Abstract

Learning media that suits students' conditions and needs can increase exam concentration and learning motivation, so teachers need to know the media criteria that must be used so that students can like and accept them. Quizizz is one of the learning media in the form of quizzes. Quizizz can be chosen by teachers as a learning medium because it is game and technology based. The aim of this research is to describe the effect of using Quizizz media on exam concentration and learning motivation on persuasive text material. This research uses a quantitative approach, because the data presented is in the form of numbers and analyzed using statistical formulas. This research uses experimental research methods, with a true experimental design. The number of samples in this study was 30 students, divided into experimental and control classes. The instruments used were questionnaires and test sheets. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires and tests. Based on the results of research data analysis, the influence of the Quizizz application on exam concentration and learning motivation was 56%, while the remaining 44% was influenced by other variables or factors that were not rigorous, indicating that there was a significant difference in exam concentration and learning motivation between experimental class students and control, so it can be concluded that there is a positive influence of using Quizizz interactive media on exam concentration and learning motivation on persuasive text material.

Abstract

Reproductive health is an important aspect that adolescents need to understand to maintain their physical and mental well-being. This community service program aims to provide education and counseling about reproductive health to students of IT As-Syakur High School, targeting students aged 16-18 years. The methods used include face-to-face counseling, interactive discussions, simulations, and utilizing digital platforms for self-study. The material presented covers reproductive anatomy, the risks of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), early pregnancy, contraception, and psychosocial aspects related to relationships and decision-making. The implementation results showed a significant increase in students' understanding after the counseling, with an average improvement from 60% to 85% in the post-test. A total of 90% of students understood reproductive anatomy, while 85% understood the risks of STDs, and 80% mastered the material on contraception. The use of digital media by 65% of students for self-study also demonstrated the program's effectiveness. This program successfully addressed the stigma among students regarding reproductive health and encouraged their active involvement in learning. This success provides a strong foundation for implementing similar programs in the future with a broader scope, involving parents and teachers, and supporting the sustainability of the program through a technology-based approach.

Abstract

Malnutrition and low nutrition literacy among school-aged children remain significant public health challenges in Indonesia, including in Rangkasbitung, Banten. This community service initiative, the Healthy Kids Program: Improving Children's Nutritional Awareness Through Interactive Learning, aimed to enhance children's understanding of balanced nutrition and foster healthy eating behaviors through engaging, interactive methods. The program employed educational games, simulations, and discussions to encourage active participation, complemented by the involvement of parents and teachers to reinforce learning outcomes at home and in the school environment. A pre-test and post-test were conducted to measure changes in children's knowledge, with results indicating a substantial increase in understanding of balanced nutrition and healthy food choices, rising from an average of 47% to 83%. Additionally, the program provided educational materials to schools, supporting the sustainability of nutrition education initiatives in the community. The findings align with evidence highlighting the effectiveness of interactive and community-based approaches in improving nutrition literacy and promoting healthy dietary practices among children. By building local capacity and aligning with public health goals, the Healthy Kids Program demonstrates its potential as a scalable and replicable model for addressing malnutrition challenges in similar contexts. This initiative underscores the importance of integrating interactive learning with family and community engagement to support the development of healthy lifestyles among school-aged children, contributing to broader efforts to achieve Sustainable Development Goals related to child health and education.

Abstract

Pelatihan pembuatan media pembelajaran kreatif bagi guru sekolah dasar ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya minat belajar siswa yang disebabkan oleh kurangnya variasi dan kreativitas dalam penyampaian materi pembelajaran. Media pembelajaran yang menarik dan interaktif diyakini mampu meningkatkan motivasi dan partisipasi siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan secara daring melalui aplikasi Zoom pada tanggal 2 Maret 2025 dengan melibatkan 32 peserta guru sekolah dasar dari berbagai latar belakang. Metode pelatihan dilakukan melalui sesi pemaparan materi, demonstrasi pembuatan media pembelajaran kreatif, serta praktik langsung yang didampingi oleh fasilitator. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan guru dalam membuat media pembelajaran yang inovatif dan menarik, serta peningkatan pemahaman mengenai pentingnya penggunaan media kreatif untuk mendukung minat belajar siswa. Pelatihan ini memberikan kontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah dasar dan membuka peluang bagi guru untuk terus mengembangkan metode pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dan menyenangkan. Kesimpulannya, pengembangan media pembelajaran kreatif merupakan strategi penting dalam upaya peningkatan minat belajar siswa dan kualitas pendidikan dasar secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

