Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas IX MTsN 1 Subang dalam memahami teks eksplanasi. Kemampuan berpikir kritis yang dikaji mencakup kemampuan mengidentifikasi informasi penting, menganalisis hubungan sebab akibat, mengevaluasi informasi, dan menarik kesimpulan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 30 siswa yang ditetapkan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi kelas, wawancara semi terstruktur, dan tugas tertulis berbasis teks eksplanasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis interaktif melalui tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa masih berada pada kategori rendah hingga sedang. Sebagian besar siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam mengidentifikasi informasi inti, membangun hubungan sebab akibat secara logis, serta mengevaluasi relevansi dan keakuratan informasi dalam teks. Kelemahan pada tahap awal berdampak pada rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam menarik kesimpulan secara tepat. Faktor yang memengaruhi kondisi tersebut meliputi keterbatasan strategi membaca kritis, rendahnya pemahaman konsep ilmiah yang berkaitan dengan teks eksplanasi, serta model pembelajaran yang belum sepenuhnya mendorong penalaran tingkat tinggi. Oleh karena itu, penguatan strategi membaca kritis dan integrasi literasi ilmiah perlu dioptimalkan dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

Digital teaching materials are essential in language learning, helping students understand reading. Reading comprehension can be obtained through the process of reading comprehension. Ruddell's taxonomy classifies reading comprehension levels into three groups, namely factual, interpretative, and applicative comprehension. This study uses Ruddell's taxonomy to determine the improvement of each reading comprehension level of public high school students in Bandung City after being treated using digital modules. This research used a quantitative method with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The subjects in this study were 10th-grade students in three public high schools in Bandung City, namely SMAN 1 Bandung, SMAN 19 Bandung, and SMAN 20 and non-test. Data analysis techniques in this study used quantitative analysis, which consisted of descriptive statistical analysis and inferential analysis. The data were tested for normality prerequisites, then continued with the nonparametric technique of the Wilcoxon test using the SPSS 24 application. The improvement of students' reading ability was known through the Normalized Gain test. The results showed a high-category increase in interpretative comprehension, a medium-category increase in applicative comprehension, and a low-category increase in factual comprehension. The treatment, with the help of digital teaching materials, caused a rise in students' reading skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop a Thinking Working Scaffolding Sharing Model based on local wisdom of the principles of silih asah, silih asih, silih asuh in learning to write commercial posters related to the Indonesian creative economy for junior high school/Islamic junior high school students. The research method used is the research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE model. The results of the study showed that students need a process of interaction and communication in learning. The validation results of the development of the Thinking Working Scaffolding Sharing model based on local wisdom have a model assessment percentage of 98.3%, media materials of 91.7%, evaluation of 96.7%, the development of this model is categorized as "Very Feasible". The results of the model trial showed a significant difference in student learning outcomes in the pre-test and post-test. The responses of teachers and students to the use of this model showed a positive response. The Thinking Working Scaffolding Sharing model based on local wisdom can facilitate the learning process by involving good interaction and communication between students and teachers, so that it can increase students' creativity and critical thinking by the objectives of 21st century learning.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the potential of integrating local culture in BIPA materialss through semiotic analysis of the song “Lir-ilir.” Using qualitative descriptive methods and Roland Barthes’ semiotic analysis, the song lyrics were examined in this study. This study showed that denotatively, the song “Lir-ilir” describes rural life. Connotatively, the song is an invitation to improve attitude. Mythologically, the song shows the integration of social, cultural, and religious aspects. The song “Lir-ilir” has cultural values that can be internalized in BIPA materials by studying vocabulary, listening, singing, reading the meaning, and transforming the song “Lir-ilir.” This study contributes to the potential internationalization of Indonesian language through a culture-based approach. The research novelties of this study lie in analyzing the semiotics contained in the song “Lir-ilir” and identifying its potential in BIPA materials as a process of internationalizing Indonesian language and culture. The results of this analysis and potential identification are part of the process of internationalizing the Indonesian language and culture. BIPA course institutions and teachers can develop this teaching material design to enrich the reference of teaching materials and BIPA learning methods that meet the needs of BIPA learners.

