisions at the Numansa Batik boutique, where F counts 11,661 with a substantial value of F 0.00 0.05. Based on the research results, Numansa Batik Boutique seeks to increase prices, provide appropriate service quality, and improve the quality of Numansa Batik Boutique products.

Abstract

Adolescence is a critical developmental stage in which individuals often experience psychological challenges such as overthinking, stress, and emotional dysregulation. Limited self-awareness and low mental health literacy exacerbate these challenges, contributing to poor decision-making, heightened anxiety, and stigma. Innovative approaches are needed to promote adolescent mental health. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of the “Outbond from Overthinking to Understanding” program in improving self-awareness and mental health literacy among adolescents.A quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test control groups was conducted among 120 students (60 intervention, 60 control) from senior high schools (SMA) and vocational high schools (SMK) in Kediri, Indonesia. Participants were selected using cluster sampling. The intervention group participated in a one-day outbound program consisting of six activity stations, while the control group received a leaflet on adolescent mental health. Self-awareness was measured using the Self-Reflection and Insight Scale (SRIS), and mental health literacy was assessed with the Mental Health Literacy Scale (MHLS). Data were analyzed using paired and independent t-tests.The intervention group showed significant improvements in self-awareness (Mean Difference = +13.4, p < 0.001) and mental health literacy (Mean Difference = +17.7, p < 0.001), while the control group demonstrated no significant changes. Post-test comparisons revealed higher mean scores in the intervention group compared to the control group for both self-awareness (78.6 ± 7.9 vs. 66.3 ± 8.6, p < 0.001) and mental health literacy (80.2 ± 8.1 vs. 65.0 ± 8.7, p < 0.001).The “Outbond from Overthinking to Understanding” program significantly enhanced self-awareness and mental health literacy among adolescents. Outbound-based experiential learning offers a promising, engaging, and practical strategy for promoting adolescent mental health and should be considered as a complementary approach to conventional school-based education.
