Abstract

Media pembelajaran moodle secara blended learning yang terintegrasi model discovery learning dibelajarkan dengan tujuan membelajarkan materi sistem reproduksi manusia yang berbasis online. Pembelajaran blended learning berbasis moodle (bioshare.my.id) dianalisis hingga bersifat valid dan praktis. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE, yaitu analisis (analyze), desain (design), pengembangan (development), implementasi (implementation), dan evaluasi (evaluation). Penilaian produk dilakukan oleh dua validator ahli berupa instrumen penilaian silabus, instrumen penilaian Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP), Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD), instrumen penilaian moodle, instrumen angket respon guru dan peserta didik. Hasil penilaian dari validator ahli menunjukkan bahwa produk yang akan dibelajarkan layak untuk digunakan karena nilai validitas silabus yaitu 4,86; RPP yaitu 4,70; LKPD yaitu 4,90; moodle yaitu 4,82; angket respon guru yaitu 4,93; dan angket respon peseta didik yaitu 4,90 (sangat valid). Kepraktisan media diperoleh respon guru dengan nilai 89,94 (sangat praktis) dan respon siswa dengan nilai 70,20 (praktis). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran dan media pembelajaran online berbasis moodle yang dikembangkan bersifat valid dan praktis.

Abstract

The purpose of these research was studying of capability for Xanthomonas campetris to bioconversion toward sago solid waste became xanthan gum, to know pH influences and sugar consentration for forming of high xanthan gum. Based on the research was done revealed that X. campetris which doing bioconversion process become xanthan gum which achieved rendemen about 11,026%. Optimum pH to producing of xanthan gum was obtained 7.0. the consentration of sugar for forming the high xanthan gum which 4%. The result of thesereseach is expected to give  benefit in supporting seeking of the cheap substrate for xanthan gum producing. Keywords : xanthan gum, sago solid waste, Xanthomonas campetris

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat perkuliahan berupa Rencana Pelaksanaan Perkuliahan berorientasi (RPP-PBL) memberdayakan keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa FMIPA UNM. Adapun target yang diharapkan adalah membiasakan mahasiswa memiliki keterampilan keterampilan berpikir kritis baik selama menempuh kuliah pada saat pelaksaaan pekuliahan.. Prosedur yang digunakan pada penelitian ini mengikuti tahapan model desain pembelajaran (instructional design) 4 D Thiagarajan. Instrument pengumpulan data terdiri dari lembar validasi perangkat perkuliahan RPP-PBL. Sistematika RPP-PBL yang dikembangkan terdiri atas komponen Identitas, Standar Kompetensi, Kompetensi Dasar, Materi Perkuliahan, Strategi Perkuliahan, Langkah-langkah Perkuliahan, Sumber Belajar dan Media, Evaluasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh komponen dalam RPP-PBL memiliki nilai rata-rata ≥ 3 dengan revisi pada bagian-bagian tertetntu. Dengan demikian, disimpulkan bahwa RPP-PBL yang dikembangkan termasuk kategori baik sehingga layak dgunakan sebagai pedoman dalam perkuliahan Biologi Dasar.

Abstract

This research is correlation research to see the relationship between the average of students in national examination with GPA at three former semesters of the students of Biology Department, Science Faculty, State University of Makassar. The population was all students biology department in academic year 2008/2009 which consists of 147. The samples were taken purposively from 2008/2009 which consists of 82. The data were used secondary data average national examination student of biology department in academic year 2008/2009 and GPA at  three former semester of the student of Biology Department in academic year 2008/2009. The data were analyzed quantitatively with percentages and inferential analysis using product moment correlation test. Abstract

The important reason is that botanical insecticides didn’t cause environmental damage and not harmful to human health. As we know, tobacco leaf extract is one of many plant extract that use as botanical insecticides. It can kill fruit fly (Drossophyla melanogaster) that suck domestic plant. On the other hand tobacco leaves extract use as wound therapy also. Those effects   are caused of the chemical compound such as alkaloid, saponyn, flavonoid and polyfenol.The objective of this study is to know the impact of tobacco leaf extract to development of D. melanogaster. Beside that, we observe the effective volume that causes optimal impact. Therefore we mix four type of tobacco leaf extract on D. melanogaster medium. In this case we apply 10 ml (P1), 20 ml (P2), 30 ml (P3) and 0 (P0). Then we observe the mortality. Further the mortality data is compiling by F analysis and LSD.The result shows that tobacco leaf extract caused negative impact to development of fruit fly on all stage of D. melanogaster (larvae, pupae, adult). The most effective impact seems on P3. Hopefully, the result of this study might useful to farmer that use botanical insecticide especially tobacco leaf user. So, user will have more advantages, because it didn’t harmful to human health and environmental.

