Abstract

Abstract

Poverty and inadequate housing remain persistent issues in Solok Regency. As an effort to empower mustahik, the Solok Regency BAZNAS implements the Uninhabitable House Program (RTLH) through the construction and rehabilitation of homes for low-income communities. This study aims to describe the mechanism for determining program beneficiaries and to examine the program’s impact on their welfare. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, using data collection techniques such as observation, interviews with commissioners, amil, and beneficiaries, as well as program documentation. The data were analyzed through the stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion-drawing using source triangulation. The results show that beneficiary selection is carried out through application submission, administrative verification, field surveys, and deliberative decision-making. The RTLH program improves the physical feasibility of houses, enhances a sense of security, strengthens self-esteem, and promotes social interaction among beneficiaries, although challenges persist due to limited funding and restricted program coverage. Therefore, optimization in planning and expansion of program targets is needed going forward. These findings highlight the strategic role of zakat in poverty alleviation through the provision of decent housing at the regional level

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of financial literacy, entrepreneurial orientation, and access to capital on the performance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the digital economy era, considering the role of digital technology as a mediating variable. The research method uses a quantitative approach with a survey of 100 active MSME players in Indonesia who have been running their businesses for at least two years and utilize digital technology in one aspect of their operations. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using SmartPLS 4.0. The results show that financial literacy, entrepreneurial orientation, and access to capital have a positive and significant effect on MSME performance. Entrepreneurial orientation contributes the most, followed by financial literacy and access to capital. In addition, digital technology was found to mediate the relationship between these three independent variables and MSME performance, strengthening the internal contribution of businesses to increasing competitiveness. These findings confirm that digitalization is not merely an additional tool, but functions as a strategic catalyst in strengthening MSME performance. This study provides practical implications that the government and stakeholders need to expand support for financial literacy, entrepreneurship coaching, and digital-based access to capital so that MSMEs can survive and develop sustainably amid disruption.

Abstract

Speaking skills are an important aspect in the academic and social development of elementary school students. However, fifth grade students of SD Negeri 14 Palu still have difficulty in communicating actively during learning, characterized by a passive attitude and lack of courage to speak. This study aims to determine the implementation of the show and tell method in learning Indonesian in fifth grade of SD Negeri 14 Palu. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the show and tell method is implemented through five main stages, namely: (1) introduction of the method to students, (2) modeling by the teacher as an example, (3) implementation of show and tell activities by students by showing and explaining an object, (4) observation and providing feedback by the teacher, and (5) question and answer session. The obstacles faced include student readiness, differences in speaking skills, and time constraints. However, the teacher tries to overcome them through additional guidance and motivation. The application of this method provides benefits for students, especially in speaking skills, namely choosing appropriate words, better language skills, courage to speak in front of the class, fluency in speaking, and better mastery of the material. Thus, the results of this study indicate that the show and tell method can be implemented effectively in learning to support better speaking skills in elementary school students.

Abstract

This study investigates the extent to which internal oversight and administrative transparency influence the effectiveness of the Maluku Provincial Inspectorate in supporting the achievement of the Monitoring Center for Prevention (MCP) program. Strengthening internal control systems and improving transparency is crucial for ensuring accountable governance and preventing administrative irregularities. Using a quantitative associative design, the study surveyed 105 Inspectorate personnel through structured Likert-scale questionnaires. Data were analyzed using instrument validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption testing, and multiple linear regression. The results show that internal oversight has a strong and significant positive effect on Inspectorate effectiveness, demonstrating its central role in improving compliance, minimizing risks, and supporting MCP performance. Administrative transparency also exerts a significant positive influence, although to a lesser degree, indicating that accessible information systems and open documentation enhance monitoring accuracy. Simultaneously, both variables significantly predict Inspectorate effectiveness, confirming the importance of integrated internal control and transparency frameworks. This study contributes empirical evidence to public governance research and highlights the need to reinforce control mechanisms and transparency practices to improve MCP achievements in regional government institutions.

Abstract

Concentration ability is crucial for pre-service economics teacher students to master complex economic concepts and develop pedagogical competencies. This study examines the impact of short-form digital content addiction on students' concentration abilities. A quantitative correlational research design was employed, involving 180 students from the Economics Education Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Halu Oleo University, selected through proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected using the Short-Form Video Addiction Scale questionnaire and the Grid Concentration Test. Simple linear regression analysis revealed that short-form digital content addiction had a significant negative effect on concentration ability (p=0.000<α=0.05), with the regression equation Y = 23.418 - 0.132X. The path coefficient of -0.552 indicates that short-form digital content addiction has a negative effect (-55.2%) on students' concentration ability. The findings demonstrate that higher levels of addiction to TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts correspond to lower concentration ability among students.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of hard skills and soft skills on the work readiness of Islamic banking alumni, both directly and indirectly through work motivation as an intervening variable. A quantitative research design was employed using a census approach involving 196 alumni of the Islamic Banking Study Program at UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar who had entered the workforce. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4.0.The results indicate that hard skills and soft skills significantly influence work motivation and work readiness. Soft skills demonstrate a stronger effect on work motivation, while motivation plays a crucial mediating role in strengthening the relationship between both types of skills and work readiness. Furthermore, work motivation significantly enhances graduates’ preparedness to meet professional demands, particularly in the Islamic banking sector. These findings contribute theoretically by reinforcing the role of motivation as a key mediating variable linking technical and non-technical competencies with work readiness. Practically, this study provides important implications for higher education institutions and the Islamic banking industry in designing curricula and development programs that integrate the enhancement of hard skills, soft skills, and motivational aspects to improve graduate employability and career alignment with the Islamic financial sector

Abstract

The Politeknik Negeri Pontianak Student Dormitory consists of four floors with a capacity of 345 people, which is dependent on water supply from the Regional Water Company (PDAM). Water availability is often disrupted, especially in the morning.  Therefore, this study aims to design a plumbing system that integrates rainwater harvesting (RWH) as an alternative water source, along with clean water and wastewater systems that comply with national standards.  The methodology used includes water demand analysis based on the number of residents, evaluation of rainwater harvesting potential from the roof, reservoir capacity calculations, pump specifications, and piping networks up to the septic tank based on Indonesian National Standards (SNI) and other standards.  Additionally, the designed piping system considers distribution efficiency, adequate water pressure, and safe sanitation. Based on the calculation in this planning, the use of a rainwater harvesting system can minimize PDAM usage by 11.18%. This plan is expected to provide a sustainable solution for clean water supply in the campus environment, particularly at the Pontianak State Polytechnic Student Dormitory.

Abstract

Waste management issues in rural areas remain a serious challenge requiring comprehensive and sustainable intervention. Bongo Nol Village, Paguyaman District, Boalemo Regency, faces challenges related to low community awareness regarding organic and non-organic waste management. This Community Service Program (KKM) aims to empower the community by providing waste management infrastructure in the form of organic and non-organic waste bins strategically placed in five hamlets. The implementation method includes field observation, needs analysis, design planning, waste bin production, educational labeling, distribution, and installation at strategic locations with active participation from Youth Organization (Karang Taruna) and local communities. The results demonstrate increased community understanding of the importance of waste sorting from the source and the availability of supporting facilities that enable residents to practice proper waste disposal habits according to waste types. This program serves as concrete evidence of students' contribution to creating a clean, healthy, and sustainable village environment through an education-infrastructure approach based on community participation.
