Abstract

High impact polystyrene (HIPS) is the widely used material now, and also for the aerospace material as a communication instrument system and an electrical insulation. In order to produce HIPS, there are a view method which can be executed. In this case, the research is executed by the copolymerization processes of styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) solution in styrene. Variables which influence to the result properties (HIPS) are the SBR to styrene ratio, the solvent (ethyl benzene), the benzoyl peroxide initiator (BPO). The properties of the product are tensile strength, impact strength, softening point, melting point and the hardness. The result showed that the properties of the HIPS product was near of the HIPS high heat. The optimal processes condition was the solvent to the styrene monomer ratio was 0.05492, the SBR to the styrene ratio was 0.1236 and the BPO to the styrene ratio was 0,0003. The properties of the HIPS product were: the impact strength was (519-1215) N per cm, the tensil strength not more than was 106 N per cm, the elongation was (36-54) percent and the hardness was (65-69) shore A. This properties achieved at the mixing polymerization processes 4 scale in 11-12 hours, the early mixing at 4 scale 1 hours, the cutting chain 2 drops.

Abstract

The poly methyl methacrylate (PMMA) research has been excecuted. Methyl methacrylate is polymerized by the free radical inisiation with the suspension condition using benzoyl peroxyde inisiator, water as a solution and the gelatine stabilizer, in this reseaarch is executed as a standard ratio (part per part:monomer : water : stabilizer = 100 : 350 : (0.1 1) with the inisiator to monomer ratio variation (part per part) are: 0.1 per 50; 0,175 per 50; 0,25 per 50; 0,25 per 50, the temperature variation are : 30 degree C, 45 degree C, 60 degree C and the time polymerization until 320 minutes. The result showed that the optimum monomer polymerizeation was at the inisiator to monomer ratio 0,25 per 50, the temperature at 45 degree C and at the time polymerization until 300 minutes with the monomer conversion was 86 percent. The Infra Red Spectroscopy analyses showed that there are poly methyl methacrylate in the product. The Gas Liquid Chromatography analysis showed the evolution of the monomer (methil methacrylate concetration.

Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (PTK) was designed with the aim of describing the improvement in learning outcomes of class XI-IPS students at MA. Darul Huda Wonodadi Blitar by applying the Student Facilitator and Explaining type cooperative learning model. Data collection techniques in research include interview techniques, observation, documentation and tests. n this research, the researcher identified the following research variables: (1) the teacher's ability to manage the class; (2) the critical thinking skills activity variable of students using the Student Facilitator and Explaining learning method on the main subject of Employment in class XI-IPS MA. Darul Huda Wonodadi Blitar; (3) variable student learning outcomes in economics subjects. The research procedure applied in this research uses a series of Action Research Classrooms consisting of 2 cycles with stages, namely the planning stage, implementation stage, observation stage, and reflection stage. The data analysis technique is carried out by data reduction and data exposure. The data reduction process was carried out by selecting students, simplifying and transforming the data that had been presented in the field note transcript. The results of the research showed that the student learning outcomes in cycle I obtained a classical learning completeness score with an average class reaching 75% and in cycle II the class average of classical learning completeness reached 87.5%, so it can be seen if learning is implemented using using the Student Facilitator and Explaining method can improve the learning outcomes of XI-IPS MA students. Abstract

This research focuses on analyzing the stability of three types of retaining walls cantilever, gravity, and sheet pile to address landslide risks along the Enim River in Tanjung Karangan Village, Muara Enim Regency. The village is prone to landslides due to high riverbanks and unstable soil conditions exacerbated by erosion and settlement encroachment. To mitigate these risks, retaining walls are crucial in maintaining slope stability and preventing further erosion. The study utilized Windows Forms methods to perform numerical simulations and evaluate key factors such as the safety factor, sliding resistance, overturning resistance, bearing capacity, and material strength of the designed walls. The cantilever retaining wall design proved effective, achieving safety factors for overturning (1.80), sliding (1.51), and bearing capacity (1.31), making it suitable for implementation at the study location. However, the gravity retaining wall, despite meeting safety requirements for overturning (1.72) and bearing capacity (1.35), failed in sliding, with a safety factor of 1.49, indicating it is not appropriate for this case due to insufficient sliding resistance. The analysis of the sheet pile retaining wall focused on embedment depth and material quality. A steel sheet pile with a length of 9 meters, an embedment depth of 4.82 meters, and material properties of Fy = 450 MPa and E = 2.1 x 105 MPa was determined to be a feasible solution. The findings conclude that both cantilever and sheet pile retaining walls can effectively mitigate slope instability and riverbank erosion, while the gravity retaining wall is not suitable for the given conditions. These results provide valuable insights for future infrastructure development in landslide-prone areas.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze: Whether or not there is an influence of using the Memorize Trigonometry Fingers teaching aid on the motivation and learning outcomes of class X students at SMA Negeri 1 Ngronggot. Quantitative research, carried out using the normality test, homogeneity test, t test, Mann Whitney U test, r test, Spearman's rho correlation test and determination. Student population of SMA Negeri 1 Ngronggot class X. Sample of students in class X-3 and X-2. Focuses on Trigonometry of special angles in the first quadrant. Hypothesis research results: There is an effectiveness of using the Memorize Trigonometry Fingers teaching aid on learning motivation of 1.6%, including very weak. There is an influence of using the Memorize Trigonometry Fingers teaching aid on learning motivation of r = 0.126, including a low level of relationship. The direction of the relationship is positive, meaning that if the motivation value of the experimental class is high then the motivation value of the control class is high, and vice versa. Hypothesis research results: There is an effectiveness of using the Memorize Trigonometry Fingers teaching aid on learning outcomes of 0.0001%, including very weak. There is an influence of using the Memorize Trigonometry Fingers teaching aid on learning outcomes of -0.567, including a moderate level of relationship. The direction of the relationship is negative, meaning that if the experimental class learning outcomes are high then the control class learning outcomes are low, and vice versa.