Abstract

Folktales are a cultural heritage that can be used as intercultural teaching materials in BIPA (Indonesian Language for Foreigners) 4 learning. This study aims to integrate Indonesian and Middle Eastern cultures in BIPA learning through a structural analysis of folktales from the two countries. The background of this study is based on the urgency of introducing cultural values ​​in language learning. The context of language teaching does not only emphasize linguistic aspects, but also it requires sociocultural aspects. Using qualitative descriptive methods and AJ. In Greimas' structural analysis, this study examined the story content, narrative structure, and cultural values ​​in Middle Eastern folktales: Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, Aladdin and the Magic Lamp, and Sinbad the Sailor. And Indonesian folktales: Si Pitung, Timun Mas, Keong Mas. The research findings showed that both groups of folktales have relevant cultural values ​​to be internalized in the reading and cultural insight aspects of BIPA 4 learners. Cultural values such as courage, hard work, and ingenuity appear consistently in the characters and storylines. This study contributes to strengthening cultural education through language learning as an attempt to internalize Indonesian through a culture-based approach, and becoming a medium for cross-cultural teaching.

Abstract

The problem raised in this study is the low ability of elementary school children to express emotions and build self-confidence verbally. This study aims to explore the role of poetry writing activities as a medium of expression to support the process of emotion regulation and self-strengthening among students. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, the research involved six fifth-grade students of a public elementary school. Poetry writing activities were conducted regularly over six sessions across two months. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, documentation of students’ poetry works, and teacher reflection notes as the main research instruments. The findings show that repeated poetry writing activities created a safe and flexible symbolic space for children to express feelings that were previously difficult to convey verbally. Through sustained engagement, students reported feeling relieved, happy, and motivated to continue writing outside of class. Positive changes were observed in emotional openness, self-reflection, and active classroom participation. These developments emerged gradually, indicating that the emotional and self-strengthening benefits of poetry writing require consistent practice rather than a single intervention. In conclusion, regularly implemented poetry writing serves as an effective reflective and expressive learning approach, playing an important role in fostering emotion regulation and providing an early foundation for the self-strengthening of elementary school children.

Abstract

This study is initiated due to the limited review-writing proficiency demonstrated by junior high school students, which remains inconsistent with the critical and evaluative thinking competencies emphasized in Indonesian language learning. This issue is associated with the predominance of less collaborative instructional approaches and the lack of systematic literacy media capable of guiding students in the processes of reflection, idea organization, and critical expression. This study aims to analyze the needs of teachers and students for the development of the GEMAS Literacy Journal based on the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) model in learning to write reviews in junior high schools. The study used a qualitative descriptive approach in the needs analysis stage as the initial part of the model development. Data were obtained through interviews with three Indonesian language teachers, questionnaires of 37 eighth-grade students, and observation and documentation of learning. Data were analyzed through systematic reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate a gap between the demands of writing review competencies and ongoing learning practices, so teachers and students need media that can integrate group collaboration and literacy reflection in a structured manner. The development of the GEMAS Literacy Journal based on STAD is considered relevant to bridge this need because it is able to combine individual responsibility, teamwork, and reflective guidance in the writing process. Thus, this study confirms the urgency of developing collaborative literacy media as a basis for innovation in learning to write reviews in junior high schools.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to develop reading materials story child loaded profile student Pancasila based on mobile application which is a literacy media to help improve interest read students and complement the availability of resources reading which contains the values of the Pancasila lesson profile in story child on the dimension of independence, reasoning critical and creativity as supporters of the independent curriculum. The purpose of this study is to determine the development process and feasibility of products developed using the method study Design & Development. This research was conducted at State Elementary School (SDN) Bahagia 06 Bekasi City, West Java. The subjects of this research were expert material validators, media experts, practitioners and 26 fourth grade students. The research data collection techniques used interviews, observations, and documentation. The instruments used were validator questionnaires and student response questionnaires. as well as teacher response . The developed product was evaluated very well with a percentage of material experts of 96 % in the very feasible category , media experts 94% in the very feasible category, practitioner experts 95% in the very feasible category and student responses were very good. So, from the data obtained, materialreading story child loaded profile student Pancasila based on mobile applications on the dimensions of independence, reasoning critical thinking and creativity are very worthy of being used to help improve interest read students and complement the availability of resources readingwhich contains the values of the Pancasila lesson profile as Supporter curriculum independent.Keywords: materials reading, children's stories, mobile applications.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan bacaan cerita anak bermuatan profil pelajar Pancasila berbasis aplikasi mobile sebagai media literasi untuk membantu meningkatkan minat baca siswa dan melengkapi ketersediaan sumber bacaan yang mengandung nilai-nilai profil pelajar Pancasila dalam cerita anak pada dimensi kemandirian, penalaran kritis, dan kreativitas sebagai pendukung kurikulum merdeka. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui proses pengembangan dan kelayakan produk yang dikembangkan menggunakan metode penelitian Design & Development. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN Bahagia 06 Kota Bekasi, Jawa Barat. Subjek penelitian ini adalah validator ahli materi, ahli media, praktisi, dan 26 siswa kelas empat. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner validator serta kuesioner tanggapan siswa dan guru. Produk yang dikembangkan dievaluasi dengan sangat baik dengan persentase ahli materi sebesar 96% dalam kategori sangat layak, ahli media 94% dalam kategori sangat layak, ahli praktisi 95% dalam kategori sangat layak, dan tanggapan siswa sangat baik. Jadi, dari data yang diperoleh, bahan bacaan cerita anak bermuatan profil pelajar Pancasila berbasis aplikasi mobile pada dimensi kemandirian, penalaran kritis, dan kreativitas sangat layak digunakan untuk membantu meningkatkan minat baca siswa dan melengkapi ketersediaan sumber bacaan yang mengandung nilai-nilai profil pelajar Pancasila sebagai pendukung kurikulum merdeka.Kata kunci: bahan bacaan, cerita anak, aplikasi mobile.