Abstract

This research is including pre experiment with aim to know improvement of activity of biological learning and improvement result of learning through applying of method peer group teaching. Research is done in class X SMA Negeri 3 Makassar at school year odd semester 2008/2009. Research design applied is pretest and post test group design. Before study with method peer group teaching, student is given pretest to know initial ability of student. Research data in the form of student activity is gathered by using observation sheet and data result of learning is gathered by using test result of learning is in the form of multiple choice. Data activity is analysed qualitatively while data result of pretest and post test is analysed with t-test. Result of research indicates that there are improvement significant between result of student learning before and after applying of method peer group teaching as well as existence of improvement of activity of student during study takes place.   Keywords: learning, peer group teaching, learning achievement, student activity

Abstract

This was pre experimental design research with the aim to know student learning activity and study result at the implementation of the learned of learning cycle model. The research was done at state of  Junior High School 24, class VIII4 at odd semester academic year 2009/2010. Research design was pretest and posttest group design. Data's on students learning activity during they study were collected using observation sheet, and study results were acquired by using study's result test. Data's of student activity and study result were analyzed qualitative descriptive and inferential. T test was used to analyzed the difference  between before and after the learned of learning cycle model. The mean of result study's before and after application of learned of the learning cycle model was 48.00 for the pretest and 65.69 for the posttest, and t student value was 11,11 with P=0.000 at α = 0.01. The research's result showed that learning activities during the application of learned of learning cycle model generally increase, and the difference was very significance between student learning result before and after the learned of learning cycle model being applied .

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kompetensi profesional guru biologi Sekolah Menengah Atas SMA) Negeri di kota Makassar dalam aspek penguasaan bahan pengajaran, penyusunan program pengajaran, pelaksanaan program pengajaran, dan menilai hasil dan proses belajar –mengajar  yang telah dilaksanakan. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru biologi SMA Negeri di kota Makassar yang berjumlah 95 orang. Sampel penelitian dipilih secara acak sebanyak 16 orang guru yang berasal dari delapan sekolah yang ditentukan secara purposive sampling berdasarkan akreditasi sekolah. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara pemberian uji kompetensi penguasaan bahan pengajaran, pengkajian dokumen RPP, pengamatan dan penilaian pelaksanaan pengajaran, dan kuesioner menilai hasil dan proses belajar-mengajar yang telah dilaksanakan; selanjutnya dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan aspek penguasaan bahan pengajaran dengan nilai rata-rata 71,75, penyusunan program pengajaran dengan nilai rata-rata 95,40, pelaksanaan program  pengajaran dengan nilai rata-rata 91.30, dan menilai hasil dan proses belajar-mengajar yang telah dilaksanakan dengan nilai rata-rata 63,10. Secara keseluruhan nilai rata-rata kompetensi profesional guru biologi di Kota Makassar adalah 80,34 dengan kategori sangat tinggi.

Abstract

 This study aims to determine academic achievement of biology student  PMJK/PMDK, knowing academic achievement of biology students SPMB and find the differences between academic achievement of biology students' PMJK/PMDK with SPMB. Kind of research is ex post facto research with the population are biology student whole  academic year 2008/2009 and samples include (1) Line SPMB taken by way of purposive sampling as many as 168 students of class 2005, 2006 and 2007. (2) Line PMJK taken entirely in force in 2005, 2006 and 2007 are still active that is counted 168 people. Data collection techniques using secondary data is student GPA data 2005, 2006 and 2007. GPA is calculated until the second semester academic year 2008/2009. Further data are analyzed quantitatively with percentages and inferential analysis with t test. The results of analysis of research data obtained by the average GPA of students and PMK SPMB line is 2.958 and the result t-test = 0:01, P = 0999. The research concluded that academic achievement of  biology student  PMJK/ PMDK and SPMB  is very satisfy category with average GPA = 2,958 and there was no difference academic achievement of biology student PMJK/PMDK and SPMB.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi integrasi PBL dengan pembelajaran kooperatif Jigsaw dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian eksperimen semu dengan pretest-postest nonequivalent control group design pola faktorial 2 x 2. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh mahasiswa baru yang tersebar pada 4 program studi yaitu program studi Biologi, pendidikan Biologi, Kimia, dan pendidikan Kimia FMIPA UNM semester ganjil tahun akademik 2011/2012. Sampel penelitian dipilih 2 kelas yaitu program studi Pendidikan Kimia (N=36) sebagai kelas eksperimen sedang program studi Biologi (N=30) sebagai kelas pembanding (konvensional). Keterampilan berpikir kritis yang diukur meliputi interpretasi (interpretation), analisis (analysis), evaluasi (evaluation), inferensi (inference), penjelasan (explanation), dan self-regulation. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan pemberian tes sebelum dan setelah perkuliahan dan dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa, sehingga strategi integrasi PBL+Jigsaw lebih berpotensi meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa dibanding strategi pembelajaran konvensional.
