Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology today can provide broad opportunities for educators to carry out learning effectively and efficiently, including to improve students’ interest and to increase student engagement in learning. However, in the midst of the rapid development of digital technology, the use of digital technology for learning in various regions in Indonesia remain insignificant. There are various problems in the learning process that are often experienced by teachers, including students who are unmotivated, get bored easily, and less active during the learning process. The same thing is experienced by a group of teachers who are members of the Teacher Trendi Community. In this regard, one of the solutions is to utilize gamification-based assessment media for groups of teachers in the Teacher Trendi Community. The results of this activity show that prior to the activity, the majority of participants were already familiar with Quizizz. However, all participants remain unfamiliar with Blooket. After the implementation, there was an increase in the knowledge of teachers, teacher group in the Teacher Trendi Community regarding the use of Quizizz and Blooket as online Assessment and Gamification Tools.

Abstract

A training session on making the probiotic drink tepache was conducted at MA Muhammadiyah Cambajawaya, Gowa Regency, as an educational initiative to promote health and utilize local resources. Tepache is a traditional fermented beverage made from pineapple peel and pulp, rich in probiotics beneficial for digestive health. This activity aimed to enhance students’ understanding of probiotics, train practical skills in producing environmentally friendly fermented drinks, and foster entrepreneurial spirit. The training method included theoretical sessions, live demonstrations, and hands-on practice. Evaluation results showed that the majority of students (87%) expressed interest in making tepache independently and understood its health benefits. The training also introduced the concept of productive use of household organic waste. In conclusion, this activity effectively educated students and opened opportunities for developing local health-based products. Similar training programs are recommended to be expanded with greater institutional and governmental support.

Abstract

Academic writing is one of the essential skills that university students must acquire, especially in preparation for the IELTS writing test, which demands not only English language proficiency but also logical and systematic thinking skills. Although this skill is crucial, the majority of students in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Universitas Negeri Makassar (UNM) still demonstrate limited competence in academic writing, particularly for IELTS purposes. One strategic effort to enhance this skill is through a student mentoring program supported by the FMIPA International Students Community (FISCO), a group comprising students and alumni. This community serves as mentors and teaching assistants in the English for Subject Matter (ESM) program, which specifically guides students in the International Class Program (ICP) in mastering academic skills, with a focus on academic writing as a key component of the IELTS test. Although the mentors generally possess strong academic backgrounds, many of them still face challenges in effectively teaching academic writing techniques. Therefore, this community service activity aims to improve the academic writing skills of ICP mentors through the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. The program was carried out in three main stages: (1) presentation of the material, (2) practical application of AI tools, and (3) interactive discussion. Evaluation results based on questionnaires distributed at the end of the training session indicated that all participants responded positively to the training and showed increased knowledge regarding key aspects of academic writing for IELTS Writing Task 1 and Task 2.

Abstract

Desa Sokkolia memiliki potensi alam berupa tanaman kelor (Moringa oleifera) yang bisa dijumpai di pekarangan rumah masyarakat setempat. Namun pemanfaatan darun kelor dari masyarakat di Desa Sokkolia belum terlalu optimal. Selain itu, masih banyak masyarakat setempat yang belum mengetahui bahwa daun kelor kaya akan nutrisi yang dapat diolah menjadi bahan makanan alternatif. Pemanfaatan daun kelor hanya sebatas dikonsumsi yang dijadikan sayur bening. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan PkM ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan pemanfaatan daun kelor di Desa Sokkolia melalui edukasi, inovasi pengolahan, dan pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat. Sehingga dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang manfaat daun kelor, mengembangkan keterampilan masyarakat dalam mengolah daun kelor, meningkatkan nutrisi masyarakat melalui konsumsi produk olahan daun kelor. Pelatihan dilakukan dengan metode praktik langsung atau demonstrasi dimana masyarakat didampingi oleh tim PkM dalam pembuatan produk daun kelor (puding kelor, martabak mie kelor, dan omelet kelor). Hasil dari kegiatan PkM ini menghasilkan produk olahan kelor berupa puding kelor, martabak mie kelor, dan omelet kelor memberikan manfaat yang sangat baik untuk peserta. Melalui pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat membantu masyarakat Desa Sokkolia dapat memanfaatkan dengan optimal pengolahan daun kelor menjadi produk olahan yang kaya akan gizi dan tetap disukai oleh anak-anak agar dapat mencegah stunting.

Abstract

The use of digital technology based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) is now opening up significant opportunities to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of learning. With the support of AI, teachers can create engaging, high-quality, and easy-to-understand learning media in a shorter time compared to using conventional digital tools. One AI-based application with great potential in educational media development is GAMMA. This application enables users to create visual media supported by well-structured, detailed, and informative content points. However, knowledge about GAMMA among teachers, particularly teachers in Barru Regency, is still limited. Therefore, this community service program aims to strengthen the capacity of teachers in developing AI-based instructional media. The program was carried out in three main stages: (1) presentation of materials on AI technology and the GAMMA application, (2) hands-on practice in developing instructional media using GAMMA, and (3) a discussion session to reflect on outcomes and challenges. Based on the evaluation results obtained through a questionnaire, the program successfully increased teachers’ knowledge and skills in using the GAMMA application to support more engaging and effective learning processes. In the future, teachers are expected to be better prepared to meet the challenges of 21st-century education.