Abstract

Realitas kemampuan menulis para generasi muda saat ini sungguh tidak menggembirakan. Kondisi tersebut terjadi karena skenario pembelajaran yang diterapkan kurang mendukung terciptanya situasi belajar yang menyenangkan. Pembelajaran Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia lebih tidak menarik jika situasi pembelajaran bersifat monoton, sehingga bagi siswa mata pelajaran ini menjadi mata pelajaran yang membosankan. Dewasa ini penyajian dan pembelajaran kontekstual atau Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), dikenal sebagai salah satu satu strategi pembelajaran dengan konsep mengajar dan belajar yang membantu guna mengaitkan antara materi yang diajarkan dengan situasi dunia nyata dan mendorong siswa mengaitkan antara pengetahuan yang dimiliki dengan penerapannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari di lingkungan keluarga, dan masyarakat.

Abstract

The Beyond Centers and Circle Time (BCCT) training emerges as a progressive pedagogical intervention, strategically designed to amplify early childhood educators’ capacity in fostering holistic language development among young learners. One of the prevailing challenges educators face in early childhood education (ECE) settings is their limited pedagogical acumen and practical proficiency in employing instructional methodologies that effectively stimulate linguistic growth. This article critically examines the implementation of BCCT training programs for ECE educators and elucidates their implications for children’s language acquisition. The training encompassed a two-day seminar and interactive workshops, engaging 43 educators from 24 ECE institutions across Greater Bandung. The BCCT training at PAUD Bandung Raya began with a comprehensive seminar discussing the importance of literacy for children’s language and cognitive development, early literacy strategies, and the principles and practices of BCCT. Participants then engaged in simulations of eight learning centers—religion, art, music, language, motor skills, science, social studies, and block play—as pedagogical exploration spaces for designing educational play-based activities. The results showed that implementing BCCT successfully constructed a dynamic learning environment, enriched children’s linguistic experiences, strengthened social interactions, and accelerated the expansion of their vocabulary and communication skills.   Abstrak Pelatihan Beyond Centers and Circle Time (BCCT) merepresentasikan sebuah intervensi pedagogis progresif yang dirancang secara strategis untuk memperkuat kapasitas profesional pendidik PAUD dalam mengakselerasi perkembangan bahasa anak secara holistik. Salah satu permasalahan krusial yang kerap mengemuka di ranah pendidikan anak usia dini ialah keterbatasan kompetensi pedagogis serta lemahnya keterampilan praktis pendidik dalam menerapkan metodologi instruksional yang efektif dan transformatif dalam merangsang perkembangan linguistik peserta didik. Artikel ini secara kritis mengevaluasi implementasi program pelatihan BCCT bagi pendidik PAUD serta mengkaji dampaknya terhadap akuisisi bahasa anak. Program pelatihan dilaksanakan dalam bentuk seminar dan lokakarya interaktif selama dua hari, melibatkan 43 pendidik dari 24 lembaga PAUD di kawasan Bandung Raya. Pelatihan BCCT di PAUD Bandung Raya diawali dengan seminar komprehensif yang mengulas pentingnya literasi bagi perkembangan bahasa dan kognitif anak, strategi literasi dini, serta prinsip dan praktik BCCT. Peserta kemudian terlibat dalam simulasi delapan sentra pembelajaran agama, seni, musik, bahasa, motorik, sains, sosial, dan balok sebagai ruang eksplorasi pedagogis dalam merancang aktivitas berbasis permainan edukatif. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa penerapan BCCT mampu mengkonstruksi lingkungan belajar yang dinamis, memperkaya pengalaman linguistik anak, memperkuat interaksi sosial, serta mengakselerasi perluasan kosakata dan keterampilan komunikasi mereka.
