Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to find out how much influence the use of quantum learning models on student confidence in PPKn class X subjects at SMK Negeri 03 Pontianak. In carrying out this research using experimental research methods with a quantitative approach. Variable X uses the quantum learning model, while the Y variable is student confidence. The subjects in this study were class X PM1 as an experimental class and XPM2 class as a control class. Analyzing the results of research using SPSS 16.0 and Microsoft Excel programs. The results of this study indicate the difference between the experimental class and the control class, the average confidence of students in the experimental class 69.7 with the category "Good", while in the control class 57.3 with the category "Enough". The use of a quantum teaching learning model for student confidence is 32.2% with a "Medium" relationship level and the remaining 66.8% is influenced by other factors outside this study.Keywords: PPKn, Quantum Teaching, Self Confidence.

Abstract

Abstract This study was aimed to determine the Application of Inquiry Learning Methods in PPKn Subjects of Class XI IPS Students of Panca Bhakti High School Pontianak. Which consists of one class as a research sample by using learning outcomes observation sheets (pre-test and post-test) observation sheet of student activities and student response questionnaires. Data analysis techniques used descriptive and inferential statistical analysis techniques. Descriptive statistical analysis of the result of the study showed: (1) The average learning achievement used the inquiry learning method with settings was 3.9 (very good), (2) the initial average of students' ability (pre-test) was 45.76 in the very category low. The average learning achievement students (post-test) was 88.67 in the high category, (3) the result of classical completeness post-test reached 100% (30 students) achieved individual mastery, (4) the average normalized profit was 0.79 which was at high category, (5) the average percentage of student activity was 92%, (6) the average percentage of students who give positive responses to the application of learning was 94%. Keywords: application of the method, Inquiry Learning

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the effect of STAD type cooperative learning model (Student Teams Achievement Division) on PPKn learning outcomes in class X Pontianak Islamic High School. This research is an experimental study using the Posttest-Only Control Design research design. The independent variable of this study is the STAD type cooperative model while the dependent variable is learning outcomes. The subject of this study was the tenth graders of Pontianak Islamic High School divided into two classes, namely control class and experimental class. Data collection techniques used are tests and observations. The analysis needed includes validity test, difficulty level, different power index, reality test, normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis test with a significance level of 5%. In the calculation process using the help of a computer program SPSS version 18.0 for windows. The results showed that there was an effect of STAD type cooperative learning model on student learning outcomes in PPKn X IPS class subjects at Islamic Islamiyah High School Pontianak, namely by using t test showing t value of 7.276 with a significance level of 0.000 or in other words 0.000 5 0.05 so Ho is rejectedKeywords: STAD type cooperative learning model, learning outcomes, Civics

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to find out the effectiveness of snowball throwing teaching model in teaching Civic Education at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak on the motivation of eleventh-grade learners. The technique used in this research was quasi-experimental with a model of a nonequivalent control group design. 33 XI IPS 2 learners were in the control group, while 30 XI IPS 3 learners were in the experimental group. The findings of the study show a variety between the experimental and control groups in the motivation of the learners. The average learning motivation of the control group applying the conventional learning model at two meetings was 62.43 per cent, while the experimental group using the applied learning model had a higher average of 77.45 per cent. Based on the 0.66 per cent effect size of the categorized medium, it has been shown that the applied learning model is effective for use in class XI IPS 3. The Snowball Throwing learning model influences the motivation of students in class XI IPS 3 to learn Civic Education at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak. Keywords: Effectiveness, Snowball Throwing Learning Model, Learning Motivation