Abstract

This research is important to carry out to provide information, knowledge, and understanding regarding adolescent reproductive health topics. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes about reproductive health and early marriage among teenagers in Gowa Regency High School. The population of this study was all class XI at SMA Gowa Regency. The sampling technique was carried out using the simple random sampling technique. This type of research is descriptive correlational research which aims to determine whether there is a relationship between variables. This research design uses a cross-sectional study design. The research instruments used were tests and questionnaires, data collection techniques in multiple-choice questions to measure reproductive health knowledge, and a questionnaire that refers to Likert scale parameters to measure attitudes towards reproductive health and early marriage. This research data analysis technique uses descriptive and inferential data analysis techniques. There is a relationship between knowledge and Reproductive health attitudes and early marriage are significant with a correlation value (R) between variables was 0.789 which is included in the strong correlation category.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the differences in critical thinking skills and argumentation skills through the application of argument driven inquiry and discovery learning models in biotechnology material. The research method is a quasi-experiment with a quantitative approach using a pretest posttest control group design. The research population was all class X MIA consisting of 3 classes. The research samples were X MIA 2 as experimental class 1 and X MIA 1 as experimental class 2 selected using random sampling techniques. Data collection used critical thinking skills test instruments and argumentation skills tests in the form of 10 essay questions. The posttest t-test results for critical thinking skills obtained a value of 0.01, which is smaller than 0.05, thus showing that there are differences in critical thinking skills in classes that use argument driven inquiry and discovery learning models on biotechnology material. The results of the t-test posttest on argumentation skills obtained a value of 0.00, which is smaller than 0.05, thus indicating that there are differences in argumentation skills in classes that use argument driven inquiry and discovery learning models.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan Research and Development (R&D) bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kepratikasan media pembelajaran e-Atlas preparat fotografi anatomi tumbuhan monokotil familia Poaceae. Model pengembangan penelitian ini yaitu ADDIE. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Biologi Jurusan Biologi FMIPA UNM dengan subjek penelitian yaitu 3 dosen pengampu mata kuliah anatomi tumbuhan dan 33 mahasiswa mahasiswa jurusan biologi jenjang strata satu (S1) yang telah memprogram mata kuliah anatomi tumbuhan. Pengembangan produk diawali dengan membuat preparat melalui metode section parafin dan preparat segar kemudian mengembangan desain e-Atlas dengan menggunakan aplikasi canva, dan dikembangkan menjadi media elektronik menggunakan flipbook. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa angket respon dosen pengampu mata kuliah anatomi tumbuhan dan angket respon mahasiswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data menunjukkan media pembelajaran e-Atlas preparat fotografi anatomi tumbuhan monokotil familia Poaceae memenuhi kriteria praktis berdasarkan hasil respon dosen pengampu mata kuliah anatomi tumbuhan yaitu 91,32% dan respon mahasiswa 91,97%, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa e-Atlas bersifat sangat praktis dengan memberikan respon positif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran e-Atlas preparat fotografi anatomi tumbuhan monokotil familia Poaceae telah memenuhi kriteria praktis

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi implementasi keterampilan public speaking dalam aktivitas sosial-keagamaan remaja masjid, menganalisis keterkaitan antara intensitas latihan public speaking dengan keterlibatan mereka dalam kegiatan masjid, serta menilai kepuasan peserta terhadap program pelatihan yang telah diikuti. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan dukungan data kualitatif melalui observasi dan wawancara. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas 20 remaja masjid Desa Sokkolia yang aktif mengikuti pelatihan public speaking. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan public speaking telah diimplementasikan dalam berbagai bentuk, antara lain menjadi MC, pembawa kultum, dan moderator kegiatan masjid. Analisis korelasi menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara intensitas latihan dengan frekuensi keterlibatan (r = 0,61; p < 0,05), yang berarti semakin sering latihan dilakukan, semakin tinggi pula keterlibatan remaja dalam kegiatan masjid. Selain itu, tingkat kepuasan peserta terhadap program pelatihan tergolong tinggi dengan skor rata-rata 82.5%, terutama pada aspek metode pelatihan dan dukungan fasilitator. Berdasarkan temuan ini, penelitian merekomendasikan adanya program lanjutan berupa mentoring intensif serta integrasi keterampilan komunikasi dalam kegiatan keagamaan rutin remaja masjidKata kunci: public speaking, remaja masjid, pelatihan, kepuasan, keterlibatan sosial-keagamaan

Abstract

A healthy lifestyle in the community has become an important concern for policy makers, both at the national and international levels. This is because the application of a healthy lifestyle in the community is an important part in improving the quality and welfare of people's lives. One of the important aspects of a healthy lifestyle is diet. A good diet will support a healthy lifestyle. A good diet is not only related to the amount or portion of food consumed but also the quality of food which includes the nutritional content of each component. Vegetables are a component in foods that contain many nutrients that are useful for the body, but in fact the level of vegetable consumption in Indonesia is still relatively low. One of the contributing factors is the lack of variety in vegetable processing. Salad is a type of vegetable processed food that is very easy to make and has many benefits because it has a high nutritional content. Training activities as a solution to the problem of low levels of vegetable consumption in the community are carried out in collaboration with the MGMP Science Teacher group in Takalar Regency who are expected to be able to follow up to disseminate skills in processing various vegetable salads to meet community needs.