Abstract

This study aimed to isolate and characterize endophytic bacteria from black turmeric rhizomes (Curcuma aeruginosa Roxb) and test their potential as antibacterial agents against Streptococcus pneumoniae. This experimental research began with the isolation of endophytic bacteria from surface-sterilized black turmeric rhizomes. The obtained pure isolates were characterized macroscopically (colony shape, margin, elevation, pigment) and microscopically (cell shape, Gram staining). The growth curve of potential isolates was determined, and antibacterial activity was tested using the disc diffusion method against S. pneumoniae, with ciprofloxacin as a positive control. Six endophytic bacterial isolates (PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, PS5, PS6) were successfully isolated, showing variations in colony morphology, and all were classified as Gram-negative bacilli. All isolates exhibited strong antibacterial activity against Streptococus pneumoniae, with inhibition zone diameters ranging from 15.3 mm to 20.6 mm. Black turmeric rhizomes (Curcuma aeruginosa Roxb) harbor diverse endophytic bacteria with significant potential as antibacterial agents against the pneumonia pathogen, Streptococcus pneumoniae.

Abstract

Ikan patin merupakan ikan air tawar yang mudah dibudidayakan, bernilai gizi tinggi, dan harganya relatif terjangkau. Namun pemanfaatannya masih terbatas pada olahan sederhana seperti digoreng dan dipepes. Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa di Desa Wonodadi budidaya ikan patin menjadi matapencaharian sampingan, sehingga di desa ini menjadi daerah penghasil ikan patin.  Adapun tujuan dari kegiatan PKM ini yaitu (1) untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, ketrampilan, dan kreativitas masyarakat terutama ibu-ibu PKK Desa Wonodadi dalam mengolah ikan patin menjadi produk nugget; (2) memberikan pemahaman kepada ibu-ibu PKK Desa Wonodadi tentang manfaat gizi ikan patin dan pentingnya diversifikasi olahan ikan tawar; (3) menumbuhkan minat kewirausahaan masyarakat dalam bidang pengolahan hasil perikanan; (4) mendukung ketahanan pangan lokal melalui pengembangan produk olahan ikan tawar berbasis potensi daerah; (5) mendorong pemanfaatan ikan patin sebagai bahan pangan alternatif yang praktis dan disukai berbagai kalangan, terutama anak-anak. Kegiatan pelatihan ini melibatkan kelompok PKK sebagai peserta pelatihan. Adapun hasil kegiatan PKM menunjukkan bahwa: (1) 80% kelompok PKK di Desa Wonodadi mendapatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan tentang olahan ikan patin sebagai nugget, (2) 80% kelompok PKK di Desa Wonodadi kreativitasnya meningkat, (3) 80% peserta pelatihan merasa puas dengan kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh tim PKM sehingga peserta pelatihan meminta untuk dilanjutkan dengan kegiatan PKM lanjutan seperti pelatihan pengolahan hasil kebun.

