Abstract

Crop failure in cultivated plants can be influenced by several factors, including pest attacks. Pest control in plants is often carried out using pesticides made from chemical compounds, which can have negative effects on health and the environment. One alternative to chemical pesticides is the use of botanical pesticides. This study aims to determine the effect of botanical pesticides made from keji beling leaves (Strobilanthes crispus) on the intensity of pest attacks on spinach plants (Amaranthus tricolor L.). The research was conducted using an experimental method from June to August 2024 in Kelapa Tujuh Village, South Kotabumi District, North Lampung Regency, Lampung Province, and at the Zoology Laboratory, Faculty of Science and Technology, Raden Intan State Islamic University, Lampung. The study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments: applying botanical pesticides at concentrations of 25%, 50%, 75%, and 0% (control). Each treatment was repeated 16 times, resulting in 64 plant samples. The parameters studied included pest attack intensity, plant height, and root length. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and further tested with the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test at a 5% significance level to determine significant differences. Phytochemical screening tests revealed that keji beling leaf-based botanical pesticides contain alkaloids, saponins, and tannins. The results showed that applying botanical pesticides from keji beling leaves influenced all the parameters studied. The treatment with a 75% concentration was the most effective, resulting in the lowest leaf damage at only 10%, a plant height of 22.40 cm, and a root length of 13.47 cm. Based on these findings, keji beling leaf-based botanical pesticides have the potential to serve as an environmentally friendly alternative for pest control in spinach cultivation.

Abstract

Anemia merupakan masalah gizi yang paling umum di seluruh dunia terutama disebabkan karena defisiensi zat besi, ditandai dengan kadar hemoglobin (Hb) dalam darah dibawah normal yaitu kurang dari 12,0 g/dL. Rendahnya pengetahuan makanan sumber zat besi akan berpengaruh terhadap kebutuhan asupan zat gizi dalam sehari, apabila hal ini berlangsung lama dan secara terus menerusakan mempengaruhi status gizi (LILA). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis hubungan pengetahuan pemilihan sumber makanan zat besi dan LILA dengan anemia pada remaja putri di MTs Ma’arif 18 RU Pasir Sakti Lampung Timur. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Penelitian ini berlangsung dari tanggal 15 oktober – 1 november, populasi dalam penelitian berjumlah 174 remaja putri dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 64 remaja putri anemia yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan kuesioner pengetahuan pemilihan sumber makanan zat besi, pita LILA (Lingkar Lengan Atas) dan alat kadar hemoglobin Mission. Analisis bivariat yang digunakan adalah Uji Gamma.Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa pengetahuan pemilihan sumber makanan zat besi kategori kurang 37 responden (57.8%), KEK sebanyak 37 responden (57.8%) remaja putri mengalami anemia ringan sebanyak 42 responden (65.6%). Ada hubungan kuat antara pengetahuan pemilihan sumber makanan zat besi (P = 0,001; r= 0,702) dan LILA (P = 0,002 ; r= 0,690) dengan anemia. Saran peneliti responden agar lebih peduli terhadap kesehatan diri sendiri sehingga bisa memilih makanan yang tinggi zat besi, rutin meminum tablet tambah darah seminggu satu kali serta membiasakan sarapan setiap pagi. Abstract

Rapid changes in technology affect curriculum changes. The Indonesian curriculum that is currently running, namely the independent learning curriculum (MBKM), provides an opportunity for researchers to study educational curriculum design. This research aims to analyze the development of the local wisdom curriculum in the Industrial Era 4.0, analyze the design of the local wisdom industry 4.0 curriculum against the curriculum that has been put forward by researchers, and analyze it in the independent learning curriculum. This type of research is a study of curriculum development design literature. The results of the analysis show that the Local Wisdom Industry 4.0 curriculum model is a curriculum model developed based on local wisdom with each curriculum implementation process structured starting from curriculum objectives, content, processes, outcomes, and evaluation processes implemented according to developments in the Industry 4.0 era. This model was developed by integrating the Tyler model curriculum and the Hawes model and emphasizing curriculum objectives and learning processes.