This study was designed to examine how digital animation functions as a medium in folktale learning, while also portraying the extent to which the literary literacy of সপ্তম-grade students develops after the media is implemented in the teaching and learning process. Methodologically, this research was grounded in a qualitative descriptive approach using a classroom-based case study design. Data were collected through a series of instruments, including observations conducted at the beginning and end of the learning process, documentation of students’ work, and field notes that recorded changes in behavior as well as literacy capacity throughout the learning activities. The findings indicate improvements in several dimensions of literary literacy. These improvements include increased learning interest, greater student confidence in participating in discussions, enhanced ability to understand and reproduce storylines both orally and in writing, more accurate identification of intrinsic elements of literary works, and stronger interpretation and appreciation of the moral messages contained in folktales. Furthermore, the presence of digital animation appeared to encourage students to express opinions with more structured reasoning, which in turn contributed to the strengthening of their critical thinking skills. Equally significant was the students’ affective response toward animation-based learning, which consistently showed positive tendencies, marked by increased enthusiasm and active participation during the learning sessions. Based on these overall findings, it can be concluded that digital animation media has strong potential to be developed as an effective alternative learning medium to support the improvement of students’ literary literacy at the junior high school level. ABSTRAK Studi ini dirancang untuk menelaah bagaimana animasi digital difungsikan sebagai media dalam pembelajaran dongeng, sekaligus memotret sejauh mana literasi sastra siswa kelas VII berkembang setelah media tersebut diterapkan dalam proses belajar mengajar. Secara metodologis, penelitian ini berpijak pada pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan rancangan studi kasus berbasis kelas. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui serangkaian instrumen, yakni observasi pada tahap awal dan akhir pembelajaran, dokumentasi hasil kerja siswa, serta catatan lapangan yang merekam perubahan perilaku maupun kapasitas literasi sepanjang berlangsungnya proses pembelajaran. Temuan yang diperoleh mengindikasikan adanya kemajuan pada sejumlah dimensi literasi sastra. Peningkatan tersebut mencakup tumbuhnya minat belajar, meningkatnya keberanian siswa dalam berdiskusi, berkembangnya kemampuan memahami dan mereproduksi alur cerita secara lisan maupun tulisan, semakin tepatnya identifikasi unsur intrinsik karya sastra, serta meningkatnya daya interpretasi dan apresiasi siswa terhadap pesan moral yang terkandung dalam dongeng. Lebih dari itu, kehadiran animasi digital tampaknya turut mendorong siswa untuk menyampaikan pendapat dengan penalaran yang lebih terstruktur, yang pada gilirannya berkontribusi pada penguatan kemampuan berpikir kritis mereka. Hal yang tak kalah signifikan adalah respons afektif siswa terhadap pembelajaran berbasis animasi yang secara konsisten menunjukkan tendensi positif ditandai dengan meningkatnya antusiasme dan keterlibatan aktif selama sesi pembelajaran berlangsung. Berdasarkan keseluruhan temuan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media animasi digital berpotensi besar untuk dikembangkan sebagai alternatif media pembelajaran yang efektif dalam menunjang peningkatan literasi sastra siswa di jenjang SMP.

Abstract

Technological developments in the digital era have changed the dynamics of language use among adolescents. The use of gadgets and social media, especially TikTok, affects students’ vocabulary mastery, sentence structure, and language style in daily life. This study aims to analyze the impact of gadget and TikTok use on the language development of eighth-grade students at MTs RU Pabuaran. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques consisting of participatory observation, in-depth interviews with teachers and parents, as well as documentation and analysis of digital content conducted from January to March 2026. The research subjects consisted of 30 students of class VIII A MTs RU Pabuaran, with research informants selected through purposive techniques involving 20 students who actively used gadgets for more than four hours per day. Data validity was tested through source triangulation and member checking, while data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed a dual dynamic in the use of TikTok and gadgets. On the one hand, digital media enriched students’ vocabulary and enhanced communication creativity. On the other hand, it encouraged the use of informal language, code-mixing, and more relaxed communication styles that relied heavily on emojis. In addition, most students tended to use short and fragmentary sentences, while only a small number were able to construct well-structured paragraphs. This study recommends strengthening digital literacy in learning, limiting gadget usage time, and implementing activities that transform digital language into standard language as an effort to maintain proper and correct Indonesian language skills. ABSTRAK Perkembangan teknologi di era digital telah mengubah dinamika berbahasa di kalangan remaja. Penggunaan gawai dan media sosial, khususnya TikTok, memengaruhi penguasaan kosakata, struktur kalimat, dan gaya berbahasa siswa dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak penggunaan gawai dan TikTok terhadap perkembangan bahasa siswa kelas VIII di MTs RU Pabuaran. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam dengan guru dan orang tua, serta dokumentasi dan analisis konten digital selama Januari–Maret 2026. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 30 siswa kelas VIII A MTs RU Pabuaran, dengan informan penelitian dipilih secara purposive sebanyak 20 siswa yang aktif menggunakan gawai lebih dari empat jam per hari. Keabsahan data diuji melalui triangulasi sumber dan member check, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya dinamika ganda dalam penggunaan TikTok dan gawai. Di satu sisi, media digital memperkaya kosakata siswa dan meningkatkan kreativitas komunikasi. Di sisi lain, penggunaan media digital memunculkan bahasa tidak baku, campur kode (code-mixing), serta perubahan gaya komunikasi yang lebih santai dan bergantung pada emoji. Selain itu, sebagian besar siswa cenderung menggunakan kalimat pendek dan fragmentatif, sementara hanya sebagian kecil yang mampu menyusun paragraf dengan struktur yang baik. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan literasi digital dalam pembelajaran, pembatasan waktu penggunaan gawai, serta kegiatan mengubah bahasa digital menjadi bahasa baku sebagai upaya menjaga kemampuan berbahasa Indonesia yang baik dan benar.
