Abstract

Strengthening school leadership is a crucial factor in addressing the challenges of digital transformation in education, particularly in Islamic schools that still face limitations in digital governance and the implementation of technology-based learning. This community service activity aims to improve school leadership capacity through mentoring in the governance and digitalization of learning at El-Syabab Islamic Elementary School. The method used is Service Learning (SL), which integrates the learning process with real-life collaborative mentoring practices between the service team and partners. The activity targets principals and teachers involved in mentoring in digital governance, digital learning implementation, and ongoing collaborative reflection. The results of the activity indicate an increase in the principals' adaptive leadership skills, a strengthening of the digital-based administration system, and an increase in teachers' competency in the use of learning technology. Furthermore, a collaborative culture is formed that supports learning innovation and the integration of Islamic educational values with digital transformation. This program contributes to the development of an effective Service Learning-based mentoring model to strengthen school leadership and encourage sustainable digital transformation in Islamic education environments.

Abstract

This study examines junior high school students’ perceptions of artificial intelligence (AI) utilization in Islamic Education (PAI) learning. Although AI use in education has increased, empirical studies focusing on students’ perceptions at the junior high school level, particularly in the context of Islamic Education, remain limited; this study addresses that gap. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, data were collected from 23 ninth-grade students through a 10-item Likert-scale questionnaire covering cognitive, affective, and conative aspects, with indicators including ease of use, content alignment with Islamic sources, satisfaction and trust, motivation and active learning, and ethics and responsible use. Likert-scale results were interpreted using predefined categorical intervals ranging from “very poor” to “very good.” The findings show an overall positive perception of AI utilization in PAI learning (mean = 4.07), categorized as “good.” The highest scores were found in ease of use and ethical use, while the lowest were related to content alignment with Islamic sources. These results indicate students’ positive attitudes toward AI accompanied by critical awareness of its limitations. The study highlights AI’s role as a supportive learning tool in PAI learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and develop a framework for Islamic education in the Indonesian archipelago based on local wisdom and rahmatan lil 'alamin values, focusing on how the integration of these two aspects can strengthen the curriculum, methodology, and character building of students. The method used is library research with a qualitative-descriptive approach, where data is collected through the study of documents, books, scientific articles, and secondary literature related to Islamic education, local wisdom, and the principles of rahmatan lil 'alamin. The results of the study indicate that the integration of local wisdom strengthens moderate social and cultural values, the application of the principles of rahmatan lil 'alamin fosters an inclusive attitude and social responsibility, and the synergy of both in the curriculum and educational methodology produces a contextual, humanistic model of Islamic education in the Indonesian archipelago that is able to face contemporary challenges effectively.

Abstract

This abstract aims to examine the impact of technology and social media on gender and human rights issues within the Muslim community, particularly in the context of changing religious and social discourse in the digital era. This study employs library research methods by analyzing various written sources in the form of academic books, scientific journal articles, research reports, and works by Islamic thinkers and human rights studies relevant to the topics of gender, technology, and social media. Data are analyzed descriptively and analytically by linking Islamic perspectives, social theory, and human rights principles to gain a comprehensive understanding. The results show that technology and social media play a dual role: as a means of education, advocacy, and empowerment in strengthening awareness of gender equality and respect for human rights, while also serving as a space with the potential to cause polarization, misinformation, and the strengthening of gender-biased religious interpretations. Therefore, the integration of Islamic values based on justice, digital ethics, and humanity is key to optimizing the use of technology to contribute positively to upholding gender and human rights within the Muslim community.

Abstract

The exploration of predator insects in productive and non-productive shallots. Predator insects are one of the biological control agents that can suppress pest populations in shallot fields. This study aims to determine the diversity of predator insects in productive shallot fields compared to non-productive shallot fields. The determination of insect locations was conducted using a line transect method divided into three plots. Insect sampling was performed using yellow-plate traps, sweep nets, and pitfall traps. The results showed a total of 8 and 10 families of predator insects. However, the number of morpho-species of predator insects was generally higher in productive fields compared to non-productive fields, with 14 and 20 morpho-species, respectively. The results indicate that the richness, diversity, and evenness of predators in non-productive shallot fields are higher than in productive fields.