Abstract

Tingginya kasus DBD di Indonesia mendorong inovasi lotion anti nyamuk yang aman. Urgensi penelitian muncul dari risiko iritasi kulit akibat penggunaan produk sintetis berbasis DEET. Gap penelitian terletak pada belum adanya formulasi lotion berbasis ekstrak daun paitan yang dilengkapi dengan data uji stabilitas fisik dan efektivitasnya sebagai penolak nyamuk Aedes aegypti. Penelitian ini bertujuan memformulasikan lotion ekstrak etanol daun paitan konsentrasi 15% dan mengevaluasi karakteristik fisik, stabilitas, serta efektivitasnya sebagai penolak nyamuk Aedes aegypti. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental, meliputi ekstraksi daun paitan, formulasi lotion, dan uji stabilitas menggunakan metode freeze and thaw. Parameter uji meliputi organoleptis, homogenitas, pH, jenis emulsi, kemampuan daya lekat dan sebarnya, serta efektivitas repellent. Hasil evaluasi terlihat bahwa sediaan lotion memenuhi semua persyaratan uji karakteristik fisik. Uji efektivitas pada manusia menunjukkan daya proteksi yang sangat tinggi, yaitu 97% sebelum uji stabilitas dan 93% setelahnya, meskipun terjadi sedikit perubahan pada semua parameter fisik pasca uji stabilitas. Lotion ekstrak etanol daun paitan 15% memenuhi syarat karakteristik sediaan topikal dan efektif sebagai penolak nyamuk Aedes aegypti dengan daya proteksi tinggi (97% sebelum dan 93% setelah uji stabilitas).

Abstract

Sekam padi merupakan limbah proses penggilingan padi dan mengandung lignoselulosa yang cukup tinggi sehingga memiliki potensi besar sebagai bahan baku sumber energi alternatif. Lignoselulosa pada sekam padi tersusun atas selulosa, hemiselulosa, dan lignin. Karena kandungan selulosanya yang relatif tinggi yaitu 34,34-43,80%, maka bisa dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan baku produksi bioetanol. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan pengaruh konsentrasi sekam padi dan waktu fermentasi terhadap kadar dan yield bioetanol yang dihasilkan dan untuk mengetahui kondisi terbaik dari variabel yang diaplikasikan. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu: sekam padi dikeringkan dan dikecilkan ukurannya sampai 60 mesh, selanjutnya dilakukan proses delignifikasi dengan NaOH 15% pada suhu 121oC selama 1 jam, kemudian dalam pembuatan bioetanol menggunakan metode Simultaneous Saccharification and Fermentation (SSF). Penelitian ini menggunakan enzim selulase 4% (b/b) dan yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae 4% (b/v). Hasil bioetanol dengan metode SSF dianalisis kadar etanolnya menggunakan Gas Chromatography (GC). Dalam proses SSF, dilakukan variasi terhadap konsentrasi sekam padi 5, 7,5, 10, 12,5, dan 15% (b/v), serta fermentasi selama 4, 5 dan 6 hari. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa konsentrasi sekam padi dari 5 sampai  10% kadar dan yield etanol mengalami kenaikan seiring dengan peningkatan lama waktu fermentasi. Namun, pada konsentrasi 12,5 dan 15% mengalami penurunan kadar dan yield etanol. Kondisi operasi terbaik dari variabel yang digunakan pada pembuatan bioetanol dengan melakukan fermentasi selama 6 hari dan menggunakan konsentrasi sekam padi sebanyak 7,5% (b/v) diperoleh kadar etanol yang dihasilkan mencapai 1,71% dan yield etanol sebesar 6,40%.

Abstract

Jalur Lintas Selatan (JLS) yang beroperasi di Kecamatan Besuki Kabupaten Tulungagung, saat ini menjadi destinasi wisata kuliner baru yang dikembangkan oleh masyarakat setempat sejak jalan tersebut selesai dibangun oleh pemerintah pusat dan provinsi Jawa Timur. Wisata kuliner JLS ini dapat memiliki "Efek Multi-Player," yaitudapat mendorong sektor lain di TulungAgung seperti pertanian, kerajinan, mode, berbagai industri jasa, dan sebagainya. Studi ini dilakukan untuk tujuan: (1) untuk menganalisis strategi pengembangan wisata kuliner di kawasan JLS Tulungagung menggunakan analisis SWOT, dan (2) untuk menganalisis dampak lingkungan dan sosial ekonomi terhadap masyarakat lokal dari pengembangan wisata kuliner di kawasan JLS Tulungagung. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologis dengan melihat temuan lapangan selama proses penelitian. Sumber informasi terdiri dari perangkat desa, pemilik toko atau kafe, penduduk setempat, dan pengunjung toko atau kafe. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan penelusuran data online. Untuk menganalisis strategi pengembangan wisata kuliner di JLS Tulungagung menggunakan metode analisis SWOT, data yang dikumpulkan melalui wawancara juga dianalisis melalui proses reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan yang diterapkan dalam pengembangan wisata kuliner di JLS Tulungagung adalah peningkatan pemasaran digital, peningkatan kualitas pelayanan, penguatan modal usaha, pengembangan kapasitas dan keterampilan, pemanfaatan teknologi, promosi dan pemasaran produk, serta penguatan organisasi dan manajemen pariwisata.
