Abstract

Dysgraphia is a type of learning disorder that affects children’s writing abilities. Difficulties in writing can impact students’ psychological well-being, hinder their academic achievement, and interfere with their social skills. For children with dysgraphia who experience writing difficulties, verbal communication can be used as a means to express messages, opinions, and ideas. In addition, nonverbal communication can also be utilized when verbal communication skills are still limited. This study aimed to examine teachers’ lesson planning, the implementation and outcomes of two-way communication patterns among slow learners with dysgraphia during the learning process, as well as to identify the challenges and obstacles in such communication. The research employed a qualitative case study method. The subject of the study was a child with dysgraphia. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model. The findings showed that children with dysgraphia more frequently used nonverbal communication with teachers and classmates, such as clapping and nodding. However, they also used verbal communication, although their speech was not very loud.

Abstract

This research aims to develop multiliteracy-based diorama learning media for Indonesian language subjects for class V elementary. To determine the feasibility of the learning media being developed, and to determine user responses to multiliteration. diorama based media. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) which refers to the Borg and Gall development model developed by Sugiyono through 6 stages, namely: (1) Potential Problems, (2) Data Collection, (3) Product Design, (4) Validation Product, (5) Product Revision, (6) Product Trial (limited scale). Expert validation was carried out by media experts, material experts and language experts, with the research subjects being class V of SDN Banjarsari 4, totaling 29 students. Data collection was obtained by interviews, observation, questionnaires and documentation. The results of the research are (1) the feasibility level of learning media in terms of design obtained a score of 85.71% which can be categorized as "very feasible" (2) the feasibility level of learning media in terms of material obtained a score of 91.50% which can be categorized as "very feasible " (3) the level of suitability of learning media in terms of language obtained a score of 83.33% which can be categorized as "very suitable" (4) the average score of student responses obtained a percentage of 94% which can be categorized as "very good" so it can be concluded that multiliteracy-based diorama media is suitable for use in interview material in Chapter 4 Learning to be Entrepreneurial and can practice productive language skills, namely speaking and writing

Abstract

This research aims to develop learning media in the form of a Reading Card Calendar and to determine the feasibility and response of students to the use of this media in improving initial reading skills in elementary school. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model which covers the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This research was carried out in grade 1 of SDN CurugKota Serang, Banten with the research subject of grade 1 students. The results of the study show that the Reading Card Calendar media developed has met valid criteria based on the assessment of material experts, media experts, and language experts. In addition, the results of limited trials show that this media is practically used in learning and receives a positive response from students. The use of the Reading Card Calendar media is able to increase students' interest, motivation, and involvement in initial reading activities. Thus, the Reading Card Calendar media is suitable to be used as an alternative learning media to improve initial reading skills in elementary school students.

Abstract

This study examines the planning, implementation, and the reading skills of fourth-grade students after participating in the library literacy movement program at SDN Pegadungan 02. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation, involving the school principal, the teacher responsible for the program, the on-duty teacher, and the fourth-grade teacher. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that the library literacy movement program has proven to have a positive impact on the reading comprehension skills of fourth-grade students at SDN Pegadungan 02. This is evident from the development observed in the four reading comprehension indicators studied, as well as the increase in education report card scores.

Abstract

Speaking skills in English language learning are one of the language competencies that need to be developed in order to broaden students’ knowledge and understanding. These skills enable students to acquire, process, and convey information and knowledge that are useful and applicable in their daily lives. The Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) model is a learning method expected to help students master English vocabulary pronunciation and learn how to speak English independently. The general objective of this study was to determine the effect of implementing the STAD model on improving students’ English speaking skills and to examine whether the implementation of the STAD model could enhance English speaking skills at SDIT Al-Hikmah. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental research method. The research design applied was the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample consisted of 49 fifth-grade students of SDIT Al-Hikmah in the 2024/2025 academic year. The findings of this study reveal that the implementation of the STAD (Student Teams Achievement Divisions) learning model effectively improved students English speaking skills. The results indicate a difference in the mean learning outcomes between the experimental and control groups. Based on the t-test analysis, the experimental group obtained a t-value of -2.45, while the control group obtained a t-value of -3.47, compared to the critical t-value of 2.01. In addition, the average N-Gain score of the experimental group was 0.46, which was higher than that of the control group (0.37). These findings suggest that the STAD learning model contributes more effectively to the improvement of students' speaking skills than conventional learning methods.