Abstract

This study investigates the strategies employed by the principal of Islamic Elementary School Anak Saleh Malang, to improve teacher competence and their subsequent impact on educational outcomes. A case study design and a descriptive qualitative methodology were used, and semi-structured interviews, document analysis, and non-participant observations were used to gather data. The findings indicate that the principal employs a humanistic and familial leadership model, emphasizes individual motivation, mandates regular professional development, conducts systematic performance reviews, and encourages deliberate teaching strategies. These strategies have had a direct influence on improved student achievement as well as greater teacher professionalism. The study emphasizes how crucial leadership techniques based on organized development, motivation, and a reflective culture are to improving academic achievement. It suggests that to achieve long-term educational achievement, principals must foster professional development through efforts in strategic, consistent, and compassionate leadership.

Abstract

Pekarangan Pangan Lestari Program (P2L) is an activity carried out by community groups in an effort Pekarangan Pangan Lestari to increase food availability for households. The objectives of this research were (1) Measured the level of dynamism of women farmer groups in Pekarangan Pangan Lestari (P2L) program, (2) Measured the level of participation of women farmers in Pekarangan Pangan Lestari (P2L) program, and (3) Analyzed the relationship between the level of group dynamism and the participation of women farmers in Pekarangan Pangan Lestari (P2L) program. This research was carried out in Sako District and Sukamulya District, Palembang City in November 2023 – December 2023. The research method used was the survey method and census method. The data used was primary data and secondary data. Data analyzed used was a likert scale and spearman rank. The results of this research were (1) The level of dynamism of women farmer groups in Pekarangan Pangan Lestari program was classified as high or already dynamic. (2) The level of participation of women farmer group in Pekarangan Pangan Lestari Program in Sako District and Sukamulya District, Palembang City was classified as medium, and (3) The results of the rank-spearman test show that there was a significant relationship between the level of group dynamism and the participation of women farmers in Pekarangan Pangan Lestari program in Sako District and Sukamulya District with a moderate level of correlation, namely 0.471.

Abstract

Research aim : This study investigates the influence of brand image, advertising, and discount prices on purchase intention at CV Putra Jaya. The research aims to determine the extent to which these factors drive consumer behavior and contribute to marketing effectiveness. Design/Methode/Approach : The study adopts a quantitative research approach, utilizing survey data collected from 40 respondents who are customers or potential customers of CV Putra Jaya. This research was designed with a causal research design with a quantitative approach, namely test. Research Finding : The results indicate that brand image and advertising have a significant positive effect on purchase intention, while discount prices demonstrate a moderate effect. Among these factors, brand image emerged as the strongest predictor of purchase intention, highlighting its critical role in shaping consumer decisions. Theoretical contribution/Originality : This research contributes to the literature by integrating brand image, advertising, and discount pricing as simultaneous predictors of purchase intention, providing a holistic perspective on consumer behavior in the retail sector. Practitionel/Policy implication : The findings suggest that businesses like CV Putra Jaya should prioritize enhancing brand image and creating impactful advertising campaigns while strategically using discounts to boost sales without undermining perceived value. Research limitation : The study focuses on a single retail company and its customers, which may limit the generalizability of the findings. Future research could explore other industries or comparative analyses across regions.

