Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkapkan proses kreatif, hasil karya, dan faktor yang menentukan siswa SMP N 7 Semarang dalam berkarya batik motif asam dalam konteks ekstrakurikuler membatik. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kualitatif. Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang kreasi batik motif asam yang dibuat siswa pada ekstrakulikuler batik di SMPN 7 Semarang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa proses kegiatan ekstrakurikuler batik di SMP N 7 Semarang berupa kegiatan siswa dalam membuat pola, nyanthing, pemberian warna dan pelorodan. Hasil kegiatan ekstrakurikuler seni batik berupa hasil kegiatan membatik siswa dengan desain motif “Asam” yang merupakan simbol budaya Kota Semarang, selain itu terdapat pola sulur, daun dan bunga sebagai motif pendukung. Faktor penghambat dan pendukung kegiatan ekstrakurikuler batik di SMP N 7 Semarang meliputi sarana dan prasarana, tenaga pengajar, minat siswa dan wali siswa.

Abstract

Pemanasan global adalah kenaikan suhu di seluruh permukaan bumi. Penyebab pemanasan global dari adanya peningkatan green house gasses (gas rumah kaca). Manusia adalah kontributor terbesar dari terciptanya gas-gas rumah kaca tersebut. Proses tumbuh, kuncup, mekar, layu, dan mati sebuah bunga memberi ide, inspirasi, dan imajinasi untuk menuangkan gagasan pada karya lukis mengenai dampak pemanasan global melalui objek bunga yang rapuh dan butuh perhatian untuk dirawat seperti alam ini. Melalui proyek studi ini penulis melakukan respon kreatif terhadap dampak pemanasan global ke dalam seni lukis dengan media cat akrilik dan cat minyak pada kanvas. Metode yang digunakan dalam berkarya meliputi pemilihan media dan proses berkarya yang di dalamnya terdapat proses konseptualisasi dan ide gagasan. Dalam proyek studi yang berjudul isu pemanasan global melalui figur bunga sebagai gagasan berkarya seni lukis. Disajikan sebanyak 7 karya. Karya tersebut digambarkan menggunakan pendekatan realistik dengan sentuhan ekspresif melalui figur bunga sebagai representasi dampak pemanasan global. Ketujuh karya tersebut tentang harapan dan optimisme agar keadaan bumi semakin membaik.Selain itu, penulis beranggapan bahwa kesadaran dalam menjaga lingkungan masih perlu digalakkan dan salah satunya upayanya dalam bentuk karya lukis. Karena karya seni lukis dapat memberi kesan dan pengaruh bagi penonton atau apresiatornya.

Abstract

Publik menyadari bahwa peran guru dalam proses pendidikan sangatlah penting, oleh sebab itu kompetensi evaluasi pembelajaran oleh guru perlu selalu ditingkatkan untuk mendukung tujuan pendidikan, tidak terkecuali guru seni  budaya  di Kabupaten Kudus. Oleh sebab itu diperlukan pelatihan bagi guru seni budaya yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan profesionalnya dalam evaluasi pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini memiliki dua luaran utama. Luaran utama yang diharapkan dalam pengabdian ini yaitu: (1) publikasi prosiding seminar nasional dan (2) modul pengembangan instrumen penilaian aspek keterampilan berkarya. Mitra kegiatan ini adalah Guru Seni budaya Kabupaten Kudus dengan lokasi kegiatan di SMP N 1 Kudus. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan yaitu pelatihan dengan prosedur sebagai berikut: (1) identifikasi pemahaman evaluasi Seni budaya, (2) FGD dengan pengurus MGMP, (3) pelatihan evaluasi Seni budaya, (4) penerapan hasil pelatihan, (5) monitoring dan evaluasi kegiatan. Kegiatan yang dilakukan telah menghasilkan peningkatan kompetensi evaluasi pembelajaran melalui pelatihan penilaian berkarya seni yang dapat dipahami guru pengampu mata pelajaran Seni budaya.

Abstract

Street Vendors (PKL) are considered to cause chaos in the city of Surakarta because it makes slums and causes congestion. In order to preserve the beauty of the city, street vendors are being targeted by the Surakarta City Government. This condition creates new problems for street vendors because of the loss of customers and the low number of visitor anemos because most people do not know about the existence of new shanties after relocation. The solution that can be taken from these problems is through marketing innovation training and promotion strategies for street vendors, including: (1) training and mentoring focusing on marketing innovation strategies, including: partnerships with marketplace / e-commerce culinary products, (2) alternative design programs promotion in accordance with the target market, and promotion in social media, and (3) training in promotion strategies through designing visual identity designs that are applied to various media, such as booths / carts, product packaging, product design, uniforms and online promotional media. The method used is training and assistance with a collaborative participatory approach. The long-term outcome expected from this service is the expansion of marketing networks, increasing income and welfare of street vendors through marketing innovation and promotion.

Abstract

This study aims to understand and explain the problems of aesthetic adaptation through the development of ceramic art design in Mayong Lor Village as a cultural strategy in facing market competition to maintain the local characteristics. The research data was through by participant observation technique, in-depth interview, and document data tracking. The results show the following: First, the type of ceramic products can be classified into four categories, namely: 1) celengan (piggy banks), (2) children›s toys/remitance (keg, jars, cups, glasses, plates, paso, teapots, earrings, angklo, kekep) , (3) glassware for household purposes, such as jugs, kendil, padasan, and cowek, (4) decorative items (vases, jars, pots, wuwungan tiles, pencil pot, souvenirs, and carving. Aesthetically, the expression on ceramic pottery of Mayong Lor Village is simple and non-complicated as well as prioritizes the aspect of physical function which is oriented to economic value. Second, the social and cultural environment of Mayong Lor society creates typical patterns of interaction and lifestyle (with the support of its natural resources) resulting in the process of skill transfer of ceramic pottery traditionally from generation to generation and produces a unique and simple ceramic product. Third, in the midst of the strong influence of modern industrial pressures, the craftsmen struggle in the process of creativity by performing an aesthetic adaptation to develop new design with new artistic and economical values as the embodiment of a cultural strategy to maintain the creative potential of their local arts.

