Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of Problem Based Learning (PBL) based Learner Worksheet (LKPD) in improving critical thinking skills of grade II elementary school students on flat building material. The research was conducted at SDN 2 Sawah Lama with 25 students as subjects. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The evaluation instrument was in the form of pretest and posttest with a total of 18 items (10 multiple choice, 5 essays, and 3 fillings), which were analyzed statistically through paired sample t-test. The validation results showed that the LKPD was declared very valid by the experts. Analysis of learning outcomes showed a significant increase in critical thinking skills, indicated by the average pretest score of 53.2 and posttest of 82.1 (p < 0.05). In addition, there was an increase in the ability category from “low” and “sufficient” to “good” and “very good” in most students. This finding shows that the application of PBL-based LKPD is not only effective in improving learning outcomes, but also able to foster critical thinking skills since elementary school level. This model is very relevant to the project-based learning approach and the strengthening of the Pancasila Student Profile in the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

The critical mathematical thinking ability of elementary school students in Indonesia remains relatively low, as reflected in the results of PISA and ANBK 2022. This is due to instruction that still focuses on rote memorization and the use of learning media that are not yet effective in developing conceptual understanding. This study aims to develop a Student Worksheet (LKPD) based on the Concrete Representational Abstract (CRA) model that is valid, practical, and effective in improving the critical mathematical thinking skills of second-grade elementary students on multiplication material. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, and evaluation. Validation was conducted by experts in content, media, and language using the Gregory scale, while practicality was assessed through teacher response questionnaires. The results showed that the CRA-based LKPD met the criteria for high validity and received positive responses from teachers, categorized as "very good." Thus, the LKPD is deemed suitable for use as a learning medium to support the development of students’ critical thinking in basic mathematics learning.

Abstract

Mathematics learning in elementary schools is often faced with challenges such as low conceptual understanding and student motivation, due to the lack of varied teaching methods and learning media that are less relevant to daily life. The existing Student Worksheets (LKPD) generally only emphasize calculation exercises without involving students in the process of concept discovery, causing students to become passive and their problem-solving abilities to develop suboptimally. This research aims to develop LKPD based on the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach in order to improve third-grade elementary school students' understanding of mathematical concepts in the topic of Place Value of Whole Numbers. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The research subjects were 34 third-grade students at SD Negeri 3 Tangkit Serdang, Tanggamus Regency. The research instruments include validation sheets, practicality questionnaires, and learning achievement tests. The validation results show that RME-based LKPD is highly valid (average validation score of 0.9603 across all aspects), very practical to use (average practicality score of 92 from both teachers and students), and effective in improving student learning outcomes (N-Gain score of 85% with very effective criteria). The conclusion of this research is that the developed RME-based LKPD is proven to be valid, practical, and effective in improving elementary school students' mathematical concept understanding. The development of this LKPD is expected to serve as an alternative for teachers in creating more meaningful and contextual mathematics learning.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of the Student Worksheet (LKPD) based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) in improving students' collaboration skills in data processing material at SD Negeri 1 Waydadi, Sukarame District, Bandar Lampung City. The study uses the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The developed LKPD was validated by experts in content, language, and graphic design, and then tested in the classroom with 5 students. The effectiveness evaluation was conducted using the N-gain test to measure changes in collaboration skills before and after the implementation of the LKPD. The results show that the PBL-based LKPD is effective in improving students' collaboration skills, with an N-gain value of 81.4%, which falls into the high category. Although there are challenges in the equitable distribution of tasks and communication among group members, overall, this LKPD has proven to be practical and effective for use in learning to enhance students' collaboration skills.

Abstract

The low science literacy of students is caused by the lack of utilization of technology in learning activities such as the use of teaching materials. One way to improve students' science literacy is to develop innovative learning materials such as learning e-modules. This study aims to produce contextual teaching and learning-based learning e-modules on IPAS Phase B learning, material for changing the form of energy to improve the science literacy of students in elementary school. This research is a type of Research and Development (R&D) research, the development was carried out referring to the Borg & Gall theory. Data collection tools use valid and reliable test instruments. Based on the results of the material, media and language expert validation test of the validity of the contextual teaching and learning-based learning e-module product obtained an average value of 0.813 with decent criteria. Furthermore, the results of the educator's response test to the contextual teaching and learning-based learning e-module users obtained 86.88 with very practical criteria, while the response of students obtained an average value of 97.59 with very practical criteria. Then the results of the data effectiveness test using the paired t-test with the calculation result of 0.000 < 005 means that there is a significant difference between before being given treatment with contextual teaching and learning-based learning e-modules and after being given the treatment. Based on the data obtained from the results of the study, it can be concluded that the contextual teaching and learning-based learning e-module on the material of changing the form of energy is valid, practical, and effective to improve the science literacy of students in elementary schools

Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 4.0 demands that teachers master ICT literacy, but many teachers still have difficulty integrating technology into learning. This Community Service Program addresses this gap by conducting Augmented Reality (AR)-based training for 31 primary school teachers in the Teacher Working Group (TWG) of Primary School Region 6, Gedong Tataan District, Indonesia. The training was conducted in three stages: Preparation, Training, and Post-Training. The workshop results showed that AR integration significantly improves digital literacy, creativity, and the ability of teachers to develop interactive learning media. The teachers showed increased proficiency in using, creating, and integrating ICT-based learning materials, especially AR applications for science education. This initiative highlights the potential of AR technology in improving teacher competence and promoting innovative teaching strategies. These findings emphasise the importance of AR-based training in preparing educators to face the demands of 21st-century learning.

Abstract

The problem of this research was the low learning outcomes of fifth-grade students due to the teacher's lack of use of varied learning models and media in the teaching process. This study aimed to analyze and describe the effect of the problem-based learning (PBL) model assisted by Powtoon media on students' learning outcomes in IPAS (Science and Social Sciences) subjects. This research used a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design. The population and sample of the study were fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 1 Banding Agung, totaling 46 students. Data collection techniques included tests, observation sheets, and documentation. The hypothesis was tested using simple linear regression with the result Fcount ≥ Ftable (39.559 ≥ 4.30). Therefore, it could be concluded that there was a significant effect of the problem-based learning model assisted by Powtoon media on the IPAS learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Banding Agung.