Abstract

Mastery of narrative texts plays an important role in learning English in vocational schools, but in reality many students still encounter obstacles in understanding the content of reading, recognizing the structure of the story, and honing critical thinking skills. Conventional learning tends to involve students less actively in exploring the meaning and moral message of the texts studied. This emphasizes the need for teaching material innovations that are more interactive, contextual, and relevant to the characteristics of students in vocational schools. This research aims to develop teaching materials in the form of Canva-assisted digital comics which are expected to support students' understanding of concepts and critical thinking skills. The method used refers to the Research and Development (R&D) approach with the Borg and Gall model which includes the planning stage, initial product development, limited trials, revisions, field tests, and product improvements. The subject of the study is a class X student at one of the State Vocational Schools in Yogyakarta, with data collection techniques through pretest and posttest. The validation of the instrument was carried out by media experts and material experts, whose results showed that the teaching materials were in the category of suitable for use, with the Aiken index of 0.73 and 0.75, respectively. The results of the analysis of learning effectiveness with the N-Gain formula showed a significant increase, namely a concept mastery score of 0.77 and critical thinking skills of 0.70, both of which are classified as high. These findings prove that Canva-based digital comics teaching materials are not only feasible, but also effective in supporting the understanding of narrative text materials while developing students' critical thinking skills. Therefore, this product is recommended to be integrated in English learning in vocational schools and can be a reference for the development of similar media.

Abstract

Kacang hijau adalah tanaman sejenis palawija yang dikenal luas di daerah tropis, produksi kacang hijau sebagai bahan olahan bahan pangan berprotein nabati tinggi dan berperan dalam menumbuh kembangkan industri kecil maupun menengah. Desa Gunung Sari Kecamatan Alok Kabupaten Sikka, rata rata petani menggunakan lahan pertanian sendiri untuk usaha kacang hijau. Adapun penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran dan upaya petani usaha kacang hijau, dan juga mengetahui besarnya pendapatan bersih para petani di Desa Gunung Sari Kecamatan Alok Kabupaten Sikka dari hasil pengeluaran di kurangi dengan penerimaan kotor petani, serta mengetahui kelayakan usahatani kacang hijau. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, penelitian ini dilakukan selama satu bulan terhitung mulai tanggal 27 Desember 2019 sampai dengan 26 Januari 2020. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, besarnya pendapatan usaha tani kacang hijau Rp244.738.000 dengan rata-rata Rp6.118.450 dari hasil pengeluaran petani sebesar Rp14.292.000 dengan rata rata Rp357.300 dikurangi dengan penerimaan kotor sebesar Rp259.050.00 dengan rata-rata Rp6.476.250. Nilai rata-rata R/C ratio dari usahatani kacang hijau senilai 18.12. Dari nilai R/C ratio yang di peroleh maka usahatani kacang hijau di Desa Gunung ari Kecamatan Alok sangat menguntungkan dan layak untuk di usahakan.

Abstract

Students' social skills are a crucial component in shaping their character and supporting their academic success. This article presents a systematic review of the role of cooperative learning in developing students' social skills. Combining theoretical approaches and empirical findings, this article reviews various models of cooperative learning implementation that have proven effective, along with potential challenges and strategies for overcoming them. This article is based on modern educational theory and supported by relevant research data.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Collaborative Learning strategy in the implementation of sociology learning in the Merdeka Curriculum in class XI IPS MAN 1 Pontianak. The background of this study is based on the dominance of monotonous and teacher-centered learning methods, resulting in suboptimal student engagement. Collaborative Learning is considered important because it can create an interactive learning atmosphere, foster cooperation, and train students' critical thinking skills. This study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The research subjects were determined through purposive sampling, involving a sociology teacher and three students, while data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, with data validity tested through source and technique triangulation. The results of the study indicate that Collaborative Learning is implemented through systematic planning, including the preparation of teaching modules, selection of materials, supporting media in the form of QuizWhizzer, and division into discussion groups. The implementation of this strategy generated positive responses from students in terms of cognitive, affective, and interactive aspects, as seen from their enthusiasm in discussions and an average quiz score of 88. The challenges faced included limited internet access and devices, but these did not diminish the effectiveness of the learning process. The conclusion of this study is that Collaborative Learning can be an effective strategy in supporting the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum because it enhances student activity, cooperation, and learning outcomes in the subject of Sociology.