Abstract

Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) Learning is a vehicle for democratic education. In the context of international discourse, PPKn learning in Indonesia is still included in the knowing democracy paradigm. While in other countries, it is already in the paradigm of building democracy. For this reason, PPKn learning needs to be facilitated so that it develops from the knowing democracy paradigm towards doing democracy. As a vehicle for the education and development of democratic citizens, the PPKn has three main functions, namely developing civic intelligence, fostering civic responsibility, and encouraging civic participation. The three competencies of citizens are in line with the three main components as a learning estuary for PPKn namely civic knowledge, civic skills and civic dispositions. PPKn learning can ideally equip students with sufficient knowledge and intellectual skills as well as provide practical experience to have competence and be able to participate effectively. For this reason, two things need attention in preparing PPKn learning in class, namely knowledge about learning materials and the use of learning methods/models. One learning model that is suitable to be applied in PPKn learning is portfolio-based because the superiority of this model in its application can develop democratic values and enhance students' critical thinking skills. However, discussions with several teachers obtained information that many of them did not understand the characteristics, advantages, and ways of implementing portfolio-based learning models on PPKn learning so that this model does not get the attention to be applied by teachers in learning PPKn. Community Service Activities were carried out on August 14, 2018, located at Sungai Pinyuh State Middle School 3, Mempawah Regency, and were attended by teachers from the MGMP PPKn SLTP level throughout the District of Mempawah. This community service activity has the goal of increasing teacher knowledge and understanding of planning, implementing, evaluating, and knowing the obstacles faced by teachers in applying portfolio-based PPKn learning to develop democratic values and critical thinking abilities of students. PKM activities carried out in the form/method of socialization. The result of this activity is an increase in the knowledge and understanding of PPKn teachers on the concepts and nature of portfolio learning models, the effectiveness of portfolio learning models to develop democratic values and critical thinking skills of students, the application of portfolio learning models in planning, implementing, and evaluating PPKn learning activities, and regarding various obstacles faced by PPKn teachers in applying the portfolio model.

Abstract

Entikong is one of the area of West Kalimantan, which is directly adjacent to neighboring Malaysia. Entikong has a significant degradation potential for the younger generation's character values, especially the value of nationalism. One of the efforts that can be made to strengthen nationalism's character is to instill the values of national character in students. However, on the other hand, many teachers do not comprehensively understand the implementation of school-based character education strengthening (PPK) as mandated by the government. Responding to this requires real effort from various parties, including universities, to participate in socializing this excellent program at the school and community levels. The activity was carried out through training to 22 teachers in the Entikong border area to deliver material related to school-based KDP. The implementation of activities is carried out online via zoom meetings. As a result of this activity, teachers can comprehensively know and understand the implementation of school-based KDP for the border area of Entikong, West Kalimantan.

Abstract

Pelaku pendidikan di wilayah perbatasan Entikong Kalimantan Barat memiliki tanggung jawab yang sangat besar dalam mempertahankan nilai karakter bangsa. Entikong marupakan salah satu wilayah perbatasan Indonesia dan Malaysia menyimpan potensi degradasi nilai karakter bangsa yang cukup besar. Menyikapi hal tersebut, maka lembaga pendidikan (sekolah) di perbatasan Entikong menerapkan program penguatan pendidikan karakter sebagai instrumen preventif dalam membina dan menumbuh kembangkan nilai utama karakter bangsa (religius, nasionalis, mandiri, gotong royong, integritas). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi penguatan pendidikan karakter berbasis sekolah di SMA Perbatasan Entikong Kalimantan Barat. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penguatan pendidikan karakter berbasis sekolah di SMA Perbatasan Entikong Kalbar dilakukan melalui 3 (tiga) program yakni pengembangan diri, mengintegrasikan dalam mata pelajaran, serta melalui budaya sekolah. (1) Program pengembangan diri dilakukan melalui kegiatan rutin, kegiatan spontan, kegiatan keteladanan dan kegiatan pengondisian di sekolah. (2) Program mengintegrasikan nilai karakter dilakukan oleh guru melalui integrasi/menyisipkan nilai karakter kedalam setiap pokok bahasan dari setiap mata pelajaran. (3) Program budaya sekolah dilakukan dengan cara menetapkan visi dan motto sekolah yang mengandung nilai karakter, memajang banyak bendera merah putih di sepanjang teras sekolah untuk menumbuhkan rasa nasionalisme dan patriotisme, memajang banyak kalimat motivasi dan bernilai karakter di sepanjang lingkungan sekolah, menerapkan 5 S yakni (senyum, salam, sapa, sopan, santun), menampilkan sikap saling peduli dan kasih sayang kepada seluruh warga sekolah, menetapkan tata tertib sekolah, menciptakan 4 program unggulan sekolah, melaksanakan kegiatan ekstakurikuler yang dapat membentuk karakter peserta didik, menunjukkan contoh teladan yang baik, menindak tegas dengan sanksi jika ada peserta didik yang melanggar disiplin atau tata tertib, serta mengarahkan dan mengirim peserta didik untuk aktif mengikuti ajang perlombaan agar terbentuk karakter berani berkompetisi.
