Abstract

The growth of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare is causing big shifts in management roles and how ready organizations are, especially in private hospitals. In Medan City, rising competition, a small healthcare workforce, and strict accreditation requirements all make it even more important to use digital technology to make operations more efficient. This study seeks to examine the impact of AI on organizational readiness, utilizing management performance as a mediating variable. Quantitative approaches were employed via a survey of managers and administrative personnel at private hospitals, and the data were analyzed using path analysis with SPSS. The findings indicate that AI exerts a favorable and considerable influence on management performance, which in turn directly enhances organizational readiness. Additionally, managerial performance has been demonstrated to mediate the relationship between AI and organizational readiness. These findings address a research gap concerning the mechanisms of AI's role in the managerial context of hospitals in developing countries and offer practical implications for fortifying digital strategies, cultivating human resource competencies, and augmenting organizational capabilities in response to technology-driven healthcare transformation.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to examines the implementation of Outdoor Learning (ODL) as a strategy to enhance early childhood language development at KB Aisyiyah Cakru, Jember. Grounded in the view that early language abilities are fundamental to cognitive, social, and academic growth, ODL was introduced through contextual activities such as visiting a traditional market and exploring a local herbal garden. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observations, semi-structured interviews with teachers and parents, and documentation of children’s learning activities. The findings show that ODL provides authentic, meaningful, and multisensory learning experiences that significantly improve children’s receptive and expressive language skills, including vocabulary acquisition, sentence formation, confidence in communication, and spontaneous verbal interaction. These results align with Vygotsky’s Zone of Proximal Development and the principles of Contextual Teaching and Learning, demonstrating that real-world engagement strengthens language use through social interaction and experiential stimuli. The study concludes that ODL is an effective and relevant pedagogical approach for supporting early language development, particularly in rural PAUD settings rich in local environmental resources.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of zakat management digitalization on the increase in muzakki (zakat payer) participation at BAZNAS (National Zakat Agency) of Bengkulu Province. The research was motivated by the growing need to utilize digital technology to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of zakat management. A quantitative approach with an associative descriptive method was employed. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and questionnaires distributed to 30 muzakki who had used BAZNAS's digital services. Data analysis was conducted using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method with the SmartPLS software. The findings revealed that the digitalization of zakat management does not have a significant effect on increasing muzakki participation. This indicates that although digital systems have been implemented, they are not sufficient on their own to boost participation. Other factors such as trust, digital literacy, and personalized or educational approaches may have a more substantial impact. The study recommends that BAZNAS improve its communication strategies, digital education, and community engagement to maximize the effectiveness of digital platforms.

Abstract

Small-scale salt production in Indonesia still faces classic problems such as dependence on weather, low productivity, and inconsistent quality. This situation has a direct impact on the low competitiveness and unstable income of salt farmers. This programme aims to empower the salt farming community in Pamekasan District, Madura, through the implementation of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based Smart Crystalliser designed to monitor environmental parameters in real time, so that the crystallisation process can be controlled more efficiently and adaptively. The method used is community-based participatory research (CBPR), which emphasises active community involvement from the planning, testing, training, to evaluation stages. Implementation testing was carried out at the Pamekasan community salt ponds, while academic validation was conducted through the 2025 Science, Technology and Industry Convention (KSTI) at the Bandung Institute of Technology. Data was collected through participatory observation, interviews, questionnaires, and technical prototype testing. Analysis was conducted quantitatively using the paired sample t-test and qualitatively using the Miles & Huberman model. The results of the activity showed an increase in salt productivity of ±20%, an acceleration in crystallisation time of up to 25%, and an improvement in salt quality with an NaCl content of ≥97%. Community participation was quite high, with more than 70% of farmers able to operate the monitoring application independently. This programme has had a tangible impact in the form of a 15–20% increase in farmers' income while strengthening the community's independence in managing salt ponds. Thus, the application of the IoT-based Smart Crystallizer has proven to be effective as an appropriate technological innovation that meets the needs of traditional salt farmers. This programme contributes to the independence of the national salt industry in the Industry 4.0 era and opens up opportunities for replication in other salt centres in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of Arabic loanwords into Indonesian madrasah education through a mixed-methods analysis. With 2,000-3,000 documented Arabic loanwords in the Indonesian lexicon, these borrowings offer unique pedagogical potential. The research employed a convergent parallel Design with 147 students and 15 teachers across six Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Surabaya, utilizing questionnaires, interviews, and textbook analysis. Content analysis identified 412 Arabic loanwords across grades 7-9 textbooks (18.7% of the vocabulary corpus), with religious vocabulary at 62%, everyday vocabulary at 34%, grammatical terms at 16%, and environmental vocabulary at 12%. Student recognition patterns showed religious vocabulary highest (88%), followed by everyday (65%), grammatical (48%), and abstract vocabulary (37%). Overall, 78% reported enhanced learning confidence and 84% improved comprehension, with strong multimedia preference (90%). However, 15% experienced semantic confusion when Indonesian meanings diverged from Arabic contexts. Teachers universally recognized the pedagogical value of loanwords, employing comparative linguistic analysis, multimedia integration, and contextual reinforcement strategies. Challenges included semantic drift (50%), grammatical complexity regarding gender distinctions (37.5%), and time constraints. The study recommends enhanced contrastive linguistic analysis in teacher preparation, etymology-based supplementary modules, and standardized loanword pedagogy approaches for Indonesian madrasah contexts.