Abstract

The art of Buraq is a procession of puppet which has beautiful female face with winged-horse body and dance to the music of Genjring and tambourine. This traditional art is one of the dominant arts that becomes one cultural identity of the people in Brebes District, located in the west of the northern coast of Java island, Central Java Province. This study aims to study the aesthetic form, function and symbolic values of Buroq, as well as the system of relationship patterns among actors, Buroq puppets, and the audience. The result of the research shows that the rise of Buroq art stems from the Isra’-Mi’raj ‘ trip of Prophet Muhammad by using the vehicle named Buroq. It is narrated that Buraq is like a winged-horse with a beautiful woman face who can move with lightning speed as a vehicle in the Isra’-Mi’raj journey of the Prophet Muhammad. This story is the primary source of inspiration for local artists to express aesthetic-symbolic in accordance with the imagination they possess in the form of acculturation that combines elements of Javanese, Chinese, and Islamic cultural symbols. As Islamic-based traditional arts of community, Buroq with all the uniqueness of its physical form not only has functions and values in the grandeur of Islam which awakens and strengthens the cultural awareness among residents to act and behave in accordance with the teaching of Islam in coastal Javanese Islamic culture but also has the functionality and entertainment value for the multicultural community.

Abstract

The existence of a traditional fisherman community in Jepara is proven based on the system of equipment or technology of fishing vessels. As part that is familiar with the life of the fishing community, this phenomenon is very interesting as well as important to be studied more deeply in the context of the north coast Javanese sub-culture. Based on that, this study aims to explain: (1) the design of fishing boat construction as a representation of the technology system of traditional fishing communities in Jepara, (2) the ecological aspect of the north coast Javanese sub-culture includes the process of creating traditional fishing boat in Jepara communities, and (3) wisdom potential in traditional ship design as learning resources. This study uses a qualitative approach with case study design. The data is collected through interviews, observations and document reviews, and analyzed by using flow mode. The results of the study will provide an empirical explanation of the construction design and boat creation technology in the ecological perspective of the north coast Javanese sub-culture. Traditional ship design in Jepara is potential as learning resources to create the value of cooperation, openness,  communication and religious.

Abstract

The Hudoq mask is a dance attribute used in the Hudoq ritual ceremony in Ujoh Bilang Village, Long Bagun District, Mahakam Ulu Regency. This research uses descriptive analysis method, using data collection techniques; observation techniques, interview techniques, and documentation. This study aims to describe and analyze cultural values, and their potential as a source of learning and morals based on local wisdom contained in the Hudoq mask dish. Topeng Hudoq is a regional art that must be maintained and preserved in society, especially in the younger generation, because regional art is an asset and cultural identity of the Dayak Bahau Busang Tribe. The wisdom values contained in the Hudoq mask art are religious values, cultural values, moral values, aesthetic values, togetherness values, politeness values, and social values. The Hudoq mask has the potential to become a source of learning about fine arts and morals because it has unique shapes and motifs that can be used as a source of learning about fine arts, namely drawing. Training children to draw with objects that are close to the environment in which they live is related to culture, can instill a sense of love for culture in children as well as education of cultural values, and aims to teach lessons that customs need to be maintained and maintained. preserved for future generations.

Abstract

Analysis of Visual Expression in Images of Children with Special Needs is one form of observation and research on the characteristics of pictures of children with special needs. Children with special needs are very synonymous with visual language rather than spoken language. How children express their creativity and work in a picture, where the picture of every child who has certain deficiencies and disability certainly has the meaning, uniqueness and characteristics of each in expressing art. Some images show various image periodizations. Some show unique image typography. This study was conducted to find out whether a person's deficiencies or disability can affect the creativity and style of drawing children with special needs. Research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, which will be carried out at SLB Muhammadiyah Surya Gemilang. Research uses controlled observation techniques, interviews with teachers and document studies. In this SLB there are several different disabled classes. Among them such as mental retardation, disabilities, deaf, and autism. The data to be analyzed in the form of images from children with special needs that have been selected for further research in it. The results of this study, children with special needs based on the shortcomings and disability suffered have their own characteristics based on their use, so that the expression of pictures of children with special needs under certain conditions has differences in both ideas and visualization of images

Abstract

Tari Persembahan Sedulang Setudung merupakan tari penyambutan yang disajikan bagi tamu-tamu yang datang ke Banyuasin, sebagai tanda penghormatan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis rekonstruksi pertunjukan dan untuk menganalisis nilai pendidikan karakter yang diterapkan pada proses pembelajaran tari persembahan Sedulang Setudung di MTs Al-Ikhsan Betung. Metode penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri atas metode observasi, teknik wawancara, teknik studi dokumen. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu tari Persembahan Sedulang Setudung yang mengalami rekonstruksi pada iringan musik, penari, bentuk pertunjukan, dan propertinya. Adapun nilai pendidikan karakter yang diterapkan pada proses pembelajaran tari persembahan Sedulang Setudung di MTs Al-Ikhsan Betung  meliputi nilai religius, nilai budaya, nilai mencintai dan menghargai sejarah dan kesenian lokal, nilai mandiri, karakter tanggung jawab, percaya diri, solidaritas, berani dan saling mengingatkan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, disimpulkan bahwa tari persembahan sedulang setudung sangat cocok menjadi materi pada pembelajaran di sekolah, karena dapat membentuk nilai pendidikan karakter bagi peserta didik.
